Vintage Circa WW II Era Royal Navy Binnacle Oil or Kerosene Lamp Compass Light. The piece appears complete. It has wear, is dusty/dirty, lite rust a few tiny dings& some scratches. Overall it looks great for its age. Some burner parts look to be copper, brass arm that lifts,and I think reflector is zinc with the largest part being tin or steel. My best guess its tin. It measures about 6-1/4"s long about 5-1/2"s wide about 5-7/8th"s tall. This would be for sliding into a compass binnacle for lighting up the compass without illumintating the bridge. When we were researching this on the internet we found that the Royal Navy contracted to make these under a license with Alderson& Gyde, PLAYMIT and BEC.

Recent estate sale find looking for a new home. This lamp is in working condition and shows a great patina. All glass is intact. There are two dents noted and pictured in frames 6-7. One on top of"shoulder" and the other on top of lid. They only add to the great character of the piece. Lamp height is approximately 14 1/2 inches with a body about 7 inches square. Here's a Nice Vintage Wall Mounted Gimbal Ship's Oil Lamp with Sea Serpent offered at NO RESERVE! The fellow I acquired this from told me it was from an old Wood Chris Craft he owned back in the 1970s. He thought the lamp itself was from the 1950s. And he kept it in his office as a remembrance since selling the boat. The bracket for the gimbal mount has a wonderful Sea Serpent, and it all seems of a very good quality. The only name I see is on the wick adjustment knob which appears to read"Marmen" plus a couple other letters. The brass has areas of tarnish, the most to the top of the dome at the top(picture 6) I do not have the glass shade but that should be easily sourced. The wood has a few minor nicks and so forth, and the height of the wood is about 21" while with the lamp in place the overall height is approximately ... more24 and 1/2" I will disassemble this for shipping, which includes insurance and will be $15.00 in the lower 48, Thanks

Antique Brass Lantern Oil Pot Fuel Font - Early Nautical Fixed Globe Lamp Part
Here are the dimensions. The hole this pot fits is 2 1/2 inches across. The pot spans 3 1/4" across its base flange. Or outer edge. 2 inch height between top of threads and bottom of Sangster clips. Stands 2 1/4" overall. All brass. This pot has a crease in its bottom rolled edge, and one clip has been re-soldered a long time ago. The clip repair does not harm how the pot sits and both of these issues are visible in the pictures. The threads are 7/8ths across and suffer no damage. Springs are strong and pot will hold oil. Vintage Copper Oil Lamp Possibly Brass? Weighted Ship Lamp?
Here we have a cool old copper oil lamp. I believe it's copper. As the bottom is turning that beautiful reddish tint. The portions above that, however, look like they could be brass, as they are aging differently. The lamp is approximately 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide. The only identifying marks are on the neck in tiny writing which says"patd oct 31 1875" I'm sure it's that old but I couldn't find another like it. The lamp does not have any dents or scratches to speak of. It was probably a ship lamp. As the base is weighted. The whole lamp is heavy for its size; I would say 5 or 6 pounds or so. If you know what this lamp is or anything about it. Please let me know, as I love learning about old stuff like this.

This old gimbaled oil lam p came from yacht. Probably a sailboat. And. Made of b ronze. Is heavily weighted(the base weighs more than 1 1/2 lbs) I t was meant to fit into a bracket. Its weighted base keeping it upright. The ch imney glass is wavy. Shows two casting lines and is 3/16 inch thick at t he top. The wi c k adjuster is marked England made and has other figures. Among them a 4, which I cannot decipher. With c himney inst alled. Lamp stands 11 1/2 inch es; base measures 3 inches at its widest.

Vintage Brass Nautical / Train Light Oil Lantern / Lamp
Here is a brass oil lamp marked made in England as it the burner it looks to be in very good condition. It may be off of a ship or train. It has a bracket to mount it to a bulkhead or a wall that is with it. Just mount the bracket to the bulkhead or wall and the lamp just slides into the bracket so it can removed to refuel the light. You can also just remove the burner and tank to refuel the lamp.The lamp is approximately 12" tall by 4 3/4" deep by 6 5/8"wide. Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description. Antique 1893 Royal B and H Railroad Bronze Brass Oil Lamp Lantern 120 YRS OLD
Up for sale is an Antique Bronze Royal Lantern. It is also marked B& H on the fill cap. Which I assume is for the Railroad. There isn't a globe with this. Nor handles, but it does have several early 1890's Pat. No on the cap and around the rim. It is in good condition with some green corrosion around the bottom and small dents in the body. It has scratches and other usage marks. But I don't see any cracks or holes. The coil springs on the inside need to be reset when a new wick is put in place. It is empty and untested. For auction is an old oil lamp. Very unusual one, I think. I have not been able to figure out too much about it. It has some age though. The bottom is weighted, which I was thinking might indicate that it was to be used on a boat or ship. The only marking is on the knob and it has an R and V on each side of a anchor. I have had this a few years in my basement bar. But changing themes and it is time to let it go. I am not sure it is functional, but the way it is made I would expect that it might be.
