Here is a vintage/antique? ANKERLIGHT copper nautical lantern. This is electric and it does work. The rubber seals inside have long since rotted away. Some of the copper is turning green. I imagine when this was new it was bright and shiny copper. The glass is in good condition. The lantern is approx. 15" tall. The bottom is 2 halves of plexiglass. I have sold a half dozen nautical lamps and this is by far the fairest of them all.inside 7 out. It has a beautiful patina. Only one very small dent, no scratching or chips. There are two layers of curved glass.the exterior glass(Barcelona Glass) is clear and a red internal curved piece. Both pieces excellent.no chips or cracks There is an opening. Surrounded by a rubber gasket, going into the lamp. Not sure what it is for, maybe a lead light. I placed a small light in the body to show what this lamp can look like. Could be electrified quite easily with the hole already there. Great looking lamp. Would look great all lit up out on a boat dock. By the pool or on a patio. Could be hung, attached ... moreto a wall bracket or just set on a shelf. Excellent Condition. There is some type of mounting bracket on backside. The lid is also very tight with solid hinges. I gently eased the top off with a screwdriver to open. You must remove the screw all the way to open.it slides into a hole as shown in pictures. There are 4 little feet on bottom with holes for air circulation. Would appreciate any info you might have as to maker as there is no hallmark on the lamp. Believe it's early 1900's. You will love this lamp.satisfaction guaranteed. I am also hoping to pick up it's starboard mate. The owner was reluctant to part with one lamp let alone both. I understand why!

Antique Lantern metal 20.5" 8 glass sides swing door 3 lights Nautical
Very unique Antique nautical metal lantern. The lantern has 8 glass sides. 3 lights(electric candles) The Antique lantern also has 8 knobs as feet. With a wooden handle. The wood and lantern is a little worn, nothing you would not expect from a antique. It also has a mounted arch. Needs to be rewired. Maybe the lantern was originally gas. But not 100% sure. Comes with 7 1/2" feet of chain. I think it was used on a Old Cruise Ship as a swag. You can take the chain off and just use on a table. After it was rewired. Measures 20 1/2" tall 6 3/4"wide.

This little lantern is in very good condition. I don't know the age of it and there is not a manufacturer name on it. It is nicely done. I is electric. The bulb in it is marked USA. I was able to read Sylvania and 230V. I wiped the end to read it more clearly and all of the letters went away. It is a dual pole bulb. The bulb receptacle screws out and there are screws that can be removed or loosened to place wires into it then tightened back to make a very good positive connection. Antique HELVICS SHIPS LANTERN BLUE GLASS , WOW!!!
This HELVICS SHIPS LANTERN has been electrified but honestly if I were going to keep it. I'd remove the light and use a contained candle but that's just me. Either way as you can see, it is very nice to look at. I believe that it is white metal with a brass and copper patina. The patina is great and this lantern displays beautifully. I think that blue is starboard but I could be wrong. You can see the small chips to the left side of the glass but you have to really look hard to see them and they in no way detract from the beauty of this 100 plus year old lantern.this is a very good quality lantern and it took a while to figure out that it might not be brass. I made a very small scratch at the very bottom of the front that you will never see and I looked at it with a jewelers loop and it looks like white metal. On the lantern there ... moreis what appears to be a thin layer very old tar or something black spots. I took a lot of it off with the back of a spoon. It kinda just pops off. I have no clue as to why this was put on but most is gone and the lamp looks great. Weathered and has some rust and oxidizing on the lantern. The top hanging part is loose as screws not secure in the back of it. I believe it is copper and or brass. I do not see any name on the lantern. There are no dents on the lantern. Front screw opening. The front has the word PORT. The light is heavy red glass. Not plastic. There is no interior piece that lights the lantern. The glass has come loose and the metal frame has separated in the corner but all of this can be fixed. Could use a cleaning/polishing. For its age. It is in very good condition. The lantern comes AS IS and as shown. It is literally a barn find! It was found in an old barn in Dover FL. that the wife and I picked with the permission of the owners. This piece is rusty and old and we call that rusty gold. The red glass lens is CRACKED IN HALF and CHIPED as shown. There are chips inside from the lens. This would make a grate decorator or shelf piece. I am not sure the exact usage this had when new but I believe it to possibly be a buoy marker light or the light off of a large ship. There is no electrical parts in side. There is a mounting bracket on the bottom and there is conduit to allow wiring up the ... morecenter. It is 11" tall. 10" deep and 8" wide with a rusty steel case. The cracked lens will be taped with painters tape to insure no further damage occurs in shipping.
