The lamp is being offered as found for parts or refurbish or keep as is. The lamp stands 8.7/8" tall as is. The soot catcher or chimney cap is missing. The copper housing shows a lot of aged patina. There is a crack in the copper in the pierced trim that goes around the chimney(see image 9) The bottom door also has a split or crack(see image 5) The curved, green glass is in excellent condition for its age, just a few fine scratches and some dirt. The lantern has both port& starboard lenses, with a dividing plate between the ribbed red& deep aqua green glass. The lantern has old silver paint with typical surface age. The interior lamp is brass& shows surface greening. The wick advances. One of the two side mounting brackets on the interior lamp is missing. The lantern displays very nicely& the glass on the lantern is free of any chips or cracks. No dents. It measures 11" high to the top of the holding ring by 4.5" wide and 7" deep. Vintage Starboard Ship Kerosene Lantern Light Lamp Port Blue Glass Brass 21" BIG
Vintage ship's starboard lantern in a unique tri-plex shape. One of the largest I've seen at 21" from base to finial. 11" x 11" square with the typical curved front. Thick blue glass(not an interchangeable light filter) with horizontal grooves. Brass trim and a brass finial with hanging ring. Great"keyhole" vent holes throughout. Suffers from an untidy paint job and is in need of some updating. Missing original kerosene lamp and has been converted with a light socket. Needs new electrical cord. Brass has a lovely patina and there is still some vintage kerosene soot on the inside of this lamp. There is a small spot on the bottom by a switch of some sort that corrosion has eaten through the metal. But it's repairable and not endemic to the rest of the lantern. Glass is free of cracks or chips.

vintage starboard/port maritime ship lantern set PERKO?
Purchased on ebay many years ago. Each lantern measures ~12.5 in tall(to top of ring) and ~8in across(at widest measurement) They are vintage and weathered. I am not sure of maker or age. But they look similar to Perko lanterns. The"Starboard" and"Port" wording are mostly gone, weathered away. Then lens of each is is good shape. The port lens, red, has someVERY minor superficial scratches in a small area, but no chips, cracks or other flaws that I can see. The starboard lens, green, has a few areas of"pits" but no obvious cracks or chips. The bottom pieces and burners of each are missing, as per the picture of one. Paypal only. Antique Universal Metal Spinning & Stamping Co Starboard Ship Lantern Blue Lens
Here is an antique ship's lantern made by Universal Metal Spinning and Stamping Co. New York. The manufacturer is stamped into the side of the lantern. Also. Markings on the top say"Starboard Classes II& III" The triangular shaped lantern has a hinged door, vented top, and a handle for carrying. I believe this is a brass lantern, but I am not certain. The metal is non magnetic. The lens is thick and'ridged' and is blue in color. There is no burner in the lantern. The lantern and lens are dirty, but I do not see any cracks in the lens, or any dents/dings in the lantern. Lantern measures about 10" tall(not including the handle) and is about 7 1/4" wide from corner to corner. In searching the internet, I have seen a very similar lantern set(both port and starboard) by the same manufacturer, sell on liveauctioneers.com, ... morefor $350. This vintage marine lantern is a corner piece. The green glass indicates that it is a starboard light. It is comprised of copper at the top and appears to be nickel or steel for the body. There is a bottom hatch that opens in order to place a candle to illuminate the green glass. Bottom hatch does not stay tightly closed on its own so I would suggest securing it closed if you intend to use a candle in it. The lantern is 11" tall and 6" at its widest. The 112° dioptric green lens has turned to a bluish green because of the manganese used as the glass clearing agent between 1860 and 1915. Based on the quality. Design, and materials used, it was most likely built in the early 1900s and still has original Wilcox Crittenden manufacturer’s tag attached to the back. The lantern is made of brass and galvanized tin measuring 10½” tall x 7” wide x 5½” deep. It is the“Hurricane Tested” model which has the original font tank with a P&A“Waterbury” burner(with wick) plus 110V electric lighting including a 64” power cord and in-line switch. Antique Brass NATIONAL MARINE LAMP CO NEW YORK Port & Starboard Nautical Lantern
Measures approx. 8-3/4" high to top of cap and 10-1/2" to top of ring. Made entirely of brass and signed on the back"M'F'R'D. BY NATIONAL MARINE LAMP CO. NEW YORK. Wick adjustment knob is signed"P.A. MFG. CO. WATERBURY, CONN. MADE IN U.S.A. Lamp is all original and complete, wick still adjusts up and down freely. However, there are two old solder repairs to the two burner spring clips, and at some point someone cut a crude hole in the bottom hinged cover plate for an electric wire. Glass lenses appear to be the originals and are in good condition with NO cracks or chips. Still in very nice overall condition, just needs cleaning and polishing-if desired. THIS IS AN ANTIQUE NAUTICAL MARINE SHIP LANTERN WITHOUT THE LAMP. THERE IS A BRASS LABEL MARKED"STARBOARD" ON THE FRONT. THE LANTERN MEASURES 11 1/2" HIGH AND 6" WIDE. THE LANTERN GOES INTO A CORNER. THE TWO TIER TOP IS BRASS BUT THE REST OF THE LANTERN IS A METAL. THERE IS SOME SURFACE RUST ON THE FRAME AROUND THE GLASS. THERE IS A LATCH ON THE OPENING DOOR THAT CONNECTS WITH TWO OTHER SMALL LOOPS THAT A PIN GOES INTO TO LATCH THE DOOR. THE PIN IS MISSING. THE LANTERN WAS ORIGINALLY PAINTED GREEN BUT MOST OF THE PAINT IS FLAKED OFF. THERE IS A FLAP IN THE BACK FOR SECURING THE LAMP TO THE WALL. I HAVE TRIED TO SHOW EVERY PART OF THE LANTERN.
