Here is a small only 6" tall old oil lamp. It is made in England and mounts in a ships cabin, it has the mounting bracket that swivels with the movement of the ocean. This little brass lamp is in very good condition with no dings or dents in it, just in need of a good polishing and a glass flute, oh! and a ship or a collector! Thank you for looking!

This Vintage Brass Gimbal Oil Cabin Lamp was manufactured by Sherwoods LTD. of Birmingham. England, in the early 1900′s. Sherwoods was one of the largest manufacturers of new lighting devices in England, producing oil lamps, lanterns, and burners. They went into business in 1902, but unfortunately went out of business in 1932. Cabin oil lamp with smoke Bell W/Bracket, Shade, wick, Gimbal mount and glass chimney. The lamp has a heavy weighted bottom. Lamp with Chimney is 16 1/4" Tall.This has been in my collection for 40 years.

THIS ANTIQUE MARITIME NAUTICAL SHIPS LANTERN IS IN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION. THIS OLD BEAUTY HAS THE ORIGINAL 2 SPOUT WHALE OIL BURNER AND PINCH POT FONT POT. THIS IS A RARE ONE AND HAS THE NAME JOSEPH J WALTON EMBOSSED OR RAISED IN THE GLOBE AND IF YOU DO AN INTERNET SEARCH ON GOOGLE THE NAME IS WELL KNOW FOR MAKING LIGHTHOUSE LANTERNS. THIS ONE IS SO COOL IT HAS A PART THAT RAISES AND LOWERS AROUND THE FONT POT IN CASE OF HIGH WINDS AND THIS IS THE FIRST ONE I HAVE EVER SEEN. THE LANTERN IS BRASS AND HAS THE ORNATE SMALL HOLE DESIGNS IN THE BASE AND THE SIDE OF THE TOP. IT HAS A BEAUTIFUL PATINA OR FINISH ON IT FROM AGE AND THERE IS MINOR DISCOLORATION ON THE BRASS. Antique Kerosene Lantern Clear Globe Embury Oil Lamp #210 Supreme Warsaw NY
Up for auction is this rusty but still cool antique Supreme#210 lamp by the Embury Manufacturing Company of Warsaw. New York. Marked on the base as shown. Lamp measures 13 inches tall without the handle and is 6 inches across at the base. As you can see from the pictures the metal portions of this lamp are well and truly rusted. However. I could find no holes or weak areas and the metal frame and base are still solid. The lamp still has a cloth wick but the adjustment knob is rusted into position. I did not attempt to fix it. The cap for the tank is also rusted but it does still unscrew and then screw back in securely. There is no gas or oil in the tank. Metal hand is secure and swings smoothly. The lanterns are in good shape for their age and the lanterns themselves stand about 9 inches tall. They do have some dents and dings towards the tops of the lanterns but the glass has no cracks and is in good shape. They do have alot of oxidation, minor on the outside and major on the inside. I was not going to clean them because I did not want to discolor them but they will hopefully clean up very nicely if cleaned properly.
