Antique Nautical Maritime Brass Ship Cargo Kerosene Lamp Lantern Vintage Heavy
This lantern is approximately 5.5" x 5.5" x 14.5" and weighs almost 6 lbs. All glass in intact with no cracks. It has a wedge burner. I have not tried to use it. It has been used in the past as there is soot at the top. Please see pictures for further condition. It appears shinier in the pictures than it really is. I have not cleaned it or polished it.

Vintage Starboard Ship Kerosene Lantern Light Lamp Port Blue Glass Brass 21" BIG
Vintage ship's starboard lantern in a unique tri-plex shape. One of the largest I've seen at 21" from base to finial. 11" x 11" square with the typical curved front. Thick blue glass(not an interchangeable light filter) with horizontal grooves. Brass trim and a brass finial with hanging ring. Great"keyhole" vent holes throughout. Suffers from an untidy paint job and is in need of some updating. Missing original kerosene lamp and has been converted with a light socket. Needs new electrical cord. Brass has a lovely patina and there is still some vintage kerosene soot on the inside of this lamp. There is a small spot on the bottom by a switch of some sort that corrosion has eaten through the metal. But it's repairable and not endemic to the rest of the lantern. Glass is free of cracks or chips.

This brass hanging bulkhead ship's lantern is a rare example of the workmanship and quality of Wm. Harvie& Co. Ltd. Birmingham, England, one of the largest and finest nautical lighting manufacturers at the turn of the 20th century. Dating to around 1900, the lantern has a detachable kerosene burner and hand-blown font. Except for the wick, everything on the lantern is original. Measuring 17 inches tall. Excluding the ring handle. The lantern is marked with a plaque on the domed top. It reads, Wm. Harvie& Co. Ltd. 121 Bishop Street, Birmingham. It is substantial. Weighing over 5 pounds. The lantern is 6& 1/2 inches wide and 4& 1/2 inches deep. The detachable kerosene burner is accessed by a side door. Which has a sliding lock and a ring handle. Vintage 1950's Cattle HORNS Maritime SHIP with SAILS and LAMP Combo
This auction is for a very unique old piece of history of a maritime ship and lamp combo made of cattle corn. After some research. I believe it is from the 1950's. It measures in total approximately 11" tall x 18" wide x 5 3/4" wide. The sails are made from horn pieces, the main part of the boat is made from one horn and it sits on another part horn. The main horn is a little loose and needs tightening as it wabbles a little. though am not sure how it can be done. The base of the lamp sits on a wooden base. On the back of the ship there is what you would call a"LAMP SHADE" which looks like it is made out of fibreglass and has stitching all the way around it. The stithing however has come off on certain parts of the shade and is missing. Behind the centre of the shade there is a light bulb base which is attached ... moreto the wooden base and the shade. I haave tested it and it works, however the base of the socket is loose at times. The shade on the back side has two Burn marks from where( the ever so old light bulb used to shine) and on the larger burn mark there is a tear on the shade. Of coarse the wiring is old also but no fraying. Just some paint marks. This item is being sold AS IS due to it's age. Aldis Lantern Handheld Nautical Maritime Ship Signal Light Lamp 4 Inch
For your consideration today is a beautiful example of a 4 inch. Handheld Aldis lantern used as a ships' signal light. Included. Is an old custom made oak box with a missing handle/strap, an extra blue lens and connecting cable with brass fittings. The extra lens does have a crack as shown in the photo. I did look for identifying marks, but none were found. What looks like a nameplate on the side and another on the bottom of the unit, is rubbed clean evidently from years of use. Although I don't have a power source to test this lamp. When I depress the switch, I get a good continuity reading on my ohmmeter, and when released, it shows none. This tells me that the cable, switch and lamp are still good. The signaling trigger appears to work, as when it is pulled, the mirror does pivot slightly up and down. The areoscope(telescopic sight) ... moreis clear and the sighting cross-hairs are crisp and visible. All-in-all, for its age, this wonderful piece of maritime history is in good condition. Fresh from an estate nautical collection is a RARE Antique Perko Brass Ship Lantern with brass tag that reads PERKO Manufacturer's Trademark Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Miami Florida USA" on the front and another Perko stamp on the back. Lantern originally sold at some point by Bourne's Hyannis Port Cape Cod Massachusetts. This brass navigation lamp is in excellent condition for its age. No breaks or cracks, some minor wear and scratches as to be expected on a Lamp this old, some soldering. The nautical lamp has a great brass case with glass panels, handle above the rounded chimney at the top, a reflector/mirror, kerosene well is removable for filling. This vintage ship lantern Height is about 14 1/2" high with the handle, 13" without the handle& is approx 8" x 6" wide. As seen in attached photos Up for auction is a authentic ship's lantern from Japan. White light made by the Sento Company LTD. The label carries several sets of numbers. 582 B899 32 12 Also. The glass itself is marked in white with"1796" Electrical fittings have been tested and work perfectly. Add a light bulb and use as a lamp. Or copper tubing could easily be removed. The electric fitting was a later addition and is secured through the bottom with three small screws. Piece measures 33cm(13" tall without the handle and 24 cm across the base.
