I see no holes in the metal and they appear solid. The lanterns are 22" tall not including the handle and are 14" wide- left side corner to right side corner. The Port lantern is missing the"T" screw at the side bracket. The Starboard lantern has the"T" screw in the side bracket. Cute little nautical light from the 1940s probably manufactured by Progress Lighting. Glass shade is hand painted in a deep red or maroon with a compass on the bottom and tall sailing ships on the side. I think the highlight of this light is the brass anchor finial. Glass in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It will come to you rewired and will take two 60 watt bulbs. Up for auction is a vintage brass ship's bulkhead/ passageway light. It weights approx. 8.5 lbs. It belonged to my Dad who was in the Navy and worked on a tug boat after the service. I see the R&S Co Ny marking on what appears to be a on/off switch. It was hanging on the wall in his house and was wired to a light switch. Was working fine prior to disconnect. The only info I could find on this company was from the 1930s which is likely commensurate with the age and patina on this lantern fixture. It measures 15 inches long from ceiling canopy to base. The base diameter of the lantern is 6-1/4 inches. The interior"jelly jar" glass measures 4-3/4 inches long and 4-1/4 inches in diameter. Vintage Industrial Age Light Spot Lamp Antique Marine Fixture Ship Military
This auction is for one vintage ship spot light. We bought this fixture from a local estate. It belonged to a man that served in the Navy as a dentist. This was part of a large lot of vintage dental equipment that we purchased. We were told that it was from one of the many military ships that he practiced on. The fixture does work. There is a separate bulb socket mounted on the plate that supports the round light diffuser that is not wired. But the bulb in the center of the diffuser works(see pictures) Cosmetically, there are scratches and plenty of wear. It was painted black at some point and that paint is flaking and there is surface rust present(see pictures) It has been in storage for quite a while and it needs to be cleaned. This is an Old brass lamp- age unknown- has some dings and pitting on the body and the concave mirror in the back of lamp is cracked and about 25% of the mirror silver backing is flaked off. Vintage Benjamin light. Most likely from a submarine engine room. This light features a heavy brass junction box(4 1/2" attached below the main light. Also comes with 2 fixing tabs for attaching to wall or ceiling. The original socket lampholder& switch(Bryant BECO F-8428) in very good condition. This light also comes with an on/off switch, something you rarely see with these type of lights. Overall 9 inches tall. I've rewired this for a typical lamp plug(8ft) One of the few references I can find for this light/socket is from the San Francisco Maritime Park Association where they are doing a restoration of the World War II Balao class Fleet submarine USS Pampanito(SS-383)

Vintage Brass Clearance Light..Ship?Military?Aviation?Dalmo Mfg Company.
This unique little light was made sometime between the late 1920s up untill the early 1940s when the company moved out of San Francisco.Unsure of exact application and have been told it could be for everything from a Trolley Car to a Military Airplane since the company did get involved in WW2.Being brass my first thought is possibly a Maritime item off a ship.It is a very well built piece and you can see it is missing the three tiny screws that would that would secure the top to the base.The glass lens has no maker marks and has a chip on the inside lip that is only noticeable when totally removed.A possible rare find to who knows what.Pictures are accurate on condition.Thanks.

Wonderful old signal lantern. Marked Seahorse GB 43366. As found with a nice patina. Stands ~ 14 1/4" tall not counting the bail. Dent in top which could be pushed out from inside.
