Here is a beautiful. Nicely patinaed, oil lamp, made by Weem's& Platt. This lantern is numbered, early make, and came off a 68' Coranado sailboat that has sailed over seas and back many times. It's in excellent shape and can be polished if need be, however I don't suggest it. It comes with a gimbal mount for leveling the lamp while boating. It can also be mounted on the wall in your home and would look awesome! The lantern itself is selling for $200-250. The gimbal alone is $70-$90. Here it is, w/ a real cheap starting bid. Good luck!

This early lantern is about 8 ¼ in. high. 7 in. wide, and 4 3/4 in deep. The vent has a design similar to an early automobile style lights. A vintage burner is included. Vintage Brass Marine Lantern Nautical Cargo Light Lamp England
This Vintage Brass Marine Lantern is marked English Made on the wick adjuster. It measures 16 1/2 by 7 3/4 inches. It is hand crafted with rivets and solder. The work shows very good quality. It is in very good condtion with a couple of very small hard to find dents. The top and the globe unscrew to fill the tank. They are stuck with old fuel varnish and I do not intend to forcefully remove them. The wick moves up and down when the wheel is turned. The glass plates and globe are very good. Nautical style. Antique, brass sconces. These pieces are used and need to be rewired. Rewiring is simple and should take no longer that 10 minutes. One sconce is missing the threaded rod mounting hardware but one can be found at your local hardware store. The finish is fair and could be cleaned up easily with Brasso or left with its natural patina. The glass globes are in good shape and don't need replacing. I had the intention of putting one red and one green globe in these to mimic ships lanterns. With a little tlc these will make a great nautical theme. Posted with

THE BRASS HAS A GREAT PATINA AND THERE ARE NO CRACKS IN THE GLASS. ALL I CAN SAY IS THIS LAMP HAS A LOT OF CHARACTER AND WOULD MAKE A GREAT DECORATOR PIECE FOR A NAUTICAL- RAILROAD OR JUST IN AN OLD COUNTRY DECOR. Antique nautical marine lantern brass fresnel lens lamp
Up for bids is a wonderful old lamp from a local estate. It stands about 10 1/4" tall not including the ring on top. It measures about 5 1/2" wide. The lamp was electrified at some pint long ago. The original burner was removed and a porcelain socket was installed in its place. The cord. Switch and plug are all in good shape. The socket takes a standard base light bulb. It comes with a mounting bracket attached to a pine board. The board measures about 10 5/8"x 6" The board is varnished and has nicely chamfered edges. The bracket does not look original to the lantern, but does a good job and holds the lantern snugly in place. I have used this lamp on a table as well as on the wall. It makes a great accent light. This auction is for an antique boat lantern. On the top it says. Trade Mark Triplex, Lens Pat Dec. 20, Pat’d 1910, other pats. Pend. On the back it says. Patented April 1 st. 1913. It has a red(port) lens and a green(starboard) lens. Maybe the green is really blue. In between is a removable brass screen. It is 7.5” tall. The top has 2 holes on opposite sides. It must have had a handle. The burner is missing. There is nothing in the bottom. You would be able to electrify it easily. There 2 dents on the red side above the glass. According to eBay policy. More Nautical Items to Come- Note My User ID I am offering a early 1900s Starboard Navigation(Running) Lantern. Which is required on all vessels while underway at night. The 112° dioptric green lens has turned to a bluish green because of the manganese used as the glass clearing agent between 1860 and 1915. Based on the quality. Design, and materials used, it was most likely built in the early 1900s and still has original Wilcox Crittenden manufacturer’s tag attached to the back. The lantern is made of brass and galvanized tin measuring 10½” tall x 7” wide x 5½” deep. It is the“Hurricane Tested” model which has the original font tank with a P&A“Waterbury” burner(with wick) plus 110V electric lighting including a 64” power cord and in-line switch. This nautical artifact is a prime example of the superior U.S. craftsmanship ... moreduring this era.
