The bottom is 8” in diameter, the top is 7 ½” in diameter, the lens is 4 ¾” tall(the exposed portion) and the lens is approx 5” in diameter. The lens is a dark ruby red and I see no cracks or chips. The body is galvanized metal with the rings. Latching hardware and the top ring of bottom portion being made of brass. There is a makers mark on the inside but some is missing and I cannot tell by what I can read who the maker is. Do you know? I assume that it was battery operated but there is no battery or wiring that is visible. I did not take the top portion apart and do not know if there is a bulb inside. The one photo that shows the lens bright was held up to the sun. The lantern is in good overall condition with some oxidation and rust as shown. The rubber gasket and other rubber pieces are inside but in poor condition(see photos) Please look at the photos carefully to see what is included. The lantern/ lamp is untested. For your consideration and from a recent local Kansas City estate is this fabulous vintage solid brass Neptune ships cargo lamp. It measures 14 ½” tall x 9” x 6 ½” It is in excellent condition with a nice darker aged patina. There are no bends. Dents or damaged parts. It is fully functional and compete with original burner. Vintage Brass Wilcox Crittenden Conn Ship Boat Light Lantern Lamp Red & Green
I do not know how old this lantern is. I think that it is old enough to be considered vintage or possibly antique. The oval plate on the back of it reads. Wilcox, Crittenden& Co. Inc. Middletown, Conn. U.S.A. It appears to be brass. Most of the photos make the metal look redder than it actually is. The photos where the metal looks like it has a very slight greenish tint are closer to representing the actual color. I see where the close-up of the hole where the burner goes makes the edges look like maybe the metal is not brass. In real life. That is not the case. The edges look like brass. A magnet will not stick to any of the lantern and I believe that it is solid brass. I have provided a photo of the bottom being held up to a light to show how it might look when illuminated. Not including the ring at the top. It measures about 9 ½ ... moreinches high. The ring at the top adds about 1 3/4 inches. It weighs about 2 pounds 3.5 ounces. The divider is removable. The condition is much like you see it in the photos. The burner is missing. Otherwise. It is generally in excellent condition. The tarnish is a little uneven and there is a little green oxidation on the back that you can see in a photo. I have provided a close-up of a bend in the edge of the hole for the burner. I do not know if it should be there or not. A close-up shows a small shallow depression just below the seam on the chimney. I do not know if it was made that way or not. Otherwise, are no dents in the metal or breaks or cracks in the glass. The inside and a little of the outside of the glass could use some cleaning. It looks like there is some soot on the inside of the top part. There is a little of some kind of dark hard gunk on the bottom that you can see in the photo of the bottom. Otherwise, it is fine and as shown. My photos should give you a good idea of its general condition. I guarantee this lantern to be as described and represented by my photos. The fellow I acquired this from told me it was from an old Wood Chris Craft he owned back in the 1970s. He thought the lamp itself was from the 1950s. And he kept it in his office as a remembrance since selling the boat. The bracket for the gimbal mount has a wonderful Sea Serpent, and it all seems of a very good quality. The only name I see is on the wick adjustment knob which appears to read"Marmen" plus a couple other letters. The brass has areas of tarnish, the most to the top of the dome at the top(picture 6) I do not have the glass shade but that should be easily sourced. Up for auction is this antique large ship's lamp that was made by the Wilcox. Crittenden Company of Middleton, Conn. U.S.A. The lantern stands 17 1/2" high and is 9 3/4" in diameter. The lamp has a beautiful 360 degree grooved red globe that is in excellent condition after all these years showing on one very minor 1/4" flick. The burner insert is intact with no burner included. The rust on the cage and body of the lamp is all surface with no penetration inside the lamp. The red globe alone is worth the cost of the lamp. Weighs 15 1/2 lbs. before packaging. VERY RARE ANTIQUE JAPANESE NIPPON SENTO NAUTICAL SHIP BRASS LANTERN SIGNAL LAMP
For sale is an Antique Japanese Nippon Sento Co. Ltd. Ships Brass Oil Signal Lamp Lantern. This is a very rare lantern I have never seen another one like it listed on Ebay. The lamp is in excellent condition as evident by the photos. It has a very nice patina on the outside and looks great as is. Or can easily be polished for a brilliant shine. The lamp has a wooden handle, and on the left side of the lamp is a thumb toggle switch that opens and closes an aperture behind the lens that allows the light to have the appearance of turning on and off. I'm no expert, but I believe the lamp was designed for semaphore which is a method of using light to visually communicate with another ship, or from ship to shore, and vice a versa. The toggle switch works smoothly, and the door opens and closes freely. Please closely review all of the photos ... morefor the material condition of the lamp. The lamp has the original oil/kerosene pot, but it is missing the glass chimney and possibly a reflector that may have fit in the small rectangular slot at the end of the pot. A replacement glass chimney can be easily found online. The lantern measures approximately 20" inches from the top of the handle to the base, and it is approximately 10 1/2" inches wide. If you are a serious collector you do not want to miss the opportunity to own this lantern you may never see another one like it on Ebay. Back plate with rope and anchor is heavy and appears to be copper(magnet does not stick) Lamp Shades appear to be made from heavy tin like some of the old whale oil lamps(magnet does not stick) Surface is aged from natural weathering and shows authentic time honored oxidation and aged corrosion likely from salt in the ocean mist. Both lamps need new wiring. Vintage Copper Oil Lamp Possibly Brass? Weighted Ship Lamp?
Here we have a cool old copper oil lamp. I believe it's copper. As the bottom is turning that beautiful reddish tint. The portions above that, however, look like they could be brass, as they are aging differently. The lamp is approximately 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide. The only identifying marks are on the neck in tiny writing which says"patd oct 31 1875" I'm sure it's that old but I couldn't find another like it. The lamp does not have any dents or scratches to speak of. It was probably a ship lamp. As the base is weighted. The whole lamp is heavy for its size; I would say 5 or 6 pounds or so. If you know what this lamp is or anything about it. Please let me know, as I love learning about old stuff like this.

NAUTICAL RED EMERGENCY SHIP LANTERN COPPER AND BRASS TABLE LAMP
Thank you for viewing this auction for is one. 1) brass and copper ship lamp converted to a table lamp. This is an old oil lamp that I believe served as a emergency light due to the red lens it has which shine 360 degrees. There are two thick heavy glass lenses on this light. The clear lens is the amplifying lens, and the inside lens is for giving the light the red color. This light is constructed of primarily copper and brass. There are also some iron components to this light, this includes the lens protectors and the two hanging brackets. The hanging brackets are used to not only hang the light vertically, but also to stabilize it from moving left to right, and front to back. There is no lamp inside of this lantern, it does no light up internally. This ship lantern appears to have been converted a long time ago; I believe at the very earliest ... moreit was made into a table lamp in the 1940’s. This is an older piece and I am unsure of the age. I am also unsure of a maker for this lamp for there are no maker marks I have been able to identify. Telling from its construction. There is a good chance this lantern is from a 19 th century ship. The condition of this lamp is old. There are multiple dents on this lantern. And appears to have been used heavily. This lamp no longer has its original oil burner, it was most likely discarded when it was converted to a table lamp. The mounting clips are still in place for accepting an oil burner. The red lens and clear reflector are intact with no cracks. The lamp is built to flex, so it does move and flex; the structure of the lamp is still sound. The lamp does work, and lights. I would suggest changing the cord if it is still desired to use as a table lamp; the cord is older, and the plug is not polarized. The copper and brass does have extensive corrosion and staining on it. Also there are a lot of dings and dents throughout. Vtg Nautical Ship Engine Gauge Telegraph Lamp Baldwin Brockett Ship Chandlery This is an outstanding vintage table lamp with nautical fittings. It is made of wood and antique brass with a ship's engine throttle gauge also known as a telegraph. I believe the wood is mahogany. Very handsome. The shade is the original shade for this lamp; it is drum style and made of linen with authentic rope trim detail. These telegraphs were used on a ship's officer bridge where the officer on deck would transmit orders to the engine room to change the engine speed. Gauges of this type were used on U S Navy and other large ships in the early 1900's. It is marked Baldwin-Brockett. Ship Chandlery, Milford, Conn. This lamp is in great condition and made in the USA. The wood has nice grain and color. The antique brass has a soft patina. The ship gauge ... morelooks great too. The wood lever on the gauge moves well and the engine commands are completely legible on the face. The lamp works very well. It takes a 3-Way bulb so you can adjust the lighting to suit the need: accent to reading. The socket. Plug and cord are all in great condition. I think it may have been rewired and a new socket fitted as the socket has a True Value tag on it and the plug and cord are pliable and in tip top condition. This lamp looks to have been well taken care of- very gently used with no issues to report. It is ready to use wherever you please. The lamp measures 36 1/2" High including the 1 1/2" brass finial at the top. The engine gauge face measures a 7 1/2" Diameter. The underside base of the lamp is covered in green felt and has an 8 7/8" Diameter. The handle of the gauge extends 5" from the face. The gauge handle easily moves and can be adjusted to lie close to the lamp base or extended out if you like. The shade is 16 1/4" High has a 15 3/8" diameter. RARE Vintage 14 Inch Copper Brass Nautical Ship Lamp Lantern by Anchor Electric
Rare antique copper and brass ships lantern from the south Texas coast. Lantern is an ANCHOR brand made by W.T. GEORGE Co. Ltd. Sherlock Street, Birmingham 5. The main body measures 14 inches tall by 10 inches across. Has both an upper and lower arm to allow it to swing with the ships movement. It was electrified several with 16/3 wiring but it does not light up at this time. Pops a breaker so it it probably in the on/off switch built into the long electrical cord. Super conversation piece for that man cave.

Hi folks. I'm back after an absence to auction more incredible, authentic items from parents' collections. These are items they've kept in storage- they were collectors of anything and everything old, unusual or beautiful starting their collections back in the 1950s. The past year has had me busy researching, inventorying and cataloging their items. Now I have the dubious task of selling some. For starters, I am not an expert in anything. I have some knowledge of some things, but sometimes I'm not exactly sure of what I have so feel free to contact me to either correct me or educate me. I believe in the"auction" process, so the starting bids on all my items are fairly low to encourage bidding. Here we have an absolutely magnificent antique ship's lantern. Or to be more specific, a Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware ... moreCo. distress or signal lantern circa about 1915-1925. It is made of galvanized steel and brass- all galvanized steel except for a brass top and brass burner which were polished quite some time ago. The lantern shows old solder repairs. Has a little bit of surface rust here and there, but is otherwise really clean. The fitted burner seems to be very good condition. Is a Plume and Atwood and on the thumb wheel it reads"P&A Mfg Co, Waterbury. Conn. Made in U.S.A. Plume& Atwood made the burners for Perko and many other makers. This lantern has NOT been electrified. The clear globe is marked PERKINS 8 and while it has a little dust. It shows NO damage and is protected by 8 wire guards that are firmly in place(some have some surface rust) The base has two tie-down clips. Although he never used it. This had been hanging in my father's workshop many years ago and I just presumed it had been sold or lost until June when I discovered it had been packed away. The lantern measures about 14.5" tall without the loop standing up(about 16" tall with the loop up) Is about 9.5" wide looking down on it and measuring it wire guard to wire guard. The base measure

Antique PERKO Perkins Marine Lamp Boat Ship Lantern Hanging Light Red Lens
This is a great Perkins"PERKO" Marine lantern or bow light. The lantern is about 18" tall counting the handle. The lens is heavy red glass and can be seen from all sides(360 degrees) The lantern works off of oil or kerosene. The reservoir and wick are in tack and working. The Perkins metal tag is still in place(too dark to get into photo) There are some small nicks and I can see what looks like brass under the black paint. I believe the paint is original to the lantern. The lantern is heavy. Over 7 pounds. Lanterns like this were used on large ships as a warning light or bow light. This is a Vintage Perko Ships' Lantern lamp manufactured by the"Perko Perkins Marine Lamp& HDWE Corp. of Boston. Mass. It has a clear Fresnel glass lens that is in very good condition. It has a 4 position on/off switch which allows for either the top, bottom or both lights to be lit. They are in working condition. The shade features a very nice lighthouse and harbor scene. The shade does however show its age and is fragile. The wiring is working, but probably should be replaced for safety's sake. Please examine the photos carefully. We are offering a rare antique nautical lantern made by Eli Griffiths& Sons of Birmingham. England! This large all-weather lantern was likely made for maritime use in the late 19th or early 20th century and held a single large candle protected behind five removable panes of glass that each measure 3 1/2" x 8" It is an unusually large and durable design that is typical of use in industry. The lantern stands 13 1/2" in height(17 1/2" with the wooden handle raised) and 7 7/16" in diameter at the base. It weighs 4 lbs, 12 oz. The metal is copper in color but is magnetic and so most likely tin. The hinged lid with a lockable clasp opens and closes smoothly, and reveals the interior black paint to be in very good condition. The mount that holds the candle has a slit in the side that allows the excess wax to flow out, ... moreand the candle to be burned all the way down. Up for auction is AN ORIGINAL VERY OLD vintage solid galvanized metal nautical Ship Anchor Lantern. The classic anchor lamp used on sailing ships for hundreds of years. The anchor lamp is machined in pure heavy-gauge steel sheet. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. The tops to the main body and the vent top are both hinged. Thus the top swings open for access and ease of cleaning. This all metal(except the frilled vent top, which is galvanized copper) is galvanized and shows its age. THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION. The anchor lamp is named for its use. A 360o white light is required to be displayed at the highest point( the tallest mast) on all vessels at anchor or under way at night. For auction is an old oil lamp. Very unusual one, I think. I have not been able to figure out too much about it. It has some age though. The bottom is weighted, which I was thinking might indicate that it was to be used on a boat or ship. The only marking is on the knob and it has an R and V on each side of a anchor. I have had this a few years in my basement bar. But changing themes and it is time to let it go. I am not sure it is functional, but the way it is made I would expect that it might be. Antique ship nautical boat electric lamp light. Brass bronze coppper? Oakford
Up for auction to U.S. customers only is an old ship's light with Fresnel glass(no chips or cracks to glass) It stands 15 inches tall and the wire cage is 8 inches across. I am not sure if the primary metal is brass. Copper or bronze- or a combination-but a magnet doesn't stick to it. It is very heavy. It is made by Oakford. There is a light bulb socket inside but it probably isn't original and, without the cord plug, I can't test it. If it was originally electric powered, then the wire outlet on the side looks like it held a much larger power cord. The lid screws onto the top for access to the inside. I'm not sure how it was used on board the vessel- some other listings refer to it as a mast light, others describe it for use on dock pilings, others say it lit the passageways on the ship. If anyone knows for sure, let ... moreme know and I'll add it to the listing. Overall it seems in very good condition with a few relatively minor scratches to the lower finish and, of course, the green discoloration which some people call patina and want it left on the piece so I didn't try to clean up that section(new owner can do that) I don't know anything else about this item so please ask questions. Antique Nautical Ship Hanging Copper Lantern Porch Hall Light Fixture Lamp 15"
This is an antique nautical maritime copper lantern ceiling. Porch, or hallway light fixture. It was manufactured by the Metrolite Manufacturing Co. The only info I could find on this company was from the 1930s which is likely commensurate with the age and patina on this lantern fixture. It measures 15 inches long from ceiling canopy to base. The base diameter of the lantern is 6-1/4 inches. The interior"jelly jar" glass measures 4-3/4 inches long and 4-1/4 inches in diameter. The interior top portion of the glass is marked"Metrolite Copper Lantern No. 00" NOTE: The first number is illegible. Shipping: I will package this carefully for shipment. Vintage Industrial Age Light Spot Lamp Antique Marine Fixture Ship Military
This auction is for one vintage ship spot light. We bought this fixture from a local estate. It belonged to a man that served in the Navy as a dentist. This was part of a large lot of vintage dental equipment that we purchased. We were told that it was from one of the many military ships that he practiced on. The fixture does work. There is a separate bulb socket mounted on the plate that supports the round light diffuser that is not wired. But the bulb in the center of the diffuser works(see pictures) Cosmetically, there are scratches and plenty of wear. It was painted black at some point and that paint is flaking and there is surface rust present(see pictures) It has been in storage for quite a while and it needs to be cleaned. Up for your consideration is a very nice 1920's Antique Ship Lantern. This is a one of a kind item. Just turn the switch and watch it glow. It puts off a Beautiful fully adjustable Blue Glowing Light using a Vintage style 40w Edison light bulb with a full range Leviton dimmer switch. This awesome Antique ship lantern works perfectly and is in excellent vintage condition. The lantern was manufactured in the 1920's and is constructed of metal with brass hardware and a brass manufacturers name plate. The brass name plate does have some solder on the edges from when it was attached to the lantern during manufacturing. It reads ALFRED F. GENTON SYEN WORKS WASHINGTON ST. BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND. The globe is constructed of a heavy thick blue glass which looks black from the outside when the lantern is not lit. The globe is clean and has very ... morefew blemish's. This ship lantern lamp stands 17 1/2 inches tall with the handle up. The ring around the center measures 12 inches across. The base it's mounted to measures 8 inches across. This lantern features a nice Satin Black Finish. All new electrical which includes a new Vintage Style 40 watt Edison Light Bulb, a new Full Range Leviton Dimmer Switch, a new Vintage Style 7 Ft. Clothe covered twisted two wire electrical cord and a new vintage style plug end. All electrical connections are soldered and heat shrunk. The top of this lantern is hinged so the bulb is easy to change and you can use any bulb of your choice. This is a Vintage Perko marine theme lamp manufactured by the"Perko Perkins Marine Lamp& HDWE Corp. of Boston. Mass. Its base features a ship's wheel which is Possibly of the same metal as the rest of the base. The wheel spins freely in both directions and is not at all loose. The finial is an eagle with wings spread. This lamp is in working condition. The wiring is in working condition. The height up to the socket is about 13" the bottom base diameter is 6" and overall wheel diameter is 8" There is a heavy fitting in the base which appears to be metal. Up for your consideration are two beautiful Nautical Ship/ Boat. lamp, light, lens, Globes) They are Both* 5 3/8" Tall. And 4 1/2" wide at the tip of the inside curves. They each have 4 ribs. Then center bubble, then 4 ribs again. They are not a HALF circle. More like 1/3 Circle. seen in Pictures) They are both Colored glass through. No paint or baked on colored film) The Blue has a in the exact center. maker unknown) The Red has No markings that I can see. These are quite old. In good condition to be used again. The Chips are on the ends and small on the RED. The BLUE has a chip on 4 of the ribs. Both still will be Good and attractive in use. Weight of each is a little over one pound.
