Vintage Glass or Pyrex Maritime Dark or Deck Lantern Globe
This strange globe came attached loosely to an Dietz#6 New York Central bellbottom Lantern. I had no clue what it was; It sat in a box with other orphan lantern parts. I really thought it might be a cut down mayonnaise jar. I was reading an online article about marine brass or galvanized lanterns and noticed a duplicate to this. I now realize that this is a globe for a marine dark or deck lantern. It's probably made of Pyrex glass by Corning for lanterns that are subject to exposure to cold seawater when lighted. I suspect that there are serious collectors that can tell much more as to age and original applications. There don't seem to be any serious nicks or flaws and the overall condition is described as very good. These(2) Antique ships lanterns are. I am told, 19th century. Found these items in my deceased brother's art gallery Rockport on Bearskin Neck, Mass. Vintage Starboard Ship Kerosene Lantern Light Lamp Port Blue Glass Brass 21" BIG
Vintage ship's starboard lantern in a unique tri-plex shape. One of the largest I've seen at 21" from base to finial. 11" x 11" square with the typical curved front. Thick blue glass(not an interchangeable light filter) with horizontal grooves. Brass trim and a brass finial with hanging ring. Great"keyhole" vent holes throughout. Suffers from an untidy paint job and is in need of some updating. Missing original kerosene lamp and has been converted with a light socket. Needs new electrical cord. Brass has a lovely patina and there is still some vintage kerosene soot on the inside of this lamp. There is a small spot on the bottom by a switch of some sort that corrosion has eaten through the metal. But it's repairable and not endemic to the rest of the lantern. Glass is free of cracks or chips.

Primitive Antique Early Lighting Satin Finished Glass Oil Lamp Light Lantern
This is a very nice antique early lighting oil lamp. The lantern has a satin paneled glass finish. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The lantern with the glass chimney on it stands 21" tall. Without the chimney and including the metal burner it is 12" tall. It is 6" wide across the middle and is 6" wide across the bottom. The metal burner is in good working condition. Overall this is a very nice unique antique oil lantern and would make a great addition to any collection. Selling a cute little copper lantern. All five panes of glass are individual. The hurricane is in nice shape with some nicks. No makers name that I can find. Says made in Hong Kong on the bottom. This one appears to be a Viking but I cannot find any markings on this lantern or the lamp itself. It is complete. The wick is inside of the oil tank as shown. Has a black wooden handle on the top. Antique Nautical Brass Lantern With Green Glass Electrical
This is an Antique Nautical Brass Lantern with an electrical cord. It works! I don't know the age of this. But it is antique because of the cord and the plug. It measures 11 inches high with green glass over the bulb and it glows green. There is a brass flame at the top of it that I did not get in the picture. This is a very neat old piece. Antique Brass / Glass Marine Oil Lantern Case- Nice Nautical Decor
A nice old brass and glass oil lantern with a brass cage over glass design. This originally held a small brass oil lamp which I do not have. The lantern has all four sides. The side that opens does not have the original hinge. When at rest on a table the door stays shut just fine. The brass edge that held the hinge pin slips inside and. When you close the hasp, the door stays in place. You may want to put a hinge on it to get it to swing open like it is supposed to. Either way, perfectly serviceable as is. We use it outdoors with an outdoor candle and it has a nice nautical look. It has a wood and brass handle for carrying. Overall in good condition but could use a good polishing and a cleaning. The glass is all good but one small corner has some loss on the inside(see close up photo) Obviously there are some minor dings and bends in the ... morebrass. This is being sold as a decorative item only and not a rare collectible antique unless you want to restore it. It is 13 inches tall not including the handle and 15 1/2 inches counting the handle. Aged Brass and Etched Glass Nautical Lamp Lantern Candle Holder
This belonged to my Uncle and he had it for roughly 30-40 years. He lived on the lake in upper Michigan. So that’s why I think it’s a nautical lamp. But I’m not really sure. The top opens and shuts, and the base turns to unlock and open. The last thing my Uncle had in the base was a 2-1/4" citronella insect repellent oil candle(shown in photo as an example. But I'm not including that in auction because it's old and dried up) The brass is aged and there is quite a bit of oxidation as you can see in the photos. I haven't attempted to clean it with soaps and solvents because I don’t know what I’m doing and could ruin it. Plus I know some people like the natural patina look. The patina blues on the bottom are gorgeous. It measures 9 ½” high. The etched designs in the glass globe are 8-pointed stars making a beautiful starburst ... moredesign. Made in India.

This is a copper lantern that measures 18" tall and 6 1/2" wide across. It has 6 glass sides with cut stars and vines? There is a glass oil lamp base, no wick or top that is fitted into the base of the lamp. the door opens at 2 two panes on a copper constructed hinge and latches closed. all solder joints in decent shape for its age, just one cracked pane of glass. Vintage Red Glass Fresnel Lenses For Ship Light Or Lantern
This is for one vintage– antique red glass lens for a boat light. Ship light, shore light or lantern. It is in the shape of half of a cylinder. The lens is in the shape of a Fresnel lighthouse style lens. It is red glass through and through. Not just red on the surfaces. It is 7 3/8 inches tall and 7 7/8 inches wide at it's widest. It has an inside diameter of 6 9/16 inches. It has a molded in rabbit or stepped edge for mounting in the lantern on the top and bottom. On the top edge it has"Corning Made in U.S.A. molded in the glass. The side edges have grind marks from making it flat there. There are some small chips on the edges. There are no cracks or repairs on it. It came from Duluth, Minnesota. Duluth is at the west end of Lake Superior and has a large ocean going ship harbor. Here's a great old Dietz marine lantern in excellent condition. See Condition. From my research I believe it's circa 1917-1918. It's a dark lantern. With a brass sheath that pulls up to protect the glass. The sheath has numerous cracks around it(as most do) and is difficult to push back down(thus, no photos of it) Size is 11 1/4" tall x about 6 3/4" across the bottom. Aside from a few minor dings I can't find any fault with this lantern. If you know old lanterns, you'll most likely conclude, as I did, that it has much less wear than one would expect. *Vintage Masthead Lantern Electrified Tung Woo Hong Kong Copper England Glass UK
This is a wonderful copper masthead lamp/lantern that was converted over to a lamp for home use by a talented hobbyist who loved Nantucket. While the cord is 16" long. It was made to sit on a shelf or furniture because he thoughtfully added felt to protect the surface it was sat on in his home. The glass is original and is marked C.B. Birmingham England as etched. It is one of the cleaner and well preserved lanterns I have seen. It is approx 12 ¾" tall- not including the handle and 8 ½" wide including the brass brackets. Fabulous Antique Ships Light Music Box Folk Art Piece Heavy Glass Brass Lantern
ALL Items with now be shipped INSURED. Please contact us immediately with any issues. This fabulous Estate Item is full of history! This ships lantern/light is actually a music box. Which is hidden underneath the top. The story behind this item is that ships lanterns and light fixtures were salvaged to make gifts. Much like upcycling is today. This light fixture/lantern was believed to be from a passenger ship, circa 1929. IT does appear to have been cleaned at some point, or this was possibly an inside lantern because there is very little pitting and wear from the salty air. We cannot confirm this story. But we assured the consignor we would share it with interested parties. The glass is heavy. Cut glass, with brass accents. The music box is semi-crude, but plays perfectly. When you look through the top of the lantern, you can see an embossed"Japan" ... morein reverse on the glass bottom. The light/lantern is not functioning as a lantern any more. All lantern parts have been removed. This is an AS IS auction- the age of the piece cannot be confirmed. But it is certainly beautiful! Measures 11" tall and 16 1/2" in circumference.
