I cannot find any others to compare it to on ebay and there are no markings on the light other than on the socket inside the lamp and on the side as shown are the letters P&O. I am not sure if this was a gas type light or not. Although it has a socket where a bulb or something would have fit but on the side of the light it looks like a flint or sparker. The light will need the chrome trim cleaned.Sorry I am not much help here, please see the pictures and maybe someone out there can tell me more. The works are mounted on a nice piece of oak and there are exposed wires etc on the back. It appears the glass is missing however the clip holder to hold the glass guard in is in the metal hood. The metal hood is hinged and has holes to let the heat escape. The light measures 11" long x 5" wide and weighs unpackaged 3-1/2 pounds.At the top of the light is a knob that can be turned to control the brightness i am guessing. I will combine items to save on shipping expenses, but please contact me for shipping rates as they vary depending on location, and the rates shown are only a ball park and apply only to Canada not including postal tax. I am not sure if this was a gas type light or not. Although it has a socket where a bulb or something would have fit but on the side of the light it looks like a flint or sparker. Antique Brass Nautical Light Ship Lantern This is a heavy(7-1/2lb. antique brass ship lantern. It is in good condition with the exception of several dents and a bent section of the guard. Please see photos. The internal lamp part is missing but a big 22oz Yankee Candle fits inside perfectly! Candle not included. The fixture is ventilated on top and bottom. It was designed for a flame burning oil lamp originally. The patina is nice. The glass lens is in great shape. The silver colored reflector inside is also in excellent condition. Tryed to scratch through the coating and it does not feel to have the weight of bronze. Yes. patina and silver paint of the past. 4"1/2" Tall flange to flange. Add 1"5/16" to it for where the wire comes out. 3"3/4" Across cap not including the spots of the bolts. 9-S-4532-L Number on lid. Looks to be made of aluminum. Added 3 pictures of the lens. Found a small chip shown in picture 1. Glass lens looks to be in really good condition. One chip. No cracks that we can see. Did not unbolt it. Lens may be about 3"3/8" dia x 3" to 3"1/8" tall. Up for auction is a antique bow light. I am unsure what boat this was off of but it was definitely removed from a boat here on long island. It appears to have a brass body and blue/ red glass. Glass is in good condition with about 3 tiny. Tiny chips on the ribs of the glass that are hardly noticeable. Also has a few tiny paint specks, age& dirt. No cracks though. The lantern has been painted red sometime in its life that’s faded, chipping. It comes with a chain& Original brass Miller Co. burner& hurricane ... moreglass that’s attached to bottom cover. The hurricane is in good condition with some tiny chipping along the bottom rim that goes into the burner. Also is soiled. The base has two mount holes that are about 5 inches on center of each other. The globe is glass and in good condition. The light weighs almost 6 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. This light has been totally rewired ... morewith all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of 250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires terminate inside the brass junction box on the bottom of the light. HUGE Brass Nautical Wall or Ceiling Light -Rewire & Polished - BIG SHIP SALVAGE

You are bidding on the wall/ ceiling cast brass nautical light shown in the above photos. This light measures 9 inches wide and 5 inches tall. It weighs almost 9 pounds. We have soda blasted it and polished it. We have also rewired it will all new UL-Listed parts rated to work with any voltage under 250 volts. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less. The top cover is held closed by three wing nuts that all work freely. The glass is undamaged. We have installed a screw in brass plug in the original conduit hole. A new hole has been drilled on the bottom side. You bring your wires into the light ... moreby using the original conduit holes. Or the new hole we drilled. The lights you see in the above photos are the lights you will be shipped. We take new photos for each auction! If you have questions.
