Up for sale is a very old Nautical Maritime Navigation Brass PORT Lantern/Light. Let me start by saying I do not know what I have here; it is old. Weathered and has some rust and oxidizing on the lantern. The top hanging part is loose as screws not secure in the back of it. I believe it is copper and or brass. I do not see any name on the lantern. There are no dents on the lantern. Front screw opening. The front has the word PORT. The light is heavy red glass. Not plastic. There is no interior piece that lights the lantern. The glass has come loose and the metal frame has separated in the corner but all of this can be fixed. Could use a cleaning/polishing. For its age. It is in very good condition. Antique Adlake Non Sweating Lantern Box Style 1 Way Signal Lamp(still not sure if this item is for Railroad or Boating industry) maybe someone out there can give me some data. Red Pyrex Glass appears to be in excellent shape still. From what I'm learning these unique lanterns were used by river lamplighter to mark the shoals on a Big River or Lake. But I haven't been able to verify this yet. I stumbled upon this at a thrift store today and have spent a bunch of time just trying to figure out what I have here. lol It is VERY heavy and appears to be made out of Black Wrought Iron. It also appears that all the parts are intact. There is a little kerosene container inside and the wick is still in the canister. Old Hawaii Maritime Large Harbor Dock Buoy Red Light Beacon Lantern
Aloha. I have a very large dock buoy light. It is made out of heavy duty plastic material. Weight is about 6 1/2 pounds and with the packing material and box that should add on about 2 1/2 pounds. The plastic lens is heavy duty and made to withstand severe weather. The switch that was initially there was never used because the unit was hard wired. The wires were old and I had to go inside and reconnect them. I hooked it up to my truck battery and the light went on and the motor clicked forward but I am sure it needs more power than a regular car battery. THe housing is some type of composite plastic material. Very well made. I got it from someone who said it was from Hawaii but I am not sure what part of Honolulu Harbor. So I have this light working greenish blue harbor dock light for sale AS IS. Large 15" Tall Antique Ship Nautical Maritime LANTERN Light PERKO? Restore Parts
Offered for sale is this old antique Maritime Ship Lantern for restoration or parts. I do not know who the maker was but it has a strong resemblance to some of the Perko Lamps that I am seeing on Ebay. It stands just under 15" tall. 7 1/2" wide and 7" deep. The ribbed glass is in good overall condition showing no cracks but could use a good cleaning. The original kerosene burner and font is missing and the lamp has been converted to electricity, but it does need to be re-wired as the wiring is old. This is a great candidate for restoration or to be used as parts. The bottom panel is hinged but is missing the slide rod to keep it closed which should be an easy fix. It is a rather heavy lantern weighing just over 6 pounds. Vintage Copper Ship lantern Original NOT reproduction. This was on a ship! Stern Co 1974 Double light front which is rare Has a few dents- nothing major. One on the top one on the back side. Please see pictures. Has set up for 2 light bulbs- I have always used as a display on my kitchen floor in the corner. I'm assuming it needs to be re- wired if you want to use as a light.
