Close inspection shows some spalling of glass on the Fresnel ribs near the upper mounting screws. Chrome has a nice shine; however, close inspection shows it is scratched and thin in places. This light housing was meant to be mounted directly to the hull so there is no base-plate. The keyed hole to receive the light socket is found on the bottom of one side. No light socket included. This would have been one of a set. One red, one green for the starboard and one deck mounted light for the clear light. Base is 5 1/2" x 10 1/8".

I believe that this is a Perko lantern but I am not 100% sure as I could not find any markings.The lantern is made of galvanized steel with a brass top and font.It measures 12" tall X 8" wide across the front with the glass measuring about 5" wide and 5" high and it even has the original mounting bracket which is never found. Extremely Rare Brass 1928-34 Dee-Wite Red/Blue Boat Bow Light Glass Lens
A very rare near impossible to find Dee-Wite bow light from between 1928 to 1934. In very good solid non-restored condition with no damage. Made to hold a flag pole. Glass lens are near perfect except a tiny nibble on the blue lens that you cant see in the pictures. I believe originally this was nickle plated but all the nickle plate has been rubbed off. A few traces can still be seen here and there. There is no wiring and this is just the brass housing with red and blue lens. Measures 7 1/8 inches long at the base and stands 3 3/4 inches tall. Antique PERKO Perkins Marine Lamp Boat Ship Lantern Hanging Light Red Lens
This is a great Perkins"PERKO" Marine lantern or bow light. The lantern is about 18" tall counting the handle. The lens is heavy red glass and can be seen from all sides(360 degrees) The lantern works off of oil or kerosene. The reservoir and wick are in tack and working. The Perkins metal tag is still in place(too dark to get into photo) There are some small nicks and I can see what looks like brass under the black paint. I believe the paint is original to the lantern. The lantern is heavy. Over 7 pounds. Lanterns like this were used on large ships as a warning light or bow light. Up for auction is this vintage dock lamp made by the B& B Engineering Corporation of Norwood. LA, U.S.A. The dock lamp is a model NL6601 that takes a normal 1" diameter 100 watt light bulb and has a chain pull on/off switch and wiring that comes out of the bottom. The light weight wiring needs additional length to hook up to an outlet. The 180 degree red grooved lens is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damaged whatsoever as seen in the photos. The lamp measures 9 1/2" in diameter by 13 1/2" high including the tripod base that has three holes to mount on either a dock or boat. The physical condition is very good and ready to be hooked up to the buyer's dock, boat, or anywhere lighting is needed outside. Weighs 10 lbs. before packaging. Unique clear lens Buoy Light with inner Red/Green sleeve and auto bulb switcher
This is the only one of this type that we have had. It features a plastic red/green inner lens(180 deg each) and has an automatic bulb switcher with four bulbs(all working) When a bulb blows the mechanism automatically rotates a fresh bulb to the top position. This unit also has the a light sensor so that the light will automatically come on at dusk. The red/green sleeve can be easily removed with two screws if you wish to simply have a clear lens light and likewise the sensor can be disconnected should you prefer a switched arrangement. The clear lens was manufactured by KOPP Glass of Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania and the buoy is approximately 23” tall and 12” wide at the widest point. The lens is 8 ¾” outside diameter x 7 ½” inside diameter x 7” high and features 7"ribs" above and below the main centre beveled band. The lens ... moreis smooth on the inside. The buoy light is ruggedly built from aluminum. Stainless steel, and bronze to handle the harsh marine environment. It should last a lifetime. The electronic switch unit is in like new condition. All tested and working. The clear lens has minor chips. Which is typical. The buoy will be securely boxed with sufficient foam etc. to ensure a safe delivery to a new home. Appears to have been designed to burn oil(see photos) History: In the early l960’s. I purchased this lantern from a marine salvage yard in San Francisco. I disassembled everything and had the metal parts dipped to remove decades of paint and crud. And then sprayed the metal parts with clear matte acrylic. The objective was to just clean it up; not to make it look new nor“restored” At that time we had a waterfront weekend place on Bethel Island. CA, in the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta area. Our dining table was placed before a window which overlooked Piper Slough. Where we moored our boat, and Frank’s Tract(lake) This lantern was hung above the table and centered in ... morethe window. During the wiring to accommodate 110/120V“shore power” I installed a small pull-chain switch at the bottom of the lantern. Here’s how it worked: If the adults were gathered round the table sippin. Dippin. And grinnin, we might prefer the red“mood light” only. If the kids were playing checkers. They would pull the chain to activate the down-light. There is ample space for a Par38 halogen floodlight. The beacon is lighted by three other internal lamp sockets illuminating the Fresnel lens. Hanging chain and canopy(as shown) included. I can see there is still a light bulb inside. Don't know if it works or not. This has a Red lens and needs to be cleaned up or not. Also has a wood handle, can't find any others that have that. Out of the handle is whats left of the wire cord. This has been around and shows wear and tear but is really cool looking. Its about 12" from handle to top and about 5" at its widest point. The lens is in great condition(in the picture it appears to be chipped, but it is just an area where the dirt was removed when touched) there are no chips or flaws. LL Rowe Bronze Ship Red Signal Light Symbol 190 Series Red FRESNEL LENS Works!
For your Bidding consideration is a L.L. ROWE nautical light with red fresnel lens. This is from the Series 190 group of Nautical lights used by the U.S. navy. I acquired it from a retiring Boat Motor Repair Service who had acquired it a number if years ago and was using it at night on his outdoor patio. It has a variety of markings embossed into the Bronze housing so see photos for numbers. It is 120 volt. 90 watt. It uses 6#15T7C lamps and is in great working condition. It has a heavy duty red fresnel lens with no cracks or chips. The cord, I don't believe, is not original as it would have originally been heavily wired for military use on a naval vessel in an outdoor environment but has been set up and is working. The cord has been spliced, most likely by the previous owner when setting it up for use. There is a small switch on one ... moreside for"On/ Off" When lit, the light is a cherry red color. The color in the photos is a bit muted but know it is a beautiful cherry red- much nicer than the photos reflect. I have spoken with the manufacturer and they said that this is an extremely high quality lamp- originally charged to the navy at circa $1200 per light. The light, due to the high quality of the Fresnel Lens, is visible 20-30 miles. When in use, the housing does heat up which is normal according to L.L. Rowe personnel due to the heat transfer from the lamps to the bronze housing. The light measures 9 1/2" tall x 6" wide at the base. It weighs 13 pounds pre-packed.
