Vintage Starboard Ship Kerosene Lantern Light Lamp Port Blue Glass Brass 21" BIG
Vintage ship's starboard lantern in a unique tri-plex shape. One of the largest I've seen at 21" from base to finial. 11" x 11" square with the typical curved front. Thick blue glass(not an interchangeable light filter) with horizontal grooves. Brass trim and a brass finial with hanging ring. Great"keyhole" vent holes throughout. Suffers from an untidy paint job and is in need of some updating. Missing original kerosene lamp and has been converted with a light socket. Needs new electrical cord. Brass has a lovely patina and there is still some vintage kerosene soot on the inside of this lamp. There is a small spot on the bottom by a switch of some sort that corrosion has eaten through the metal. But it's repairable and not endemic to the rest of the lantern. Glass is free of cracks or chips.

Vintage Pauluhn Ship's Bronze / Brass Wall Light Salvage find.
This is a recovered"Pauluhn" Bronze/ Brass Ship's Light that was salvaged by a personal friend of mine over 30 years ago(Captain Gardner. RIP) This was rinsed off once over 30 years ago and not touched since. It still has the grit/ mud/ sediment from the bottom of the waters clinging to it as the day it was brought up on deck. I knew this Captain friend of mine for many years and he gave this to me with other salvaged Nautical Items as I built my collection(HE was in the salvage business for over 20 years along the Gulf Coast) We lost Captain Gardner in 2004 and I think about the great stories we shared over the years. I am down sizing and want to pass this on to somebody that might be able to appreciate it almost as much as I have. I could clean this up, but I am going to leave this to your discretion. You can look anywhere ... moreand find polished ship items but this one is an original from the deep. If my memory serves correct, the good Captain told me that this item came from a self propelled wood hull barge that sunk in Galveston Bay. Nippon Sento Brass Stern Light(1976) Specs: Nippon Sento CO. Ltd Stern Light. Class: A1 No.6. Manufacture# B 1937. Manufacture Date/Place: Dec 1976 Japan. Material: Brass + copper? Size: about 23cm diameter and 24 cm high. Looks to have seen it’s time at sea. It is a beautiful piece regardless. I have not removed any of the patina. It is original and untouched(except for the label which I polished a bit) I have taken lots of picture. Please review them and ask any questions. This is a very beautiful and rather rare model of stern light. It would be a nice addition to your décor or as an operational piece of vintage marine equipment on your boat. Condition: In unrestored condition(I polished the label a bit to be readable) Patina is excellent. Even has sea salt on it: It is very structurally sound. Built to last and has. Lid opens. Back ... morescrew is fused with some stripping. The glass looks to be in excellent condition with no cracks. I believe it to be original because the hallmark on the glass is the same as on the casing. Cord has been cut and does not work(would suggest retro-fitting with modern electrics to be safe) The place where the light cord connects with the body has a crack(see picture) Dints and dings from many years at sea. Two matching vintage wall light sconces with a nautical theme. They both work. But they have the old fabric cord. Beautiful wood ball and brass arm. The wood on one is lighter than the other. There are two extra holes at the bottom where the pegs are missing on each one. They show wear with some scuffs on the surface of wood and tarnished metal. See photos. This one appears to be a Viking but I cannot find any markings on this lantern or the lamp itself. It is complete. The wick is inside of the oil tank as shown. Has a black wooden handle on the top. For your consideration is a very old Westinghouse Electronic MFG. Co. Floodlight. It is very heavy. It's on a stand and the light swivels up and down. A metal plate on the top front says that the watts are 200 and the Style is 1217420. There is a W on the top metal and also in the middle of the lens. I found one like this on Google and it is described as Vintage Nautical. Maritime Floodlight, Naval, Ship Light from around the 1940's. I know nothing about the history of the floodlight but would like to know more about it if anyone can tell me more. The cord is old and I did not test it. This item is large and heavy. I'm guessing it is cast iron and aluminum but not sure of the material. Vintage Red Glass Fresnel Lens For Ship Light Or Lantern
This is for one vintage– antique red glass lens for a boat light. Ship light, shore light or lantern. It is in the shape of half of a cylinder. The lens is in the shape of a Fresnel lighthouse style lens. It is red glass through and through. Not just red on the surfaces. It is 7 3/8 inches tall and 7 7/8 inches wide at it's widest. It has an inside diameter of 6 9/16 inches. It has a molded in rabbit or stepped edge for mounting in the lantern on the top and bottom. On the top edge it has"Corning Made in U.S.A. molded in the glass. The side edges have grind marks from making it flat there. There are some small chips on the edges. There are no cracks or repairs on it. It came from Duluth, Minnesota. Duluth is at the west end of Lake Superior and has a large ocean going ship harbor. Originally powered with kerosene or some other oil. Has been wired so that it can be enjoyed electrically. Has a blinking circuit inside and uses ordinary light bulbs. Blue and red lenses are in great well preserved condition. No cracks.The light housing has a couple of small dents but nothing serious. This is a vintage 1950's cabin ceiling light that I removed from the Captains cabin on the treasure hunting ship. Arctic Discoverer. The Arctic Discoverer was auctioned off in May, 2013 to a salvage company. I was fortunate enough to be able to collect some artifacts from this historic ship before it was sent to the scrap yard. The Arctic Discoverer is the ship that recovered tons of gold and artifacts from the"Ship of Gold" the SS Central America in 1988. The Arctic Discoverer has been featured on the History Channel on their show"History's Mysteries, Ship of Gold" It can also be seen in numerous pictures in the book"Americas Lost Treasure" by Tommy Thompson, the man who led the recovery expedition.
