this lot contains a Vintage Brass PERKO Marine Nautical ship RED pole Lantern Early 1900s. it has been modified to electric a long time ago. It was wired for ship use as it has a ground wire as well? it has a very thick red glass with a few chips& cracks from use& age. nothing that compromises it's usage or condition. it weighs 11 pounds& is 10" x 6" the light itself has been tested& works. it has not been cleaned or polished by us, although it looks like someone took scouring pad or steel wool to some areas, none of which has caused any permanent or bad damage, but you can see these areas in pictures. the one crack we found is only on the inside of glass& can only be seen when held up to light& spun til found. Very Rare Masthead Signal Lantern made by Perko from the early 1900s. This piece is in remarkable shape including a lens with no cracks. The Brass/Bronze casing has been painted black. But you can see the true color in the pictures. A great maritime treasure. The PERKO trademark was registered by Perkins Marine Lamp. Inc. in 1922. The casing is made of heavy cast brass or bronze. Made with what I think is an all brass canister wrapped with a galvanized cover. No rust! This was a very well made lantern and will last forever. Tested with nine volt battery and works! This listing is for a vintage Perkins PERKO Marine boat Kerosene Lamp. Finding one in better condition than this one will be a challenge. The lamp is made of Galvanized metal and has a Brass Top/Finial and the Kerosene lights hardware is made of Brass. The Dark Green and red lens are made of Glass and are chip and damage free. The design of this lamp is different than most others. The inside hardware is accessible from the bottom of the lamp only. It has ingenious spring loaded tabs of each side. If you want to pull out the hardware you simply squeeze the tabs and pull the hardware out. As you can see from the photo's the Brass hardware is in excellent condition and includes what is probably the original wick.I think this lamp has spent most of it's life indoors. The outside Galvanized Metal is also in excellent condition. Nothing ... moreis loose. All corners etc very tight construction. The top finial piece with hanging loop is made of Brass. I did not clean this. Left the original patina. I did however clean the Brass Perkins/ Perko identification tag because I could not read what it says. Unusual Antique "Perko" Maritime Bow OIL Lantern ~Starboard & Port Lenses
Vintage“Perko” Maritime Bow Marker Oil Lamp Port& Starboard There seams to have been some repair to secure the Lenses and a Copper divide has been welded in on front of lamp. The Main case is galvanized metal and the top is brass. The Body is in good condition. With a mounting bracket on back and a Perko" oval stamped brass logo plate. The Lenses are red and a green(Port& Starboard) and in Perfect condition The Oil Burner seems to be a working unit with a wick still in place. The bottom of the lamp has a pinch clip insert. Vintage Copper PERKO Nautical Ship Lantern Electrical Marine Light Gulf Oil
This 16 1/4" tall electric lantern with an all original patina and toggle switch is from the estate of Howard Craven. He was a ship captain for the Gulf Oil Company until he retired in the early 1950's. When he then took up painting ships with oil on canvas. His father was also a ship captain, so I'm not sure which one used this lantern. It is all copper than I can see. It would be beautiful polished up, but I chose to leave it as is for those of you that would prefer it in it's original condition. It has what looks like original inner parts, wires, etc. see pictures) I have not tested to see if it works. I prefer not to challenge things like this since I know nothing of how they work. Pat. 1890 Tarnished Brass Marine Oil Lamp Lantern Light, much rarer than Perko
Beautiful darkly tarnished 10" tall brass marine lantern with no stress cracks. See 360 degree images. Heavy glass globe is damage free and has 3/4" dimple cast in it as some sort of focusing device{see image with flame} Spring clips that retain the oil font have 1890 patent dates on them. Good working burner uniquely flips up for refilling. Bottom of font is dented and has a large solder repair on in but does not leak and rest correctly in lantern base. Beautiful display piece or rare design with a great patina. Quite heavy.

There are no dents at all guaranteed. The lantern stands 6' tall without the glass globe. Looks to have the original globe and is in good shape also. A great addition to any old maritime theme. I bought this for decoration some time ago and am now moving. It does not have a base. 10" tall with top ring included in measurement. 8" tall without top ring. It is 4" wide. It's dirty. Rare Vintage Perko Brass Ship Boat Large Tank Lantern
Super nice original Perko lantern that shows little use. The wick shows that it was used some. And the glass shield around the wick is cracked. Other than that this is an outstanding example of this lantern with the extra large tank. There are a couple of tiny dings but nothing noticeable. This has not been polished, and is in original untouched condition. There is a small Perko tag on one side but the engraving is light and will not show up for the camera. The lantern is 14" high not counting the top ring, and 7" diameter at the base of the tank. This is a lantern from my personal collection that I am selling off. This listing is for a large solid brass ship's lantern marked"PERKINS MARINE LAMP& HDWE CORP. It measures approximately 14-3/4" tall(excluding handle) and has a base diameter of 7-1/8" The lantern has been painted black over the brass which shows through in several places(see photos) The lantern is an estate find and we do not know if the paint is original. The high quality of the paint job prompts us to wonder. The glass globe has no cracks in it and the original tank plug is present. The glass is marked Perko 31-L-17A. The oil burner is missing. The lantern takes an oil burner with a 1-3/16 ID thread. There are some minor dings and dents in the lantern as well as a small split in the cap where it joins with the glass globe(see photos) There are no repairs and the split does not affect the integrity of the cap. PLEASE READ. I HAVE DESCRIBED THIS ITEM TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE. BUT I AM NOT AN EXPERT. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS PRIOR TO PURCHASE. Some people convert Perko oil lamps into electric lamps. But thanks to the picture on the box, I know that this was never an oil lamp. This was an actual electric lamp that was manufactured and sold by Perko, and it was intended to be used inside the home. It is hard to read, but it looks like 1972 is the postmark date on the box. I have had this Perko hanging electric lamp for over a year now. And in that time, I haven't been able to find out anything about it. I haven't even been able to find a picture of another one online. If it weren't for the original shipping box, I wouldn't know anything about it at all. This lamp has some minor straches. But no dings or dents that I can see. The ... moreglass appears to be crack and chip free. I'm not sure if the lamp currently works, but it would be best to have it serviced and/or re-wired regardless. It is about 21" long(not including the length of the chain) weights around 10-12 lbs and it is made of solid brass. The patina is natural; not fake.

Large 15" Tall Antique Ship Nautical Maritime LANTERN Light PERKO? Restore Parts
Offered for sale is this old antique Maritime Ship Lantern for restoration or parts. I do not know who the maker was but it has a strong resemblance to some of the Perko Lamps that I am seeing on Ebay. It stands just under 15" tall. 7 1/2" wide and 7" deep. The ribbed glass is in good overall condition showing no cracks but could use a good cleaning. The original kerosene burner and font is missing and the lamp has been converted to electricity, but it does need to be re-wired as the wiring is old. This is a great candidate for restoration or to be used as parts. The bottom panel is hinged but is missing the slide rod to keep it closed which should be an easy fix. It is a rather heavy lantern weighing just over 6 pounds.
