Offered for sale is a antique/ vintage Perko brass pie shaped marine lamp. The lamp stands about 12-1/2" tall and with the top ring is 14-1/2" tall. It is about 8" wide across the front. The top features a pierced"lighthouse" shaped vent. The glass is green. Ribbed and convex shaped. There are bars in front of the glass. The"door" to the interior has a bolt action slide. The interior still has the oil and wick original lighting mechanism. The front plate holding the door is bolted on. There is a Perko brass tag stating"Known the World Over" +"Perko" +"P.M.L.Co Bklyn, NY" This lamp was probably originally galvanized to prevent corrosion. This little rustic/primitive 1950s Hilco copper-washed metal(iron? nautical hurricane lamp with a mouth blown shade and swinging base. Is just charming! Made to be set on a flat surface, or hung on a wall, it features a clever"swinging" base that allows it to remain upright, no matter what angle the ship is in the water. Still has the original wick, and a working knob for raising or lowering it. Would be perfect as a part of a primitive vignette. The bottom reads: Hilco, Made in Hong Kong, British Empire. RARE Antique Merrill Nautical Instruments Binnacle Lamp Maritime
This is a rare Merrill Nautical instruments of New York binnacle lamp in remarkable condition. I have been unable to find any other lamps made by Merrill. However Robert Merrill was a famous maritime compass maker from New York State in the late 19th century and I believe this may have been made by his company. It features an ornate chimney on top and also ventilation holes on the bottom. There are two handles on the back and a plate with the makers name. The lamp has the original glass and what looks to be the original burner. The hinge on the burner door needs repair, but does lock and hold closed. The lamp is beautiful with a nice age worn patina. This Vintage Brass Marine Lantern is marked English Made on the wick adjuster. It measures 16 1/2 by 7 3/4 inches. It is hand crafted with rivets and solder. The work shows very good quality. It is in very good condtion with a couple of very small hard to find dents. The top and the globe unscrew to fill the tank. They are stuck with old fuel varnish and I do not intend to forcefully remove them. The wick moves up and down when the wheel is turned. The glass plates and globe are very good. Aldis Lantern Handheld Nautical Maritime Ship Signal Light Lamp 4 Inch
For your consideration today is a beautiful example of a 4 inch. Handheld Aldis lantern used as a ships' signal light. Included. Is an old custom made oak box with a missing handle/strap, an extra blue lens and connecting cable with brass fittings. The extra lens does have a crack as shown in the photo. I did look for identifying marks, but none were found. What looks like a nameplate on the side and another on the bottom of the unit, is rubbed clean evidently from years of use. Although I don't have a power source to test this lamp. When I depress the switch, I get a good continuity reading on my ohmmeter, and when released, it shows none. This tells me that the cable, switch and lamp are still good. The signaling trigger appears to work, as when it is pulled, the mirror does pivot slightly up and down. The areoscope(telescopic sight) ... moreis clear and the sighting cross-hairs are crisp and visible. All-in-all, for its age, this wonderful piece of maritime history is in good condition. Rare Vintage 1968 Nautical Ship Table Lamp. This Lamp is made of Solid Wood(appears to be walnut) It has an anchor attached to the front and uses Authentic Ship Hawser Anchor Rope. The shade is lined with real rope and depicts an art scene of a sailing vessel and a small row boat in the background. It is marked"Whaling bark- 1840" The lamp h as old fashioned green felt like surface protector pad on the bottom to protect the surface it is rested upon. This impressive well made lamp is of quality and craftsmanship you cannot find anymore. The lamp is in well preserved condition. Having little wear to the finish. I was really excited to find this old lamp at an estate sale. I have no way of determining just exactly how old this is. But based on the electrical switch, and wiring, I would say it is definately antique. I have never seen anything like this before. The anchor is hand carved out of wood, and the the fixture is attached to a cast iron holder. There is a letter"K" on the switch for the lamp. It measures 11 1/2" tall, 9" wide, and 7" deep. There is a wire hanger thru the hole on the top of the anchor, to hang it on the wall. The most incredible thing about this old lamp is.IT WORKS! The wire is cracked from age, and could be replaced, but I couldn't bring myself to change this lamp in any way. A great collector's item. This is one of the most creative spotlights I've seen to date. Normally you see spotlights on tripods. But I created something that is outside the box! The Spotlight is easy to move around or could be used as a table lamp. Or floor lamp. The spotlight measures 10" in diameter, 19" height. and 12" at the widest point of wooden base. The caster wheels are vintage. The wooden base is an old vintage chopping block, and the spotlight came off an old 1940's truck. Vintage twisted cloth(not rayon) lamp cord measures 6' long. With an on/off rotary switch with vintage plug. Spotlight has beautiful patina, and age that adds unique character. I am selling a unique working vintage brass nautical passage light with red glass. It measures 15" from the top of the brass hook to the bottom brass hook and 4 1/2" wide. It has a 15 ft cord and slightly shorter chain. The chain links are separated near the top- see photo and wrapped around the cord near the bottom- could be reattached with pliers. OLD Antique PORT SIDE Red Marine Nautical Maritime Lantern Lamp Inside bulb auth
This is an authentic original nautical/maritime portside glass lamp enclosure that many years ago was fashioned into a simply put. Fantastic lamp. There is a socket on the inside that illuminates the red glass and I must say that it looks incredible lit up. Obviously there is a socket at the top as well that will require the lamp shade of your choosing to complete the piece. I chose not to clean and scrub the piece so as to depict the age and authenticity more clearly. This is absolutely not a reproduction. I believe this starboard red lamp enclosure sat atop a piling somewhere in some waterway for who knows how many years. This lamp has been in storage for several decades and I am sad to have to part with it. This piece will make a stellar addition to any shore house or den or even office space. This lamp would make a great addition for any nautical decor room or restaurant. This lamp measures 21" tall up to the top of the light bulb socket. It measures 7 and 1/2" across at the bottom. The top light socket is in perfect working condition. It turns on and off perfectly. There is a smaller light bulb in the center of the glass. Great industrial style Nautical light with a beautiful patina. Old gray ship paint was removed with chemical stripper. Rather than sand blasting and exposing a new shiny brass surface. Heavy Old Nautical Wall Mounted Brass Kerosene Lamp
Very heavy– especially the base– old brass kerosene lamp. 8 ½” tall, 3 ½” across the base. It will stand alone, but is fitted with substantial pegs high on two sides that fit into angled slots of a wall-mounted bracket, and would presumably remain upright in an ocean swell. How far it would swing would of course depend on the height of the chimney. The wick is clean; the mechanism works smoothly; the dome at the top is signed with a‘T’ over‘M’ The surface has darkened fairly uniformly. Very good condition. There are a couple of dents, fortunately, given the dark color of the surface, not very visible. The more obvious one is a linear 1” dimple. No cracks, corrosion, scratches, or repair. The bracket is strong, and it’s fine. An item may be returned if it is substantially different from how I have described it. I will pay return ... morepostage. An original solid brass oil lantern made by BULPITT& SONS BIRMINGHAM 1940 Embossed on the chimney of the lantern. F ully functional. Heavy gauge brass lantern complete with all its original parts. Used aboard a ship as a bulkhead. Cabin/wardroom lamp. Stands 16" high. 20" high with the handle upright, 8 1/2" wide x 6" deep. The unit has a three sided glass face. With a right side access door. The burner is made to come out to fill. It also has a key that the wick can be put up or down without opening the door. The chimney also opens up the top section for cleaning or service. Vintage Estate Mid-Century 1950's Chrome Metal TV Nautical Maritime Ship Lamp. Really cool lamp from my gram's estate. Dates to the 1950's. During the days of televisions inside decorative cabinets that also served as an elegant piece of furnature. Sat on top of gramp's beloved American made Magnavox tube television long before the days of wall-mounted LCD's. Measures 12 1/2" tall x 11" long x 2 3/4" wide at widest point(base) Weighs almost 2 lbs. Lamp is in good working condition. Newer electrical wiring/cord. Uses a Christmas light bulb. Which unscrews from the back for replacement. Currently features a blue bulb. I have no idea how old the bulb might be or how much longer it will work before replacement. The chrome on the ship shows age- pitting and rust spots- which is why I am starting the bid at $9.99. ... moreSome of this tarnish may clean-up with either chrome cleaner or by using aluminum foil with a little water.
