These lamps are marked with the maker as William Porter's Sons. We would date these from 1850-1900. They are solidly constructed of thick gauge brass or bronze. Resistant to corrosion in a nautical environment, brazed or riveted at the joints. The thick. Undamaged glass is a Fresnel lens, which uses prisms of varying degrees to focus the light so that it can be seen for a great distance. The lamps include electrical fixtures and wiring. But would most likely need to be redone, a very easy task for any competent hobbyist or electrician. Iron mounting brackets are included. The boat light came off a old Crestliner boat, the cottage nautical lamp with the milk glass globe came out of a cottage on torch lake Michigan. The vertical piece came out of Torch Lake and the base was found on the shore line near Fort Morgan at the entrance of Mobile Bay. The two pcs of driftwood were cut in two, and that made it possible to make two lamps of the same style. The materials and design are all original work and the Base is 14" long x 10" wide x 17" high. Each lamp weighs 12 lbs. so they each are sturdy. They were made as a pair, but will sell them individually. In super condition is this 1960s All Wooden Table Lamp in a Nautical Maritime theme. The Lamp has a large anchor resting on its side against a big beer keg. The Beer Keg is made of wooden staves and metal hoops. It has a spigot in front. Near the Keg is a wooden Beer Stein wrapped in metal hoops. The Lamp is framed in real rope around the top and around the recessed base. The base is kidney shape and is thick solid wood. The“floor” of the base is grooved to represent a ship’s floor. The Lamp is all original and comes with its original neck. Harp, finial and cord set. The light switch is a 3-way light switch and works on all 3 levels. The Base has its original green felt surface protectors. The Lamp measures 29” high to the top of the harp; 13” high to the top of the upper rope, 11” wide and 10” deep. The Harp measures 9” high. Antique PERKO lantern. The screw-on cap looks to be brass and the rest of it appears to be galvanized. The red plastic lens has a piece broken off it in the upper corner. There is a bulb inside but the filament looks broken so it would have to be replaced when the wiring is fixed. There is a large dent in the back of the lamp. I think it could be pressed in an arbor press to look a lot better. There's some rust. Some dirt, some paint and that's how things go on ships. Vintage lantern would great in your collection. Antique "Viking" Ship Nautical Maritime Oil Lamp Kerosene Lantern
Vintage Viking Kerosene anchor light. Not sure of the age but not antique. I see other Viking brand lanterns listed as true antiques but I don't believe they are or that this one is. Everything works. It stands 15" tall. 6 1/2" deep and 6 1/2" wide. The glass is all in good condition. No dents, breaks or flaws that I can see. The material seems to be all brass except the rolled edges and corners are brass rolled over a steel rod. This lantern is dirty and needs cleaning but i will leave that up to the purchaser, I am selling as found. This will make a beautiful display or actually use it! However, there are two old solder repairs to the two burner spring clips, and at some point someone cut a crude hole in the bottom hinged cover plate for an electric wire. Glass lenses appear to be the originals and are in good condition with NO cracks or chips. Still in very nice overall condition, just needs cleaning and polishing-if desired. This is one of the most creative spotlights I've seen to date. Normally you see spotlights on tripods. But I created something that is outside the box! The Spotlight is easy to move around or could be used as a table lamp. Or floor lamp. The spotlight measures 10" in diameter, 19" height. and 12" at the widest point of wooden base. The caster wheels are vintage. The wooden base is an old vintage chopping block, and the spotlight came off an old 1940's truck. Vintage twisted cloth(not rayon) lamp cord measures 6' long. With an on/off rotary switch with vintage plug. Spotlight has beautiful patina, and age that adds unique character. For sale is this early lamp. It looks like a ships lamp. But most were made of brass or copper. This one is tin or and steel. It has a convex lens that shines a spotlight beam. Antique Wooden Nautical TV Lamp Night Light Lighthouse Ash Tray Oriental Flair
This is a VERY COOL old lamp. It was found at a local estate sale in which the family had no desire to go through the decades and decades of possessions. The family opened the house to customers who were allowed to dig through the house as it sat. We found this in the back of a crawl space attic in a very old box. This is made of a stunning wood with a rich golden tone& a tight. Dark grain. It measures 10 3/4" long, 10 1/2" tall and 3 1/4" wide. It is a lighthouse with aluminum ashtray. The lighthouse is a light. The screws on this item are flat head. knob on the side is an on/off switch. It has a strange electrical plug.Japanese maybe? The light socket is slightly bigger than ... morea standard night light. The only markings are a tag on the bottom of ashtray(see last pic) It is in very good condition. There is nothing wrong with the ashtray. The white mark is due to the camera flash. It does have some light wear to the finish on wood(near ashtray) We were unable to test it due to the unusual electrical cord. It is a very fun and unusual item. This auction is for a nice vintage Underwriters Laboratories Portable Lamp. Nautical. Ship, boat theme. Works well. Base casing is metal with a light green glass globe. The nautical emblems on the shade are made of felt I believe. Shade is in good condition with no holes or tears etc. There are some small marks on it but I am not sure what it would take to clean it. Works great. Has a green bulb in the globe that makes it light up with a green color. Very cool old lamp. Measures 18" with the shade on. Very good cord.
