They are solid copper with glass lenses and appear to be very nice quality lamps. We believe that these were made in the 1960's era as replacements for the original antique lamps. I would imagine that they were very expensive to purchase when new. They measure 9 1/2 inches tall" not counting the bail handle" by about 6 inches wide. They are in very nice condition with only a couple fairly minor little dents. The ne burner has the chimney and the other burner does not. Up for sale is a beautiful old brass maritime oil lantern that is signed"Wedge. This is a really cool old lantern. And it was very well made. There is glass on all four sides behind the grates. One side is a door that opens via a little latch. This lantern measures about 15" tall by 6 3/4" by 6 3/4" The brass has a beautiful, aged patina and the glass is free of any chips or cracks. The wick is still intact. The lantern is very dusty& dirty, and could use a good cleaning, but structurally it appears to be fine, with no dents or damage. A very nice and highly collectable lantern!

Here's a Nice Vintage Wall Mounted Gimbal Ship's Oil Lamp with Sea Serpent offered at NO RESERVE! The fellow I acquired this from told me it was from an old Wood Chris Craft he owned back in the 1970s. He thought the lamp itself was from the 1950s. And he kept it in his office as a remembrance since selling the boat. The bracket for the gimbal mount has a wonderful Sea Serpent, and it all seems of a very good quality. The only name I see is on the wick adjustment knob which appears to read"Marmen" plus a couple other letters. The brass has areas of tarnish, the most to the top of the dome at the top(picture 6) I do not have the glass shade but that should be easily sourced. The wood has a few minor nicks and so forth, and the height of the wood is about 21" while with the lamp in place the overall height is approximately ... more24 and 1/2" I will disassemble this for shipping, which includes insurance and will be $15.00 in the lower 48, Thanks

Vintage Copper Oil Lamp Possibly Brass? Weighted Ship Lamp?
Here we have a cool old copper oil lamp. I believe it's copper. As the bottom is turning that beautiful reddish tint. The portions above that, however, look like they could be brass, as they are aging differently. The lamp is approximately 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide. The only identifying marks are on the neck in tiny writing which says"patd oct 31 1875" I'm sure it's that old but I couldn't find another like it. The lamp does not have any dents or scratches to speak of. It was probably a ship lamp. As the base is weighted. The whole lamp is heavy for its size; I would say 5 or 6 pounds or so. If you know what this lamp is or anything about it. Please let me know, as I love learning about old stuff like this.

For auction is an old oil lamp. Very unusual one, I think. I have not been able to figure out too much about it. It has some age though. The bottom is weighted, which I was thinking might indicate that it was to be used on a boat or ship. The only marking is on the knob and it has an R and V on each side of a anchor. I have had this a few years in my basement bar. But changing themes and it is time to let it go. I am not sure it is functional, but the way it is made I would expect that it might be. Antique Sailing Ship's Cabin Oil Lantern on Gimble with Wick & Hurricane Globe
This is a small sailing ship cabin copper/brass oil lamp with glass hurricane globe mounted in a gimble for full motion on a rolling vessel. I have no idea of it's exact age but likely from the late 19th century. It's tarnished and I haven't attempted to clean it up. It measures approximately 7 1/2/ H by 3 1/2" W and would stand away from a ships bulkhead approximately 4 1/2" and weighs approximately 1 pound. It has the glass hurricane globe intact as well as a frabric wick so all you would need to do is fill it with keroscene(or whale oil? and light it up. Wonderful old lamp from the days of sail. Here we have a very large ship or boat lamp or lantern marked"Anchor" This estate found lantern is made from solid brass which has been lacquered. Although the lacquer is crazing from age. It still displays very nicely. The center cap in the top flips up and it also opens at the base of the top as well. There is an oil lamp inside that does have the wick. In the center there is a very thick ribbed glass lens that has no cracks. There is a brass anchor hook on the top and the bottom. No dents, nice vintage condition. Very large, the lamp itself measures an impressive 18 1/2" tall not including the anchor hooks at the top and bottom. Diameter is about 9 3/4" This sizable lamp displays nicely. N ice old Perko Oil Lamp Font Part all brass made by Perko as shown on the bottom. I believe most of their Oil Lamps were made for boats/ships. In really nice condition. The burner says P& A MFG Waterbury Conn. It opens up as shown in pictures. Has a little screw that probably held in a shade. Great piece. TERMS: Payment is due within 3 days from end of Auction. PayPal is my preferred method of payment. If item is breakable there will be an additional charge for Insurance. Items are packed very well but the Post Office is not always careful. Vintage Bow Mounted Ship Lamp NAUTICAL GREEN AND RED OIL LAMP with BURNER
Up for bid is a vintage bow marker light fixture complete with oil burner made by Kilborn-Sauer Co. Out of Fairfield, Connecticut. The body is galvanized and top is brass. The top has written on it KILBORN-SAUER CO FAIRFIELD CONN U.S.A. The body is in good condition. Near the top rear the lip has small tear. The brass top has a small crack where it attaches to the galvanized metal. No cracks visible in glass but both pieces have several chips on the external ribs. The burner looks to be in working order and the wick screws up and down. You can use kerosene or bottled lamp oil that is easy to find. The tank appears clean and dry( I have not added oil to it. A small flash lite was temporarily inserted to show the colors of the lens) The burner twists counter-clockwise out of the bottom for easy refill and wick replacement. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. Lamp is hand machined in pure heavy-gauge copper with brass trim. Vintage Copper PERKO Nautical Ship Lantern Electrical Marine Light Gulf Oil
This 16 1/4" tall electric lantern with an all original patina and toggle switch is from the estate of Howard Craven. He was a ship captain for the Gulf Oil Company until he retired in the early 1950's. When he then took up painting ships with oil on canvas. His father was also a ship captain, so I'm not sure which one used this lantern. It is all copper than I can see. It would be beautiful polished up, but I chose to leave it as is for those of you that would prefer it in it's original condition. It has what looks like original inner parts, wires, etc. see pictures) I have not tested to see if it works. I prefer not to challenge things like this since I know nothing of how they work.
