Tried to scratch through the coating and it does NOT seem to be bronze. Yes. patina and silver paint of the past. 13" Bottom flange to the top. 4"5/8" Dia across cap not including the spots of the bolts. 9-S-4326-L Number on lid. Looks to be made of aluminum. Added 4 pictures of the lens. For you to check out. Clear lens looks to be in really good condition. No cracks that we can see. Red lens has a crack in it and no chips just the crack. Picture of it added. Did not unbolt it. Each lens may be about 4"1/4" to 4"3/8" Dia. And about 4"3/16" tall. That is a close estimate of size. Again we did not take it apart. Here is a beautiful new aged looking primitive lantern light. RARE Vintage Lantern Light Buoy Piling Ship Anchor Dock Nautical Galv. Brass
Up for auction today is vintage nautical lantern. Different people call these types by such names as; buoy. Piling, master head, anchor, or dock lantern/ light. I am not sure of the proper name or use for this lantern. Can you inform me? It measures 17 ½” tall. The bottom is 8” in diameter, the top is 7 ½” in diameter, the lens is 4 ¾” tall(the exposed portion) and the lens is approx 5” in diameter. The lens is a dark ruby red and I see no cracks or chips. The body is galvanized metal with the rings. Latching hardware and the top ring of bottom portion being made of brass. There is a makers mark on the inside but some is missing and I cannot tell by what I can read who the maker is. Do you know? I assume that it was battery operated but there is no battery or wiring that is visible. I did not take the top portion apart and ... moredo not know if there is a bulb inside. The one photo that shows the lens bright was held up to the sun. The lantern is in good overall condition with some oxidation and rust as shown. U.S. Navy World War II Masthead Brass Nautical Ship Light Must See!!
U. S. NAVY WW II MASTHEAD LIGHT This great light is waterproof and sported 6 x 15 volts for very bright lights. Why 6 you ask? Because the light was positioned on top of the mast. Making it hard to reach to replace a bulb during battle conditions, and if some burned out the others carried on! I have no idea how the bulbs were powered or how the wiring worked. You can take out the bulb sockets in the light and it has a pretty deep cavity to either place a battery or add your own lighting. I did not make any holes or try to adapt it for a more modern light. The numbers"166/11MM 2.82" are embossed in the glass. This item is 6 inches tall. The overall width is right at 7 inches. The top of the globe from outside edge to outside edge measures 6 3/16 inches. The bottom edge measures 6 1/8 inches wide from outside edge to outside edge. As you can see in the attached photos. This light is in excellent condition with only 3 very minor edge flakes. The total thickness of this item is 3/4 of an inch, and it weighs just over 5 pounds. Very nice nautical sail ship night light. Fair shape for it's age. No chips or cracks in the glass bottom. Glass bottom has chipped paint and chrome needs polishing. But it looks so cool lite up! The green and red colored plastic on the deck is cracked on each side, but not very noticable. All sails are there but strings need reattched in a few places. Fantastic Old USCG SOLID BRONZE SHIP CHANNEL MARKER LIGHT Clear Fresnel Lens 24"
Fantastic Offering OLD USCG CHANNEL MARKER LIGHT This looks to be solid bronze. Clear Fresnel lens. I've had this one forever! It's real and it's heavy. May have come from the Charleston. SC harbor.but I will not attest to that provenance. It shows the signs of use as the fresnel lens has some chips and the pin that allows the top to rotate open has been removed for safe operation(just unscrew the knurled ties and carefully lift the top completely off) One of the rods is wrung off too, but is hardly noticeable. This nautical lantern was originally painted white inside and that paint is partially intact. We think that the main body is cast bronze but could actually be brass, some of the components are indeed brass. We believe that the exterior was painted red(for red right returning) and remnants of that remain. Of course, one ... moreschool of thought is that this light should be polished up to a brillant shine.we like to leave things in their beautiful natural form here and have left it untouched in that regard. Forged into the base are the markings: A. U. S. C. G. LOVELL- ARLINGTON. NJ That would be F. H. Lovell& Co. of Arlington. NJ we presume. And those four protrusions on the base bottom are actually threaded bosses so bolting this baby down is no problem. Installing a lamp inside will be no problem either as the posts are intact and the entrance hole in the side is open. Height is about 24" including the bird spike and diameter is about 13" Considering the weight and absolute exquisite uniqueness of this nautical lamp, shipping is offered by FedEx only and I will pack the base and the lens in separate parcels to best avoid any problems.hence the shipping cost is going to be a little more than usual. Large Anchor Brass Lantern Copper 19" lamp light ship nautical nautical marine
Some tarnish. Scuffs/etc and three brackets screwed into the base. A small ding or two that I wouldn't call dents, but you may. Approximately 10 inches across the bottom and 19 inches tall- 21 inches if you count the top handle- more if you count the bottom handle: I do not know if the oil burner works or ever was supposed to work. It does not look like any burning went on. I would rewire it as it looks like 60's/70s wiring to me. Any questions. Please ask and thanks for looking!

Vintage? Starboard boat light rustic maritime collectible ship electric
I found this at an estate sale I am not sure if its vintage. It has been made into a light to hang or clip on something. I think it might have been copper at one time. It is rusty. The light does work it is a bulb that flickers like candle. The cord comes out the bottom and does not sit level. All it says on it is starboard.Please check out all the pictures. There is a screw you loosen and the top lifts up.The green glass has no breaks in it. Thank you for looking and if you have any questions I will try to answer. Antique all brass maritime or industrial light fixture with cage. It' set up for gaslight as originally made but can be converted. It's in very good condition except for the cage which is a little bent to one side but can be fixed. The lens is frosted which seems to be unusual. 9" tall. 5" across. USCG Nautical Channel marker mfg. by Wallace-Tiernan Belleville NJ A INTERESTING PIECE OF SF NAUTICAL HISTORY. This solid bronze antique channel marker was given to a USCG Admiral upon his retirement. The light still functions It was displayed in his office and rewired with a timer where it remained until his death. It was then passed onto a family friend who placed it in storage. It is being offered for sale at this time. It stands 24 inches tall by 13 inches at the widest point. The 4 base mounting holes are spaced 9 to 9 and 1/2 inches square. Vintage Palazolli ship light glass red Red Sea!
Up for auction is a red ship light cover that came from an old Italian Palazolli brass ship light. My friend actually recovered this while diving in the red sea which is no longer allowed(I believe) I got rid of the brass fixture it was attached to years ago. However. I am listing this for someone who may need one and can't find one. It is 6 1/2" tall. The only small chips I see are at the base. They are marked P. G. CO. These are thick and heavy like a jar. Have the screw in top. These are clear glass and have marks on them from use and the one has a film on it needs cleaned I did a quick wipe off not sure if it will come off. The one(not filmy) has a series of smaller chips that make it look like some one bit the rim where it screws in. These chips are on the rim not effecting the screw type ... morethreads. Up for auction is a pair of electrified ship lanterns. I picked these up from a local estate. So I'm unsure the history of these items. Items are dirty and show normal wear from over the years. Passageway Passage Way Nautical Decorative Red Light Tiki Bar Ship Room Decor
It simply looks great. I picked them up at a novelty shop about 12 years ago and they were in the hallway leading to my nautical rec room. We downsized to a condo and my wife won- it's all Victorian now. The light is 11 inches long with the hanger& 4 inches wide(28cm x 10cm) weigh a little over a pound and made of Plastic. Easily hangs anywhere because of the weight. The red lenses make you think your in a submarine. Works perfectly and in near mint condition and will never rust. Even up close it looks real. Nautical Silver color. The electrical cord is 8ft 4 inches- 170Cm This is for 1 light. However I do combine shipping if you buy both.

BRONZE PERKO BOW LIGHT BOX BOAT SAILBOAT SHIP BRASS
This is an old bronze Perko bow light we found at a local estate sale. It measures 7+7/8 inches long. 4+3/4 inches wide and 3+3/4 inches tall. This one is in used condition. It needs rewiring and has no guts whatsoever. It has a small crack in the bronze on the front of the light and the plug on the back is missing. The lenses are perfect with no chips or cracks. Both lenses say Perko on them. Inside there is a small flake of glass missing by one of the plates holding the lense in. It would be perfect for that authentic restoration! Description This is a stunning piece of naval history. This naval brass light structure dates back to circa 1940's. There is a light bulb and glass cover at the bottom. At the other end there is an arrow engrave into the brass with the word"Top" This table came from the estate of an avid maritime and nautical antiques collector.
