This vintage Seahorse Anchor light lantern is salty and original. It is 23 1/2" tall with loop and is very rare. The patina is very nice and shows that this is the real deal. It was purchased from the estate of a northwestern salvage co. owner. The glass is excellent and very thick and heavy and the light weighs 16 lbs. I have had this lamp checked by experts and it is a very old and rare lamp. This is a collectors piece and not intended for use. The lamp is marked Not Under Command. Vintage Nautical Maritime Electric Ship Wheel Hanging Lantern Ceiling Light Fixture Lamp. Has 3 Lantern style lights hanging from the ship wheel. Made to be hard wired into the ceiling. All the wires are present. All the frosted glass shades are in great shape. There are some scratches on the ship wheel. But those can be touched up pretty easy if desired. One og the hanging lanterns is missing a twist on fastener for the top of one of the rods that goes from top to bottom. This does not effect the use. All in all this is a great nautical piece. This is such a wonderful piece; almost hate to part with it. It is marked underneath. Chase! Measures 8.5" tall and 4.5" across its base. No cracks or chips to glass. There is all over ware to the brass, but in my opinion that adds character and tells a story. As you can see by the pics, it works in both places. There is glass on all four sides behind the grates. One side is a door that opens via a little latch. This lantern measures about 15" tall by 6 3/4" by 6 3/4" with the handle up they measure 22 1/2" The brass has a beautiful, aged patina and the glass is free of any chips or cracks. The wick is still intact. They are in excellent condition with no dents or damage. A very nice and highly collectable pair of lanterns!

Up for auction is AN ORIGINAL VERY OLD vintage solid galvanized metal nautical Ship Anchor Lantern. The classic anchor lamp used on sailing ships for hundreds of years. The anchor lamp is machined in pure heavy-gauge steel sheet. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. The tops to the main body and the vent top are both hinged. Thus the top swings open for access and ease of cleaning. This all metal(except the frilled vent top, which is galvanized copper) is galvanized and shows its age. THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION. The anchor lamp is named for its use. A 360o white light is required to be displayed at the highest point( the tallest mast) on all vessels at anchor or under way at night. For auction is an old oil lamp. Very unusual one, I think. I have not been able to figure out too much about it. It has some age though. The bottom is weighted, which I was thinking might indicate that it was to be used on a boat or ship. The only marking is on the knob and it has an R and V on each side of a anchor. I have had this a few years in my basement bar. But changing themes and it is time to let it go. I am not sure it is functional, but the way it is made I would expect that it might be. I PURCHASED THIS MANY YEARS AGO AND IT HAD ABOUT 10 COATS OF BLACK PAINT ON IT. I TOOK IT TO A PROFESSIONAL AND HAD IT CLEANED AND IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL BRASS. THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO SO IT HAS DULLED OVER THE YEARS BUT WOULD CLEAN BEAUTIFUL AGAIN. IT IS IN REALLY NICE CONDITION. NO GLASS CRACKS OR CHIPS. SOMEONE DID DRILL A HOLE IN THE BOTTOM, I SUPPOSE TO TRY AND MAKE A LAMP. THERE ARE NO SCRATCHES OR DENTS AND HAS NOT BEEN WELDED OR ANY OTHER REPAIR MADE TO IT. Antique Likely 19th Century Maritime Ship Nautical Lantern Port & Starboard
This is a nice antique likely 19th century unusual maritime ship nautical lantern with port& starboard/ red& green glass that is separated by a protruding piece of metal. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with some decoration around the top and it does have some minor imperfections with the 2 worst being seen in the last couple of pics and it comes exactly as shown. Up for auction is a vintage boating warning light recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition. I am unable to test this to see if it is operational or not, but certainly could be made to work. This light has a tear drop shape and would be mounted in the bow to determine port or starboard sides. It is consistent with 1950-60's era boats. This light would be great for reuse or as a nautical decorative accessory. There is pitting and paint on the chrome surface, as seen in the photos. The lens appears to be plastic. It has a nice deco appearance. I cannot find any markings or numbers. This light measures approximately 3 7/8" x 6 1/4" x 3 14" in size. A nice maritime piece. This beautiful maritime"PORT" lantern is made of iron sheet metal with a RED lens. Never used. The lamp is finished in antique brass. Port is embossed on the top. The top opens for a better air draft when lit. The entire top opens but loosening the screw in the upper left corner. Inside is a fully functional oil burner with wick. There is a ring you pull on that allows the entire oil burner to be removed. Filled and adjusted. The lamp is designed to be mounted in the corner with an attachment for easy wall removal. You are bidding on a unique and Rare signal light lamp this was brought into our consignment store and the owner told us it came off a ship that patrolled on the Great Lakes. It has been converted with a cord so you can use it for display. It is made by Norwood Noonan Co. out of Chicago. IL has L7 on the back and L2 underneath the globe measures approx 13" tall. 7" base& 8 1/4" across the backside does have a couple on small chips on the front as shown. the right side bolt is sheared off near the top. Could be replaced or fixed this is very heavy I do not know any more info on this light than what we where told by the customer. Please look at photos. Ask questions and know what you are bidding on.
