They both have been wired for electricity and don’t have their burners. Although their reflectors are present. They measure approximately 17” high to the top of the handle. And 7-1/4” wide. Antique PERKO lantern with a thick Ruby Red lens which has a tiny chip. The lantern measures approximately 10 1/2" high(not including the handle- 1 3/4" and 7" wide. It has little Christmas Tree vents at the top and at the posterior bottom. Hinged door opens to an interior ring. Interior burner is missing. The well known PERKO company has been making marine lanterns since the early 1900's in Brooklyn. NY. I have no idea how old this lantern is. With great patina one is basically grey and the other one red. The grey one has a blue glass with ridges and the red one has a red glass with ridges. No major dents. They weigh 2 lbs. each. Own a piece of US Naval History! General Simon B. Buckner(T-AP-123) 1945-1997. Previously USS Admiral E. W. Eberle(AP-123) and U.S. Army Transport General Simon B. Buckner USS Admiral E. W. Eberle. A 9,676-ton(light displacement) Admiral W. S. Benson-class transport built by the Maritime Commission to its P2-SE2-R1 design. Was commissioned in January 1945 with a largely Coast Guard crew. She departed San Francisco in March with troops and supplies for the Southwest Pacific, then moved to the Philippines where she embarked over 2,000 formerly interned civilians for repatriation to the United States. Bulpitt& Sons Solid Brass Nautical Maritime Ship Oil Lantern all original BULPITT& SONS BIRMINGHAM Is embossed on the chimney of the lantern. But barely legible due to a light stamp. The date is also stamped on the chimney but cannot be read. Fully functional. Heavy gauge brass with copper rivets lantern complete with all its original parts. Used aboard a ship as a bulkhead, cabin, wardroom lamp/ lantern. Bulpitt and Sons LTD is imprinted on both the chimney and Bulpitt on the oil tank. Manufactured by famed English maker. Bulpitt and Sons, Birmingham, England. This is an extraordinary and rare item in excellent condition. The lantern measures 16" at the tallest chimney point and 20" with the wooden handle extended. 8" wide at the back, 5" deep. Weighs amost 11 lbs. The back is flat and boasts a huge brass clip ... morewith copper rivets for sturdy mounting. The front is three-sided with glass windows which are all intact, with no cracks or chips. The original brass burner is also in excellent condition with a wick, not sure it is the original. The stamp on the burner clasp reads Bulpitt. A brass reflector wall is behind the burner. The burner looks as though never used and slides out easily through the glass door on the right. There is also a slide on the side of the door that moves to expose an opening without having to open the door. The chimney top opens and the entire top is hinged to flip back allowing access to the chimney. It even still has the solid brass knob on the front lower corner. There are a few small dents consistent with its age. But it does not detract from the overall beauty of this gorgeous piece of British seafaring history. This would make a great piece to add to any maritime nautical collection.

Lantern Measures 13 inches tall by 7 inches wide(approx) I believe it is Brass but it has been painted with nautical paint. There are paint specs on the glass, but it may be possible to clean them off. Condition– Good Cosmetic Condition for a Vintage Used Lantern- Paint spots as referred to above. We are offering a rare antique nautical lantern made by Eli Griffiths& Sons of Birmingham. England! This large all-weather lantern was likely made for maritime use in the late 19th or early 20th century and held a single large candle protected behind five removable panes of glass that each measure 3 1/2" x 8" It is an unusually large and durable design that is typical of use in industry. The lantern stands 13 1/2" in height(17 1/2" with the wooden handle raised) and 7 7/16" in diameter at the base. It weighs 4 lbs, 12 oz. The metal is copper in color but is magnetic and so most likely tin. The hinged lid with a lockable clasp opens and closes smoothly, and reveals the interior black paint to be in very good condition. I see no holes in the metal and they appear solid. The lanterns are 22" tall not including the handle and are 14" wide- left side corner to right side corner. The Port lantern is missing the"T" screw at the side bracket. The Starboard lantern has the"T" screw in the side bracket. It was wired for ship use as it has a ground wire as well? it has a very thick red glass with a few chips& cracks from use& age. nothing that compromises it's usage or condition. it weighs 11 pounds& is 10" x 6" the light itself has been tested& works. it has not been cleaned or polished by us, although it looks like someone took scouring pad or steel wool to some areas, none of which has caused any permanent or bad damage, but you can see these areas in pictures. the one crack we found is only on the inside of glass& can only be seen when held up to light& spun til found. Made with what I think is an all brass canister wrapped with a galvanized cover. No rust! This was a very well made lantern and will last forever. Tested with nine volt battery and works! Antique/Vtg Meteorite 3M Lamp/Lantern/Light Nautical Maritime Marine Ship Good vintage condition. Has been painted black. Original glass is in great condition with no chips or cracks. Top is missing lid/cover. No burner. Someone drilled a small hole in the bottom/back and also cut and bent a small section inside at the bottom in an effort to convert to electricity(see last 2 pics) 19.5" tall not including handles.
