I cannot find any others to compare it to on ebay and there are no markings on the light other than on the socket inside the lamp and on the side as shown are the letters P&O. I am not sure if this was a gas type light or not. Although it has a socket where a bulb or something would have fit but on the side of the light it looks like a flint or sparker. The light will need the chrome trim cleaned.Sorry I am not much help here, please see the pictures and maybe someone out there can tell me more. The works are mounted on a nice piece of oak and there are exposed wires etc on the back. It appears the glass is missing however the clip holder to hold the glass guard in is in the metal hood. The metal hood is hinged and has holes to let the heat escape. The light measures 11" long x 5" wide and weighs unpackaged 3-1/2 pounds.At the top of the light is a knob that can be turned to control the brightness i am guessing. I will combine items to save on shipping expenses, but please contact me for shipping rates as they vary depending on location, and the rates shown are only a ball park and apply only to Canada not including postal tax. Richards Estate Sale Perko Boat Signal This is an amazing piece from maritime history. This piece was made by Perko(Perkins) and has really withstood the test of time. Unlike many of these lanterns this one still has the original Perko lamp inside as shown in pictures. The sliding hatch mechanism still works on this piece. It was used as a display piece in the house and they had a screw in the base of the signal to hold the sliding hatch open. This is the most complete piece of this kind that we have seen on eBay and a great addition to all maritime collectors. Description: This is a large antique"birdcage" type oil lantern that was made between 1860 and 1890. It has a period Fresnel lens globe that is in good condition with a bit of chipping around the rim. But no cracks or structural damage. These brass lamps were re-produced by Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation but this one is an original 1800s light as shown by the beautifully decorated hanging ring at the top, careful handmade construction, etc. This one is also extra special in that it has the post fittings for use in a light house- it is missing the brass plate which would have marked it as such, but you can see where it used to be attached. These antique nautical lamps were used extensively for anchor lights, and after its life in a lighthouse it may have been used at the top of the mast during heavy fog or in the night to keep other ... moreships from running into the boat. It is missing the burner and bottom plate- it may have been wired for electric after the use of whale oil lamps declined, but please note that only what is in the pictures is included. This is a large nautical lantern measuring 14" tall and 6" wide. It is in"as found" condition with a dark patina on the brass, dirty glass, small dents, tiny cracks in the brass, and various other age/use related marks. I have up for sale a rare vintage original circa late 1800s to early 1900s Marine Division ARTISTIC BRASS& BRONZE WKS NY ship oil lamp lantern complete with original hanging bracket. The lamp is complete with the inside oil lamp with original chimney and reflector. The lamp stands approx 18-3/4" to the top handle and approx 16-1/2" to the top of the lamps upper section. It weighs approx 9 1/2 lbs and the bracket approx 3 lbs +. It is in Good as found original condition- normal general wear but no real issues. Some light surface rust that will clean off. This is a pretty amazing find. This ANTIQUE BRASS CANDLE LAMP HER MAJESTY’S ADMIRALTY SERVICE is believed to be from the early 1900’s or possibly even from the late 1800’s. There are plenty of pics to help you understand this item. The emblem soldered on the front says“ H M ADMIRALTY SERVICE. The bulbous bottom part unscrews to reveal a large spring. That is removed. A candle is inserted, and the spring& bottom are re-installed to continuously place upward pressure on the candle. That way, as the candle burns down it is continuously being pushed up. There is an old looking candle stub still in the top in the normal use position, we left it in place. You will notice a permanently attached bracket for hanging on a cabin wall or bulkhead on a ship. The candle lamp has a great old brass patina. You will notice solder at various places. Some ... moreappears to be from the original making of the lamp and a couple might be repairs or just sloppiness by the maker. None of the brass looks like it has been damaged. The lantern is in amazing shape for it’s age. The bottom is flat enough that the lantern can be used sitting on desk, table, or counter. There apparently was once a glass chimney but we never saw it. I would imagine the new owner could find one to fit if desired. We have never seen another one of these in 20 plus years of buying& marketing antiques& collectibles. This heavy and solid brass Masthead lantern is well suited for the boat house. Houseboat, lake house or beach condo. It would look great on the back deck or patio or the perfect complement to any nautical themed room. I found this at an Estate Sale and it was in pitiful shape. Covered in layers of dust and spilled paint and it was heavily tarnished. I have no idea how old it is but judging by the condition in which I found it, I would venture to guess that it is at least several decades old. I completely disassembled and spent over eight hours hand polishing it completely and thoroughly. Every nook and cranny. It is immaculate. I could hardly believe how well it turned out. I converted it to an electric lantern with a 12' cord with an inline switch. If you don't like the light bulb look you can easily remove the light socket and replace ... moreit with a candle or you can buy the lantern oil canister and wick and use it as an oil burning lamp. I think the electric is much cleaner. It is pictured illuminated with a 40W bulb. The silvered brass reflector really puts out the light, this would be best used with a dimmer switch or maybe even a 25W bulb. It is an impressive 14" tall without the handle and 6" wide. Heavy duty cast brass mounting hardware on the back. There are three very small pits in the finish in one small area. As seen in the close up picture. This listing is for a vintage brass gimbal lamp with milk glass shade. It's marked: Pascall Atkey& Son Cowes. The lamp measures 8.5" to the top of the socket. 5.25" across the shade ring, 3.75" across the bottom of the base, and about 10.75" to the top of the shade. The shade is 3.25" high, 5" across the bottom and 3.5" across the top. No cracks or chips in the glass. The lamp has been tested, and it does work. The switch is in the cord, and the lamp uses a Christmas tree size bulb. The brass needs polishing. Overall, very nice condition. The lamp is heavy, 5lbs before packing. Antique Nautical or Railroad Lamp
Antique Nautical or Railroad lamp it is rusty due to it's age but it is stone cold cool. Has a bolt on the back where it was mounted to a ship or railroad car and a clear 2' round window on one side and a 3 1/2' round red red glass window on the other side that opens. Weights about 3-5 pounds and is 9" high by 5/2' X 5" Probably over a hundred years old and it is gas. Very cool. Hate to see it go. NO RESERVE!

This is a small gimbal lamp. Smallest I've seen. With chimney on, 9 1/2 inches. From base to threads just 4" tall. centers 3 1/2 inches out from wall) Made by Perkins and marked PERCO on both the weighted lamp base and the wall mount. This lamp suffers no damage and comes with a Miller# 0 flange or set screw burner. Burner is marked(thumbwheel) E. MILLER CO. MADE IN U. S. A. Its chimney has a base size of 1 5/8" Stands 4 7/8 inches. And is marked" MACBETH 462 PEARL GLASS MADE IN USA" with a tiny"0" below that. You can feel a tiny rough spot on its base edge, but its not damage. Chimney is clean top and bottom. Has a nice patina presently or will polish nicely depending on your taste. This is a Green lensed Vintage Perko De-Lite Starboard kerosene Brass Nautical Light.Was manufactured in Brooklyn, N.Y. It includes the kerosene Lamp Light container, but is missing the interior reflector,and does have a 1/2 inch occlusion in the lense. The occlusion should be visible in the photo, it is within the glass and does not break the surface of either side of the lense. This is a rare antique bronze conversation piece. Works wonderfully. Eyes light. Bulb in bronze pipe lights. Lamp hangs on the wall. There is a bracket on the back for hanging. Large Vintage Copper& Brass Nautical Neptune Maritime Oil Lamp Lantern This large vintage Neptune nautical oil lamp is crafted of copper& brass. The outer housing is copper& the interior is lined in brass. With a brass lamp. The top is hinged& clasped with a chained hook. The lamp lifts out on two brass arms that extend to the top of the lamp. The interior lamp is complete& functioning. All glass is fine& the lamp displays very nicely. There is some slight age greening to the copper& one small dent on the back of the frame. Next to the window. It measures 14.5" tall excluding the handle& 18.5" tall including the handle by 9" wide, including the brass hanging brackets by 6" wide. Pair Large Solid Brass Marine Nautical Signal Lights Boat Lanterns Lamp
These are a great pair of Marine Nautical Lights. They are solid brass with heavy ribbed glass shades. They have been rewired and are in working condition. One of the lights has its original red insert so it can be used as a signal light. The 1st picture shows the lights with the red insert in one and a green light bulb in the second one if you wanted to use these that way. Or you can take out the red insert and have both lights clear as in the 2nd picture. Or put in any color bulb you choose. The lights are very heavy. The one with the insert is about 15 lbs and the other 13.5 lbs. These lanterns have handles that you can use to hang them or just for carrying. One of the lanterns has a little more copper tone to it then the other one and has 3 little feet to attach to a deck. The tops can be removed or slid to the side with the screws on ... morethe top to replace the lightbulbs. The globes are marked with a makers name. One of the shades has 2 small internal fissures at the bottom of the globe but they don't go all the way through the glass. There are a few dings and small indentations here and there typical of their age. See pictures) Other than that. They are in good condition and could use some cleaning. This old Beauty is 17 1/2 inches tall from bottom to top an 22 1/2 tall to the top of the hanging handle. It should be noted this IS AN OLD RELIC AND SOMEONE SHOULD NOT EXPECT PERFECTION. There is some staining the glass FRESNEL IS 8 INCHES ACROSS CLEAR GLASS AND 7 INCHES TALL AND IS MARKED CORNING. There is a crack in the FRESNEL photo 5 and some chips in the glass from years of use. You simply mount the round brass circle to the wall and slip the oil lantern into it. The lantern appears to be made of mostly brass with the exception of the reflector piece. Glass and the heat distributor in the top. There is no makers mark on the piece that I can ascertain. I think it was a Steampunk or Perko. How's about you expert's out there. What are your thoughts? Your identity will be kept anonymous. Thanks. The makers mark was probably on the bottom of the burner that is no longer with the lantern. A couple of the solder joints for the cage across the glass are no longer in place. The metal reflector plate is still in the lantern. Some corrosion to its' finish in places. Looks like the lantern was dropped at one time and the top bracket was bent in. The Lamps are Not a Exact Match but they are almost Identical in Size. Each Light measures 13" high x 11" wide x 10" deep approx. The Top Lid on Each Light is Solid Brass. The Body of Each Light is Heavy Steel Metal. On One of the Lights Brass Lid does Not Screw down all the Way. It is marked Staten Island. NY. They were purchased at an estate sale in Plymouth Ma, they have glass side panels which could be tinted different colors if one wanted to do so, The lanterns have snap locks on the front wire cage doors, The glass oil lamps inside are of a gold- amber color, The measurements are 11 inches tall, with the handles, they are 15 inches tall, The base of the lantern is 6 inches wide in the front and the back as well, They are 3 1/2 inches on each side where the glass is enclosed, The bidding is for the two lanterns as shown, There is no reserve on these lanterns, Thank you for looking,

HUGE Vintage Nautical Ship Lamp Light Removable Red Port Glass Brass or Copper?
International bidders MUST contact me prior to bidding for a shipping estimate! Up for sale is a HUGE Large Vintage Antique Nautical Ship Maritime Lantern Light. This light is heavy. It weighs a little over 12 pounds. I'm not sure if it's copper or brass. It's also very LARGE. It measures about 13 1/2" tall, 13 3/4" wide and is approximately 9 1/2" deep from each corner to the back. It was a originally a kerosene or oil ship's lantern. It's an amazing light! It's in excellent working condition, it's been newly re-wired& has an antique switch in the front(converted to electric) The switch is turned to right each time you want to turn it off or no. It has a removable red port glass(see photos of it turned on, with and without the red glass) The clear glass has a small 1/2" chip in one of the ... moreribbed sections; it's a very heavy thick glass so this does not compromise anything. Near the top of the lamp there's an emblem that has the numbers"3883" There is also some etching on both the clear and red glass. I wonder if this belonged to a military ship. As most items on those ships were marked with serial#s etc. The writing on each glass piece says"DHJE 3883, No. 654, E.31.5.61" It's not very noticable and you can't see it unless you really look; it's not seen when the light is on. Condition wise.it's vintage! There are a few dings& dents. Some areas of wear etc.but considering it was a ship light, it's going to have a weathered old look, which I personally prefer.
