He couldn't remember now long ago but he said'decades' I looks on eBay for information and found it was made by Russell& Stoll Co. It is 10 1/2" over all the the wall/boat mount area is a circle that is 6" across the center. It is very heavy at 6 pounds without packageing materials/box. It is in 3 pieces. The case that screws in over the light globe. The glass globe which also screws in and the back that the globe and case both screw into. The glass globe reads in raised glass"P C. CO. and also has a number too that reads"9-S-4971-L" and the globe has no broken glass at all. It is thick and domed. For your consideration is an incredible large antique brass maritime or nautical cabin light lantern. It is made by Cabin Light in 1929. Model#4754. NOTE: This is one of two currently listed. Lantern is uniquely designed with a smaller traditional globe lantern housed inside the large brass and glass encasement can be removed and carried by hand. Excellent antique condition. Nice patina. Wick inside lantern and comes with a plate on back of piece to mount on wall. Outer case with glass sides and front, one side slides up and down to remove smaller lantern or to light. This is a brass spot light off of a Columbia River Gillnet boat that is very unique as it is a vintage 12 volt light that is very rare. The lens says'Per Lux 200T' it belonged to a friend of mine who could not tell me the vintage only that it was"OLD" He has used it for many years long ago on his commercial fishing vessel. I do not know if the bulb lights or not as I don not have a 12v system to plug into. Either way it would make a great piece to add to your nautical collection. This is a Vintage Nautical Ship Maritime Red Lens Electric Boat Lamp It does work. The red paint is chipping. The Brass housing for the lamp is not damaged. It is about 9 inches tall and is 5.25 inches across at the bottom. There is no damage to the cord. The bolt top(nut) to a post is missing. It looks like a post has been replaced. Brass Gimbal Lamp, Edison Socket, Bryant Switch Maritime/Train Table/Wall Light
This light measures about 7½" tall. And the base is 4" in diameter. The socket is marked Edison, and the switch Bryant. There is a small ½" hairline crack on the first ring of the base. I tried to photograph it. But it didn't show up in the photo. The loop that hung the lamp has been cut off to make it a table lamp. The cord is definitely not original or appropriate to the lamp. Perko De-lite Bow Light, brass maritime oil lamp
Weather-bronzed’ Perko De-lite Bow lantern. Oil-burning allbrass lamp with glass lens, 12.25” tall. This model was carried for quite along time by Perkins Marine, This particular lamp was made in the late 1930s(1934 and earlier models has two brass safety bars protecting the lens, whichwas removed from all models by 1939, per the Perko catalogs) Based on estimatesof the Perko stamp in back, it may have been made in the 1940s– 50s. The oil fount was drilled out and electrified. And promptlyrestored to oil burning capability once I acquired it over two years ago. Alsorepaired was lower brass band that holds the lens in place. For your consideration is a very old Westinghouse Electronic MFG. Co. Floodlight. It is very heavy. It's on a stand and the light swivels up and down. A metal plate on the top front says that the watts are 200 and the Style is 1217420. There is a W on the top metal and also in the middle of the lens. I found one like this on Google and it is described as Vintage Nautical. Maritime Floodlight, Naval, Ship Light from around the 1940's. I know nothing about the history of the floodlight but would like to know more about it if anyone can tell me more. The cord is old and I did not test it. This item is large and heavy. I'm guessing it is cast iron and aluminum but not sure of the material. The round metal part is aprox. 13 1/2" x 14" part around the glass lens) The overall height from the floor to the top of the light is ... moreaprox. 21 1/2" tall. It is aprox. 19" across from handle to handle. A very nice fellow Ebayer from the West Coast who collects these old lights told me some information on this light. The back shows black that comes off when I dabbed at it. This is probably a pretty rare item and would make a good addition to any Nautical collection. Sale fell through on last listing of this item. Aldis Lantern Handheld Nautical Maritime Ship Signal Light Lamp 4 Inch
For your consideration today is a beautiful example of a 4 inch. Handheld Aldis lantern used as a ships' signal light. Included. Is an old custom made oak box with a missing handle/strap, an extra blue lens and connecting cable with brass fittings. The extra lens does have a crack as shown in the photo. I did look for identifying marks, but none were found. What looks like a nameplate on the side and another on the bottom of the unit, is rubbed clean evidently from years of use. Although I don't have a power source to test this lamp. When I depress the switch, I get a good continuity reading on my ohmmeter, and when released, it shows none. This tells me that the cable, switch and lamp are still good. The signaling trigger appears to work, as when it is pulled, the mirror does pivot slightly up and down. The areoscope(telescopic sight) ... moreis clear and the sighting cross-hairs are crisp and visible. All-in-all, for its age, this wonderful piece of maritime history is in good condition. This is a 1919 No 1935 Great Britain antique maritime lamp. This lamp has been converted to electric and is in good working condition. Bulb is included. This solid brass lamp is fairly heavy and high quality construction. Brass does have some staining and tarnish on it and underneath has more tarnish that is green in color so it will need polishing this lamp. Cleaning and polishing of this lamp will be the responsibility of the buyer to do. I am not going to clean or polish this lamp at all before shipping this lamp to the buyer so please look closely at the condition of this lamp by checking photos closely before purchasing. Antique Peter Gray Maritime Nautical Red Globe Anchor Lantern Light Great Lakes?
Just out of a local house is this antique Maritime Ships lamp. It was made by Peter Gray around 1890 or perhaps earlier. The lantern is galvanized with old red paint. It has a Fresnel glass globe that is clear on the outside and cased with a layer or red glass on the inside. I have seen these listed in our lantern books listed as Great Lakes lights. Navy Lanterns, Stern, or Anchor lights. This light measures about 19 3/4 inches tall. 7 inches across the base, and about 7 1/2 inches at its widest. It is in good condition but has some oxidation, some damage where the bottom of the cage meets the base, and the lens has a chip. See photos. The font has an unusual burner marked Gray Boston. R&S Co. Maritime Light Fixture With Brass Cage And Pyrex Globe.
This auction is for an R&S(Russell& Stoll N.Y. maritime light fixture with a brass cage and a Pyrex globe. R&S CO NY appears on the brass cage in the third picture. The light fixture stands 8 inches high and weighs more than 8 pounds. After cleaning some of the paint off the cage. We found what appears to be cast brass underneath. The cage metal is nonmagnetic and has a brass color. The base, on the other hand, may be cast iron. It is magnetic. The only information I can find on the metal is the R&S CO NY. However the information on the globe reads PYREX T.M. REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. MADE IN U.S.A. The glass appears to be in good condition. But is still connected to the base. Antique Dietz Brass Maritime Dark Lantern Red Glass Ship Light
Here's a great old Dietz marine lantern in excellent condition. See Condition. From my research I believe it's circa 1917-1918. It's a dark lantern. With a brass sheath that pulls up to protect the glass. The sheath has numerous cracks around it(as most do) and is difficult to push back down(thus, no photos of it) Size is 11 1/4" tall x about 6 3/4" across the bottom. Aside from a few minor dings I can't find any fault with this lantern. If you know old lanterns, you'll most likely conclude, as I did, that it has much less wear than one would expect. Antique Brass Ship's Light Contains correct and highly sought after cobalt blue globe. A rare find. Cord including on/off switch is in good shape. Works as it should. Globe has chip to the lip that sits between the housing and lid. This chip is not visible when lid is on and light is lit. Both sliding doors(front/bottom) are present which makes this an even rarer find. It stands 12 inches high with about a 6 inch diameter. Estate sale find. This is a heavy duty water proof ships navigational Blue lamp. It's 9 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide and the mount on the bottom is 7 1/2" across. The glass is deep blue and has some chips but no cracks. This would make a great lamp or art project. Or if you have a one bathroom home this could be lit outside the door in the cieling when the bathroom is taken. Just a thought.

My guess is old Maritime Light came off of an old military ship.One of the tags on it says explosion proof.It is made by the Appleton Electric Co.The glass on the top says Pyrex.It is marked on the bottom. The tags on the side tell the name of the company that made it and also instruction on how to relamp it if it goes out.It is painted a typical battleship gray.It measures 16 1/4 in. tall.
