Beautiful Vintage Reproduction Brass Cargo Ships Lantern-Well Made
Wow.nice lantern! This all brass and glass lantern stands 15" tall and measures 6-1.4" x 6-1/4" It has 4 glass panels, all in good condition. The brass oil font inside slides out. It holds oil and has a wick. The wick raises with ease up from the flip top burner. All you would need to do is add oil. It was very well made. It weights almost 6 pounds and has a nice bale style handle with a loop at the top for hanging and also has loop tie downs on the sides for use on a ship. The lamp does have some patina forming here and there as it should, especially on the burner. We respect old items and choose to leave them as they were found. Buyers may choose to polish and this piece would probably shine right up. What you see is what you get! We are offering for your consideration a large antique ships lantern manufactured by A WARD HENDRICKSOM& CO. of Brooklyn NY. The lens is a beautiful cobalt blue. The lantern is large. 16 inches tall 10.5 inches deep and is 13 inches wide including the holders for the rope handle. The lid is solid brass and screws on and off well. The body of the lantern is hand soldered throughout, galvanized tin. It has been painted a bronze color a long time ago; it may well be original to the lantern. It is quite heavy weighing a little over 16 pounds. It has been electrified at one time and it does light well. There is one very small chip in the lens about 1/4 inch square.

This antique nautical lantern(fore lantern? was purchased at a river-side Estate Sale and had been used as part of the rustic maritime decor in the home's spacious family room. It is 13 1/2" tall(not counting the ring to hang it by) and 6 1/2" in diameter. It weighs nearly 5 pounds. There is no battery; however. The wires are present. The copper needs cleaning and the galvanized metal is weathered. The Fresnel lens seems to be in perfect condition once cleaned up(1st photo is cleaned lens; last photo is uncleaned lens. Brass top and a brass fount. The overall condition of this lantern is very good and displays well as is. However, it does need a good cleaning and the hinge which attaches to the bottom plate needs to be re-soldered. Brass Anchor Lantern Columbia River Lightship LV-88, Meteorite Marine Lamp Gift?
This"Meteorite" 3M" anchor light was removed from the US Coast Guard Lightship LV-88 by her last owner. The body of this lamp is a brass or copper alloy by the look of it and the original fresnel lens is present. There are galvanized iron wire hangers top and bottom to raise and secure the light on board ship. The original burner is present along with plenty of soot and in general it is just as it was when last used. Overall condition is good. No cracks or broken joints, but there are three fairly large dents and various small ones as typical of a lantern used on a ship for years. The lens is in very good condition with the exception of one area of chipping about 1.5" long as shown in the photo. The lens a good quality casting with a trademark of three"G"s within a pyramid. In my opinion this is typical of the ... morekind of wear you see on these lanterns, particularly anchor lights which were frequently hauled up and down for lighting and extinguishing. I have not asked. But I can probably get a letter or note from the man who owned the ship attesting to the provenance of this lantern. I do not promise that to the buyer as I have not asked, just occurred to me while writing this) but I think he would probably not mind doing so. In any even, I guarantee the provenance 100% This would make a wonderful gift for a collector of marine antiques or a former lightship crewman etc. A coppersmith or silversmith could remove the dents quite easily in my opinion. And of course polishing would an option. If the buyer wishes, I can arrange to have this soda-blasted at the buyer's cost. This removes all soot, dirt and oxidization and yet does not stipple or affect the surface of the metal or glass in any way. This listing is for an unique pair of vintage/antique(age unknown) electric accent lamps. They are unmarked but the inline switches are Leviton and the aqua shade is clearly marked Jefferson. These do have wear from age and use including very worn cloth electric cords(works but for safety needs upgrade) The brass/gold finish has corrosion and tarnish. And the shade on the red lamp is a bit bent on one of the edges. The red shade has a chip near the top- shown in picture 9 by pointer finger and some chipping around the bottom edge. Hello. You are viewing my sale for an Antique"Eli Griffith& Sons Ltd. 1911 Birmingham" Nautical Lamp Or Lantern. My research shows that this may be an English Royal Naval Lamp however I am not 100% certain of this. This lamp is engraved on the front underneath the top section lid that lifts up. This top lid locks in place by the latch. The entire lid also lifts open. This item appears to be made from copper and brass however I am uncertain of the exact types of metal used. The lamp measures 15 and 3/4" tall by 8 and 3/4" wide by 7 and 1/4" deep. It weighs 8.6 pounds. The glass panes are all in good condition with no breaks present. There is some minor dents present as well as some wear. There is also a small opening in the metal on the top reverse section. I am unsure what may be missing from this lamp. This is an Antique Nautical Bow or Stern Lantern Lamp.Clear Ribbed Front Lens has a crack.The Piece is made of either Brass or Copper but has been painted over black apparently several times but I do see some areas of rub off that shows it to be brass or perhaps copper.The Lantern has a Drop down Bottom secured by a pull latch.I guess either an Oil Lamp or Candle would be placed on the bottom to illuminate the lantern.The LANTERN measures 17 1/2" tall x 7 1/4" wide x 6 1/4" deep.Due to the CLEAR LENS this was used either has a Bow or Stern Light.Pretty Cool Old Lantern!I can find no stamp manufacturer marks however. Due to the amount of paint those marks could be filled in and if the paint removed perhaps a MFG mark could be found.Thanks for looking!

Antique Collectible Perkins Marine Maritime Nautical Lamp Lantern NO RESERVE
Perkins Marine Lantern/Lamp Mfrd by: Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation. Brooklyn, NY This is a highly collectible antique marine lantern/lamp. This was inherited from a grandparent and has been in my storage for at least a decade alone. I do not know the exact age but can only guess it is at least 50 years plus. This lantern has a chain attached to hang from a ceiling or other and takes a standard lightbulb. I do not know if this was the original configuration or it was modified like this. It has not been damaged by other modifications like similar lamps offered on eBay that are attached to bases or made into lamps. I have never polished this item so I assume it is brass and not copper. The dimensions are approximately 18 in. from the top of the handle to the bottom of base. It is 14 and 3/4 in. tall without the handle. The width is approximately ... more7 and 1/2" The condition is excellent except two minor spots. First. All of the rods that protect the glass are all present in place and not bent or otherwise damaged. However, the top of one of the rods(see photo) is loose. This will need to be re-brazed in place which I am told is a easy and cheap fix. The second spot is a small dent on the base of the lantern(see photo) This could be hammered out easily or left alone to show the lamps character. The glass is clear and intact but has a minor nick or two in a couple of the ridges which are not noticeable without searching for, but there are NO Cracks or other damage to the glob. Similar lamps on eBay have starting prices of almost $200 and go past $500 and do NOT include shipping. And they are missing parts and in far worse condition. Just the replacement glass alone goes for at a minimum of $50 to $100. I hope you get a great bargain on this beautiful antique. There is NO reserve and shipping is FREE! Good Luck!

NEPTUNE ANTIQUE SHIPS LANTERN, ORIGINAL AND VERY OLD
This is a vintage or antique. Solid heavy brass ships lantern. Used about 100 years ago on sailing and steam powered cargo ships, It was originally made to burn oil but can also use kerosine. Marked"NEPTUNE" and"N" and"R" Replaced movable glass panels on 4 sides are not original but with no cracks or chips. Rivets are copper. The burner portion is all there. Please note the top of the glass chimney is missing about 1.5" of glass. This missing glass top is not very noticeble Chimney is probably not available at a hardware, however, a lamp store may have one. We found one with the narrow bottom on line at approx.$16.00, therefore we are discounting the lamp by that amount. Lamp measures 15 inches in height from the base to the top(not including the wire handle) and 6 inches on each side of the base. Would ... moremake a great hallway light if electrified. Antique nautical marine lantern brass fresnel lens lamp
Up for bids is a wonderful old lamp from a local estate. It stands about 10 1/4" tall not including the ring on top. It measures about 5 1/2" wide. The lamp was electrified at some pint long ago. The original burner was removed and a porcelain socket was installed in its place. The cord. Switch and plug are all in good shape. The socket takes a standard base light bulb. It comes with a mounting bracket attached to a pine board. The board measures about 10 5/8"x 6" The board is varnished and has nicely chamfered edges. The bracket does not look original to the lantern, but does a good job and holds the lantern snugly in place. I have used this lamp on a table as well as on the wall. It makes a great accent light. LANTERN antique nautical maritime lifeboat light lamp onion globe pierced tin
Antique iron and tin. Blown glass globe, w/ star and diamond piercing. Lifeboat lantern. Boat, ship, nautical, maritime, s tanding 9 and 5/8 in. high to fluted chimney cap. Handle adds 4 and 3/4 in. Base opening outer: 5 and 3/8 in. CONDITION: 1) slight tilt to one side 2) some re-solder spots where cage wires cross. 3) edge dent. Sm. loss rolled edging, base, 4) solder repair where vertical wire joins base. 5) font is original. 6) globe is original w/ lots of waviness& trapped air bubbles. see photos for accurate inspection.
