LARGE 25" GERMAN VINTAGE AHLEMANN & SCHLATTER SHIP LANTERN RARE
This is a clean and fully functional"Ahlemann& Schlatter" ships lantern. It measures approximately 25" from bottom handle to top handle. And approximately 12" in width. The length of the lantern body is 18" and the lantern weighs almost 11 lbs. This lantern is made out of galvanized steel and it is LARGE! The lantern pictured on the right is the average size lantern you typically see listed on ebay and is used in the photo, so you can see the difference in size. It is not included in this sale. This is ideal for the person who prefers a lantern that has a more industrial look. There is not another Ahlemann& Schlatter lantern like this on ebay RARE! If your prefer a polished look please check out my other lanterns listed on ebay. The kerosene portion of the lamp was removed. And the lantern has been converted ... moreto electric and comes with a two prong electrical cord with a switch. The lamp was originally configured as a hanging lantern, but is now configured as a table lantern. If you prefer a hanging lantern I can rewire it with a 18 foot cord and add a 15 foot chain to go with it for an additional $23.50. Fresnel Glass is free from chips, or cracks. Chimney style lid opens for ventilation and bulb exchange. Please closely review all of the photos for the material condition of the item. Check our feedback. It's been wired for electric but there if no really alterations from that alteration, I just has a single wire through the top. NO CRACKS, DENTS or RUST. This is just in great condition! 19 inches tall! I have not seen any of these with the milky glass. Only clear and red glass. These are referred to as"onion" due to the globe. vintage starboard/port maritime ship lantern set PERKO?
Purchased on ebay many years ago. Each lantern measures ~12.5 in tall(to top of ring) and ~8in across(at widest measurement) They are vintage and weathered. I am not sure of maker or age. But they look similar to Perko lanterns. The"Starboard" and"Port" wording are mostly gone, weathered away. Then lens of each is is good shape. The port lens, red, has someVERY minor superficial scratches in a small area, but no chips, cracks or other flaws that I can see. The starboard lens, green, has a few areas of"pits" but no obvious cracks or chips. The bottom pieces and burners of each are missing, as per the picture of one. Paypal only. Aldis Lantern Handheld Nautical Maritime Ship Signal Light Lamp 4 Inch
For your consideration today is a beautiful example of a 4 inch. Handheld Aldis lantern used as a ships' signal light. Included. Is an old custom made oak box with a missing handle/strap, an extra blue lens and connecting cable with brass fittings. The extra lens does have a crack as shown in the photo. I did look for identifying marks, but none were found. What looks like a nameplate on the side and another on the bottom of the unit, is rubbed clean evidently from years of use. Although I don't have a power source to test this lamp. When I depress the switch, I get a good continuity reading on my ohmmeter, and when released, it shows none. This tells me that the cable, switch and lamp are still good. The signaling trigger appears to work, as when it is pulled, the mirror does pivot slightly up and down. The areoscope(telescopic sight) ... moreis clear and the sighting cross-hairs are crisp and visible. All-in-all, for its age, this wonderful piece of maritime history is in good condition. Antique Universal Metal Spinning & Stamping Co Starboard Ship Lantern Blue Lens
Here is an antique ship's lantern made by Universal Metal Spinning and Stamping Co. New York. The manufacturer is stamped into the side of the lantern. Also. Markings on the top say"Starboard Classes II& III" The triangular shaped lantern has a hinged door, vented top, and a handle for carrying. I believe this is a brass lantern, but I am not certain. The metal is non magnetic. The lens is thick and'ridged' and is blue in color. There is no burner in the lantern. The lantern and lens are dirty, but I do not see any cracks in the lens, or any dents/dings in the lantern. Lantern measures about 10" tall(not including the handle) and is about 7 1/4" wide from corner to corner. In searching the internet, I have seen a very similar lantern set(both port and starboard) by the same manufacturer, sell on liveauctioneers.com, ... morefor $350. They are advertised as 19th century lanterns, but I have not found too much information regarding this company, or when they were in business. I can send any additional photos that you request. This is wired for electricity but I don't know if it is original wiring or was rewired or what. To be honest. I haven't plugged it in to test whether it works or not. Either. Because I am just a little scared to do so! I don't see why it wouldn't work but again, I am not 100% sure that it does. It stands a little over 14 in. tall and the base is almost 7 in. across. Miami Florida USA" on the front and another Perko stamp on the back. Lantern originally sold at some point by Bourne's Hyannis Port Cape Cod Massachusetts. This brass navigation lamp is in excellent condition for its age. No breaks or cracks, some minor wear and scratches as to be expected on a Lamp this old, some soldering. The nautical lamp has a great brass case with glass panels, handle above the rounded chimney at the top, a reflector/mirror, kerosene well is removable for filling. This BEAUTIFUL. Antique, ALL- BRASS SHIP'S LANTERN was designed and built by Sherwood. Ltd. of Birmingham, England. Though it is very old, it is ALL here. All parts are in working order. There are NO dents anywhere, all the glass is in perfect condition, all hinges and snap closures are in good working order. The only very slight condition issue that I can find is that the wick mechanism is tight and hard to turn, but it does turn. All the solders are in perfect condition- no broken solders. This is for one vintage– antique red glass lens for a boat light. Ship light, shore light or lantern. It is in the shape of half of a cylinder. The lens is in the shape of a Fresnel lighthouse style lens. It is red glass through and through. Not just red on the surfaces. It is 7 3/8 inches tall and 7 7/8 inches wide at it's widest. It has an inside diameter of 6 9/16 inches. It has a molded in rabbit or stepped edge for mounting in the lantern on the top and bottom. On the top edge it has"Corning Made in U.S.A. molded in the glass. The side edges have grind marks from making it flat there. There are some small chips on the edges. There are no cracks or repairs on it. It came from Duluth, Minnesota. Duluth is at the west end of Lake Superior and has a large ocean going ship harbor. Here's a great old Dietz marine lantern in excellent condition. See Condition. From my research I believe it's circa 1917-1918. It's a dark lantern. With a brass sheath that pulls up to protect the glass. The sheath has numerous cracks around it(as most do) and is difficult to push back down(thus, no photos of it) Size is 11 1/4" tall x about 6 3/4" across the bottom. Beautiful antique ship's lantern- Not a reproduction Made by Universal Metal Spinning and Stamping Co. New York. The manufacturer is stamped into the side of the lantern. Markings on the top say"Port Classes II& III" This is a triangular shaped lantern and has a hinged door. Vented top, and a handle for carrying. The lens is thick and'ridged' and is red in color. I do not see any chips or cracks and it seems to be plastered into place on the inside. There is no burner in the lantern but I see two slanted brackets on the bottom that probably held a base of some kind. There appears to be some wax in the bottom- not much. But someone had a candle in there at one tim-Measures about 10" tall(not including the handle) and is about 7 1/4" wide from corner to corner.
