Here's a Nice Vintage Wall Mounted Gimbal Ship's Oil Lamp with Sea Serpent offered at NO RESERVE! The fellow I acquired this from told me it was from an old Wood Chris Craft he owned back in the 1970s. He thought the lamp itself was from the 1950s. And he kept it in his office as a remembrance since selling the boat. The bracket for the gimbal mount has a wonderful Sea Serpent, and it all seems of a very good quality. The only name I see is on the wick adjustment knob which appears to read"Marmen" plus a couple other letters. The brass has areas of tarnish, the most to the top of the dome at the top(picture 6) I do not have the glass shade but that should be easily sourced. The wood has a few minor nicks and so forth, and the height of the wood is about 21" while with the lamp in place the overall height is approximately ... more24 and 1/2" I will disassemble this for shipping, which includes insurance and will be $15.00 in the lower 48, Thanks

Vintage Copper Oil Lamp Possibly Brass? Weighted Ship Lamp?
Here we have a cool old copper oil lamp. I believe it's copper. As the bottom is turning that beautiful reddish tint. The portions above that, however, look like they could be brass, as they are aging differently. The lamp is approximately 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide. The only identifying marks are on the neck in tiny writing which says"patd oct 31 1875" I'm sure it's that old but I couldn't find another like it. The lamp does not have any dents or scratches to speak of. It was probably a ship lamp. As the base is weighted. The whole lamp is heavy for its size; I would say 5 or 6 pounds or so. If you know what this lamp is or anything about it. Please let me know, as I love learning about old stuff like this.

This auction is for 2 Vintage Seahorse Ship Lights. With no reserve. There are no burners in the lanterns, the auction includes what is shown. The lanterns show wear, have some paint drips, appear to have been repainted, have chips and scratches and can be seen in the eighteen(18) pictures below. I see no holes in the metal and they appear solid. The lanterns are 22" tall not including the handle and are 14" wide- left side corner to right side corner. The Port lantern is missing the"T" screw at the side bracket. The Starboard lantern has the"T" screw in the side bracket. The lenses have glare in my photos, I see no cracks or large scratches in the lenses. The lanterns will be shipped in separate boxes. vtg R V Anchor brass ship's table lamp nautical maritime oil lantern light HTF
For auction is an old oil lamp. Very unusual one, I think. I have not been able to figure out too much about it. It has some age though. The bottom is weighted, which I was thinking might indicate that it was to be used on a boat or ship. The only marking is on the knob and it has an R and V on each side of a anchor. I have had this a few years in my basement bar. But changing themes and it is time to let it go. I am not sure it is functional, but the way it is made I would expect that it might be. Possibly by Helvic(unmarked, but visually similar to items by this maker and unmistakably of the same vintage) The 9" by 5" by 5" lantern is crafted from a variety of metals. This is a vintage item and shows some light wear consistent with age and use. Including surface patination and a few flecks of paint(probably removable with a fingernail) The base is slightly- almost un-noticeably- warped. The interior shows some rust from steel parts. Gimbaled to balance on a ship, is in great antique condition with some patina. It stands approximately 3 ¾” high and is approximately 9” to the end of the horn. The hallmark appears on the gimbaled portion of the handle. It takes a 3/16” round wick(not included) The base of the lamp appears to be brass, the flame cap copper and we are unsure of the metal in the wick holder. The glass is melon shaped and very heavy. The burner says P& A MFG Waterbury Conn. It opens up as shown in pictures. Has a little screw that probably held in a shade. Great piece. TERMS: Payment is due within 3 days from end of Auction. Up for bid is a vintage bow marker light fixture complete with oil burner made by Kilborn-Sauer Co. Out of Fairfield, Connecticut. The body is galvanized and top is brass. The top has written on it KILBORN-SAUER CO FAIRFIELD CONN U.S.A. The body is in good condition. Near the top rear the lip has small tear. The brass top has a small crack where it attaches to the galvanized metal. No cracks visible in glass but both pieces have several chips on the external ribs. The burner looks to be in working order and the wick screws up and down. You can use kerosene or bottled lamp oil that is easy to find. The tank appears clean and dry( I have not added oil to it. A small flash lite was temporarily inserted to show the colors of the lens) The burner twists counter-clockwise out of the bottom for easy refill and wick replacement. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. Lamp is hand machined in pure heavy-gauge copper with brass trim. The outside of the bracket/holder for the lamp has an etched design and arm connecting lamp holder looks to be a mythical/old world dolphin or fish. It appears to all be brass because it is non-magnetic in the wall mount part. Sets out from the wall 8.5" Holder for lamp is 5" diameter at outer point Holder for lamp where the font would sit is 4" diameter Pair weighs 1lb 14oz unpacked One bracket has been repaired: the arm that comes out from the wall mount has been fitted with a plain brass piece.
