This is wired for electricity but I don't know if it is original wiring or was rewired or what. To be honest. I haven't plugged it in to test whether it works or not. Either. Antique Peter Gray Maritime Nautical Red Globe Anchor Lantern Light Great Lakes?
Just out of a local house is this antique Maritime Ships lamp. It was made by Peter Gray around 1890 or perhaps earlier. The lantern is galvanized with old red paint. It has a Fresnel glass globe that is clear on the outside and cased with a layer or red glass on the inside. I have seen these listed in our lantern books listed as Great Lakes lights. Navy Lanterns, Stern, or Anchor lights. This light measures about 19 3/4 inches tall. 7 inches across the base, and about 7 1/2 inches at its widest. It is in good condition but has some oxidation, some damage where the bottom of the cage meets the base, and the lens has a chip. See photos. The font has an unusual burner marked Gray Boston. Up for sale is a Vintage Antique Tung Woo Stern Nautical Maritime Ship Lantern Light. I'm not sure if this is copper or brass or its age. It looks like copper. Lantern is marked"Tung Wood, Hong Kong, Stern" It measures approximately 8 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide. Cosmetically, it's in vintage condition(shows some wear, minor dings etc. It could use a good cleaning! There are no chips or cracks in the glass. The lantern has not been tested. The first thing we did was to remove all the paint and give the light a very nice polish job. From there we fitted all the original conduit holes with a threaded plug and drilled a new hole on the top of the light so the new wiring con exit the light and be completely hidden. We also added that cool looking copper deflector cover to improve the looks of the light when mounted to the ... moreceiling. All the old wiring was removed and all new wiring and a new bulb holder made by Westinghouse Electric has been installed. The wiring and bulb holder is UL-Listed and rated to work with any voltage under 250 volts. The new bulb holder takes a common screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less. When mounted to the ceiling. This light will extend down about 8 inches. To access the bulb area, you just spin off the cage, and then spin off the undamaged glass globe. The base of the light is about 4 1/2 inches wide and the two mount hole lugs are 5 inches on center of each other. This light weighs right at 6 pounds. Vintage Boat Nautical Bow Light Glass Lenses Original Finish
This listing is for one bow light with green and red glass lenses in excellent original condition. To show how the light would look lit up. I took out the original bulb assembly and placed the housing over a Christmas bulb(not included. The original light bulb is a Mazda 6-8 volt. The socket is in working condition, just insert the two wires into the holes and tighten the set screws. The chrome finish is shiny with a few light scratches and overall looks new. The screws that hold the glass in are all original and all there. The original stainless steel mounting screws, washers and nuts are included. The glass says K S 900. It measures 6" front to back, 3 1/2" tall and 4" wide at the base. I do not know what kind of boat this came from, possibly Chris Craft? For reasons of design and hull construction. These large yachts rarely used portholes and were the first to build glass prisms into their teak covered decks. These prisms, fitted with rubber into the deck, guided the light into the below deck cabins and dispersed it cleverly in all directions. This light measure about 28 inches tall and weighs about 12 pounds. The wide end with the glass measures 13 1/2 inches wide with the glass being right at 12 inches wide. The top mounting pipe we have installed is 8 inches long. The connecting pipe and ceiling mount we have added to this light are iron. And painted with a color that is very close to a brass look. The connecting pipe is common 1/2 threaded pipe you buy at most hardware stores, so you can change the distance between the ceiling and the light by changing the pipe. The ceiling mount is 3 inches wide with four mount holes. This light has been re-wired with all new UL-Listed parts made by Westinghouse ... moreElectric. Our newly installed lighting hardware is rated for any voltage under 250 volts, so normal house power is not an issue. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb with a wattage of less than 150 watts. Since the inside housing has very little space restrictions, you can even use the newer compact fluorescent bulbs, or a spot light with a common screw in base. Our wiring exits the center hole of the ceiling mount and we provide about 12 inches of extra wiring. The 6 wing nuts that hold the glass and brass ring on the bottom side all work freely, and we have installed new glass. The original conduit hole has been closed using a copper cap. Great industrial style Nautical light with a beautiful patina. Old gray ship paint was removed with chemical stripper. Rather than sand blasting and exposing a new shiny brass surface. Rubber gaskets replaced the originals but may need to be replaced with more heat resistant ones. Overall it measures approx. 9 1/2" long. New 14 gauge wire is connected to the socket. Antique Warner-Patterson Company Nautical Search Light
This Antique Warner-Patterson Nautical Search Light is in very good condition. The large hinge that opens and closes the lens cover works fine. This search light and lens is in original condition. It has not been re-finished and retains it's original patina. It is safe to assume that it was in water a lot. Warner-Patterson made this thick glass lens in 1916 when it was first produced. I estimate it's age including the metal cover to be 1916 through the 1920s. It does not contain the original light. Which was replaced by a more modern red light bulb. The wiring from the light bulb to plug looks like it is from the 1950s era from the shape of the plug. The metal is attracted to a magnet. After it is plugged in you can open the cover and turn the light on if you like. Do not close the lens cover too tightly or it will be difficult to ... moreopen again. VINTAGE Metal BRASS Nautical SHIP Light 4 sided glass 13" PORT/Starboard NR!!
This is a very unique Maritime item. It's brass light with 4 sided glass. They had filaments of green and red. Port and Starboard are on the light. As you can see the colors had brittle. An antique nautical light acquired at an industrial salvage auction. There is no identifying information and I don't know what type of metal this is. It is covered with green verdigris except for the bottom edge which has been painted white. There is just a tiny bit of surface rust. Hardly worth mentioning, here and there, except for the cage which is completely rusted and broken. There is a porcelain bulb receptacle and the lens/shade is beautiful and made of thick ridged glass. It is about 7-1/2" high, with an opening inside diameter of 3-1/4" and a base diameter of about 5" It is very dirty but I am not doing any clean up as I don't want to disturb the patina or destroy the cage any further. Vintage PERKO Nautical Navigation Light w/ selector. Displays red. Green or white lamps. Operational. 7 1/4" dia. and 5 1/2" h. Glass dome is 2 7/8" dia. and 3" h.approx. Requires(2) D batteries. Not included. For use on a small boat. Made of tin(I believe) it appears similar to a film canister. The metal body has mostly minor surface rust with a small hole on the underside. The aged, dark patina is a little rough. There is an"on-off" toggle switch located on the side. The glass dome reads"PERKO" and is clear, clean and in good shape, except for two very small, almost un-noticeable chips close together on the edge where it screws onto the base. The wired controller has three buttons, labeled Red, Green and White for selecting the lights individually, or all of the three other lamps at once, for maximum ... morebrightness. One lamp is always lit. The four bulbs appear to be original and have lost some of their colored tinting. Only one of the four sockets does not seem to work. Also, I have improvised a small flat piece of metal where the battery holder has corroded to provide a completed circuit so that the lamps will light up.

Mahlenberg at the end of world war two. It would have been replaced by a peacetime(non hooded) light. The vessel was bombed off Naples in 1944 repaired and sold private in 1947 She was wrecked and burnt in 1966 The wartime light was hooded to allow other ships to follow her but not allow aircraft to see the light. This ship was actually shot at and bombed by the axis forces during world war two. Real history here. She was named after the first speaker of the house in the U.S. This light appears to be bronze. But it is not. It is a ... moreferrous metal. It appears that the non ferrous top is not original. The light is rewired for 115 volts and may be plugged in and lit. This is the real deal and it was used. Someone at some point of time made it electrical light. The glass has a few chips in the extremely thick glass. There is a couple small dents. But you can't hardly tell with the colors of the lantern. This lantern is unmarked. It is very solid and well made. The lantern measures approximately 21"x11" With the handle up it is about 23.5" in height. It weighs a heavy 17lbs 12oz. We assume since this is from the sea and very old that it is made of brass. ✭" RARE OOK VINTAGE 1930s-40s Perko Nautical YACHT Masthead SHIP LIGHT"
Hi. This measures 15"in. TALL× 10"in. WIDE. This is made out of either bronze or copper. It has a placard on the bottom with a inscription reading: Presented to C.O.R. Y.C. by JACK& RUTH CARSTARPHEN. I don't know who they are, or what that stands for, I don't know much about this, it was purchased at a flea market by my mother 10-15yrs ago. There is NO working light fixture, you will have to Install one. It is made by PERKO. It is in excellent used condition. Thankyou

Vintage Brass Ship Dock Light Oceanic Nautical Ship Hallway Light
Up for bid is a vintage solid brass ship/dock light made by Oceanic. This includes a solid brass electric box. Both are thick solid brass. The unit is 12" long and weighs nearly 8 lbs. I believe this was not used because there are no holes drilled in the electric box for the wires. This is fresh out of storage. Rare Vintage NY & NJ Port Authority Red Lamp Light Beacon Nautical Airports
For auction is a rare Light/Lamp/Beacon. From the New York and New Jersey Port Authority. It's used but in great shape and DOES WORK! I tested it with a 6 volt battery, but its probably designed for a 9 or 12. I'm not sure what this was for exactly, but some kind of signal, possibly for a port, an airport, or one of the bridges/tunnels. It's all steel, and has a glass globe on top with a red plastic insert. It measures 8 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide, and about 12 inches tall including the globe. It's made tough, weighing 8 pounds. It has a toggle switch on the top. It doesn't blink but does turn on steady. It's supposed to blink but there may be a wiring error or an issue with the relay. There is also some rust on the bottom of the battery box but no holes. These are obsolete and acquired legally.
