Large Anchor Brass Antique Nautical Maritime Boat Ship Oil Lantern Lamp 23" Tall
Anchor Ships Lantern(Not a Reproduction) This is a very large antique ships lantern marked as"Anchor" To the best of my knowledge it has all parts needed to burn oil. Please view pictures to augment my description. It is not electrified and it is NOT a reproduction. Lamp measures a stately 23" to top of handle. 18" tall without handle and at its widest a 10" diameter. With the exception of a dent in the brass at the base the lantern is in excellent condition. Lantern inner chimney has a couple of chips and a crack at the bottom where it sits in base. This can be easily replace but I beleive that this one is original so I will not replace. Awesome nautical historical item. I am not an expert on oil lanterns but will do my best to answer questions. This lamp came from an estate in lower Delaware near the beach. It may need to be cleaned or polished but I am selling it as is as some collectors like things in original condition and also. The lantern stands about 11" and 5 1/4" wide. On the back is a key hole notch for hanging. The wick is still intact and the turn knob works. The glass chimney is about 10 1/4" tall and the base is 2" wide. On the chimney is written cristal Prima. There are some spots of tarnish and a small scuff in the front. Otherwise, in good condition. Vintage Cast Brass Ship's Nautical Passageway Light - Rewired & Polished #6

You are bidding on the vintage cast brass Ship's nautical passageway ceiling light shown in the above photos. This light measure about 8 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. The base has three mount holes that are about 2 1/2 inches off the center of the light. The globe is glass and in good condition. The light weighs almost 5 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. This light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of ... more250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires exit from the new hole we drilled on the bottom of the light, and the original conduit holes have been plugged with copper caps. These lights were recovered from one of our many salvage operations. These lights will have some minor wear that may include bending to the cage ribs. While we have removed most of the original paint and polished the light, some buyer may want to do additional polishing work. The cage has one broken rib near the threaded ring on the bottom side. Not a big issue. But I just want to point it out. This can also be seen in the attached photos. This light can be used inside or outside. It will never rust! If you have questions. Vintage Bronze Tung Woo Hong Kong EK1390 PORT Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical
Vintage Tung Woo PORT Lantern I recovered this Tung Woo port-side lantern from a sunken pipe barge while working off the coast of Borneo in the South China Sea in 1971. From it’s configuration it appears to have always been an electric lantern. I used it with a small battery light for a little evening ambiance on the deck table. So no heat damage from using it with candles. From the number of mounting holes(see last photo) it had a long service use history before I salvaged it. My guess is early post WWII. It has a heavy clear glass lens with an internal removable curved glass red filter. It’s got dents. Dimples and a wonky corner, decades of stains from living outside but no gouges or deep scratches. I have a rare and unique and very cool looking Mid-Century all metal with glass globes. Nautical Ship Table Lamp. This lamp is made to look like a sailing ship with sails. It is constructed with metal and has three amber dimple globes. This lamp lights up and works perfectly. The lamp stands an incredible 40 inches tall and 24 inches wide. A brass"MASTHEAD" plaque surmounts the hood of this VINTAGE NAUTICAL LANTERN. It stands 14-1/2 inches tall. Not including handle. Features CURVED GLASS LENS and curved metal reflector plate, Sturdy brass mounting brackets on back- presumably for affixing to the mast of a sailing ship. Constructed of brass, glass, and brass plating over- judging from the tarnish- probably copper? This is most likely an older decorative reproduction. It's rendition is very faithful. And lantern is functional. The base unscrews to take a CANDLE- either one with a wide base, or a taper inserted into your own socket(no disrespect intended) OR. (2) Antique Cupronickel 12v Nautical Yacht Lighting Interior / exterior Art Deco
I have been collecting nautical antiques for over 30 years and have never run across lights like these before. These lights are 12 volt. And I was told that these were either exterior or interior Art Deco lights from an old Yacht, Large Houseboat or a Motor Sailer. These lights mount hanging down and require an old style"J" hook mounting, but I am sure that they can be rigged in other ways. The base is made(I believe) of Cupronickel as it is non-magnet conductive and solid(not plated brass or copper) It has developed some minor pits in areas that only add to the piece(see pictures) The globes are what really set this piece off. They are an Art Deco style made of a solid piece(no seam) and are blast frosted. I have never seen a globe so intricate for this style of application. Two of the pictures posted, I sat the globes on a 7 watt ... moresmall light to show the details of this design, really amazing pieces. I originally purchased these to put in my home with the other nautical stuff but have been forced to recently downsize. The following is detailed dimensions on this item. Base. 3" tall, 3 1/2" wide. Globes. 10 1/2" tall, 7 1/4" at its widest. Weight. These lights weigh 2 pounds each. Other info. The Plug. This goes into the external power source and is a Lathed Wood with a solid guide going through with 2 metal(brass/ copper) electrical contacts, SEE PICTURES. The Hanger. This looks to be copper with a metal cross bolt for support. The Light Socket. Is a brass/ copper receptacle with two spring loaded pins that match up to the bottom of a bulb. On the sides of the bulb receptacle are two slots cut into it for bulb alignment with the alignment pins on the base of the bulb. If you have ever seen the old style 1157 automotive tail light bulbs it looks like the 1157 would fit right in. The Wiring. This wiring is the really old style cloth material type insulation and would have to be replaced if you plan on lighting these up, unless you update these and replace them with more current hardwa

This auction is for a 1910 National Marine Lamp Company ship navigation lamp. It is all original with only a few nick in the original glass. There are a few small dings in the lamp just from every day use over the last 103 years. The brass plate on the back of the lamp clearly stamped" National Marine Lamp Company New York" The hanging ring has some surface rust on it. Measuring 22" tall(not including handle) width of about 11" The piece is painted but as far as I can tell the most or possibly the entirety of the piece is made of copper. The lantern is a forward facing type with mounting rings on each side, an access door on the back an a top hatch that looks down into from the chimney above. Inside the back hatch, the burner assembly is on a track and is removable. It appears to be an oil/kerosene burner with a large reflector. The glass globe appears to be intact. There are three attached metal labels or tags on the front. I will try to decipher them for you, due to age and paint there are partially legible. It weighs a little over 12 pounds. I'm not sure if it's copper or brass. It's also very LARGE. It measures about 13 1/2" tall, 13 3/4" wide and is approximately 9 1/2" deep from each corner to the back. It was a originally a kerosene or oil ship's lantern. It's an amazing light! It's in excellent working condition, it's been newly re-wired& has an antique switch in the front(converted to electric) The switch is turned to right each time you want to turn it off or no. It has a removable red port glass(see photos of it turned on, with and without the red glass) The clear glass has a small 1/2" chip in one of the ... moreribbed sections; it's a very heavy thick glass so this does not compromise anything. Near the top of the lamp there's an emblem that has the numbers"3883" There is also some etching on both the clear and red glass. I wonder if this belonged to a military ship. As most items on those ships were marked with serial#s etc. The writing on each glass piece says"DHJE 3883, No. 654, E.31.5.61" It's not very noticable and you can't see it unless you really look; it's not seen when the light is on. This 8 inch tall lamp has a 3 1/2 inch tall RED glass bezile lense, There are only a couple of specs on the glass that appears to be in very good condition NO CRACKS. The base is 6 inches across and the light is very heavy duty. Not sure if it is military as it appears to be somewhat grey in coloring. There is a number 9-S 4473-L in raised lettering on top. There is a 64 inch heavy duty cord with some type of plug in socket end see photo 5. Not sure if from a ship, dock or pier. Not sure if it works or what type of power supply it used. Antique Copper Wrought Iron Nautical Garden Dolphin Lamp Brackets Arts + Crafts
Fabulous pair of pretty large cast iron brackets designed as lantern brackets. They could also be used to support a window box. They feature the detailed profile of a seahorse. The bases(the verticals that attach to a wall) are a narrow shield-like shape with a hint of fleur de lys on the bottom. Very fanciful. I think this piece is copper. As a magnet does not adhere and there is a little bit of shine coming through the painted finish. The seahorses are cast iron. The top hanging bar could be hand wrought iron. A magnet adheres to both of these pieces. The hanging bar is quite linear with an end that holds a lantern. I think it's hollow, permitting electrical wire to be threaded through. The shape of the top piece and the copper base suggest to me the arts and crafts movement. The wiring is very old, so I wouldn't be surprised if ... morethese are from the 20's or30's. But I am just guessing. When we acquired these we were told that they were from the first New York World's Fair. I have done some research and have not found any images that confirm this. They were from an estate in Queens NY of two men. One of whom was a set designer for the earliest Today Shows and Capt. Kangaroo. The partner was a model ship builder. They had a fantastic eclectic collection of decorative collectibles. If indeed these were from the World's Fair, I wouldn't be surprised if these men made sure they got some"trinkets" when buildings were taken down. Nice and sturdy. The seahorses and the top piece have superficial rust. They dirty the hands when handled. The silvery finish which could be original is uneven. They definitely need refinishing. If the buyer wants to use these as part of a lantern. They need to be wired. Please see another pair of these that I am selling on ebay that has remnants of the electrical pieces. This is a Carlisle and Finch Brass Search Light. I contacted C&F. And received the following information: Manufacturing date July 3.1957, 10" light, 16" overall from the bottom of base to centerline of the large wheel. The serial number was verified and the light is authentic and original. Light is in beautiful condition.
