I don't know much about these but they are thick glass shades for marine usage. Decks, docks, landscaping, they measure 4-1/8” H x 3-1/8” in diameter, nice glass beehive pattern. In good condition, there are a few glass slivers that have chipped of on the inside around the little hole. Each have one very small sliver chip on the outside around the small hole. RARE Vintage Lantern Light Buoy Piling Ship Anchor Dock Nautical Galv. Brass
Up for auction today is vintage nautical lantern. Different people call these types by such names as; buoy. Piling, master head, anchor, or dock lantern/ light. I am not sure of the proper name or use for this lantern. Can you inform me? It measures 17 ½” tall. The bottom is 8” in diameter, the top is 7 ½” in diameter, the lens is 4 ¾” tall(the exposed portion) and the lens is approx 5” in diameter. The lens is a dark ruby red and I see no cracks or chips. The body is galvanized metal with the rings. Latching hardware and the top ring of bottom portion being made of brass. There is a makers mark on the inside but some is missing and I cannot tell by what I can read who the maker is. Do you know? I assume that it was battery operated but there is no battery or wiring that is visible. I did not take the top portion apart and ... moredo not know if there is a bulb inside. The one photo that shows the lens bright was held up to the sun. The lantern is in good overall condition with some oxidation and rust as shown. Boat or Dock Light* This is a vintage maritime nautical Fresnel Lens Lamp that was previously being used as a dock light in Austoria. Oregon on Oregon's North Coast. It appears to be brass or copper metal(do not know if solid or plate) It has a glass fresnel lens. It measures approximately 7 1/2" tall to top of hanger and 4 1/2" in diameter at the base. It is wired to take a standard electric light bulb. The metal top and bottom attach to fresnel lens with thumb set screws. It is as found and well weathered from years of use although it is still functional. We have not cleaned the metal or glass and there are deposits from the elements on both the metal and glass. Here is a Large 8 inch tall RED LENSE REAL GLASS marked Corning on glass Nautical SHIP. DOCK, or PIER Nautical Light. This 8 inch tall lamp has a 3 1/2 inch tall RED glass bezile lense, There are only a couple of specs on the glass that appears to be in very good condition NO CRACKS. The base is 6 inches across and the light is very heavy duty. Not sure if it is military as it appears to be somewhat grey in coloring. There is a number 9-S 4473-L in raised lettering on top. There is a 64 inch heavy duty cord with some type of plug in socket end see photo 5. Not sure if from a ship, dock or pier. Not sure if it works or what type of power supply it used. May have had a thin brass coating at one time. 12" red glass lens is in great shape and is pebbled inside. Entire light measures 23" tall and is 15" front to back. There are three large clip hinges that hold the lens rim in place. At the top of the light you can see the two small stationary hinges(one is broken) so that the lens and trim ring can be lifted up but remain attached. Even though one of these is broken. The lens and trim ring are held securely by not only the remaining hinge but the three much larger ... moresnap hinges at the top and sides of the light. The light has an iron base with four big screws for mounting. There used to be a mercury glass reflector that fit the back of the light's interior. Only shards of it were left when I found this light. The gentlemen I purchased it from said his mother had aluminum foil inside for a reflector. She had it mounted on their boat dock and they used it to find their way home. The light has a long industrial electric cord on it and works great(see pics) Light has a great look! They don't make them like this anymore! I have not attempted to clean or polish the brass housing. But with a bit of elbow grease, it would probably shine up. Weighs 24 pounds unboxed. VINTAGE PERKINS DOCK or STERN LIGHT
For your consideration is a dock. Stern, navigation, light. I picked this up at a flea market and thought I would re- purpose it and somehow put it on my outside wood deck as a nautical accent piece. That was years ago and I never got around to it. I have had in a box in the basement for a long time. The base has come loose and will need to be soldered or epoxied back together. The clear fresnel glass lens has no cracks or chips and is marked PERKINS ML NO 9. The rest is metal. Some parts are rusty; Some parts are painted. And some are not. VINTAGE 10" DIAMETER DOCK ELECTRIC LIGHT - CROUSE-HINDS COMPANY - V.G.CONDITION
Up for auction is this vintage dock lamp made by the Crouse-Hinds Company of Syracuse. NY, U.S.A. The dock lamp is a model HL-P-1920 that takes a 3/8" base 100 watt light bulb. The clear glass convex lens measures 8" in diameter and is protected by seven aluminum struts as seen in the photos. The original wiring that extends out from inside the lamp has some lightweight wiring spliced onto it but needs additional length to hook up to an outlet. The clear glass lens is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damaged whatsoever. The lamp measures 10" in diameter by 6" high including the four holes to mount on either a dock or boat. The physical condition is very good and ready to be hooked up to the buyer's dock, boat, or anywhere lighting is needed outside. Weighs 8 lbs. before packaging. THIS IS I BELIEVE A VINTAGE BRASS MARINE LAMP. IT IS MARKED FR-189 ON THE TOP AND INSIDE THE BRASS BOTTOM. I FOUND THE RUBBER SEALS IN GOOD SHAPE WHEN. I TOOK APART TO CLEAN. Vintage Old Cast Iron Ship/ Ship dock Spot Or Search Light- Not Sure
This item up for sale is a large cast iron mounted spotlight/ fog light or ship search light. Possibly came off old ship or ship dock yard. Very heavy and shows signs of patina due to age. This light has a hatch which opens like a ship window and the bolts are clean and free of rust and loosen and tighten with ease. Not sure if the light socket is original but works well. There is a 200 watt bulb now but could add a brighter bulb if wanted. There is a chip of the lens missing on the inside about the size of a fifty cent piece but the outside still feels smooth. There is no crack in lens and it is not broke.The light measures 34" tall and is 24" across from bracket to bracket holding light where it swivels up and down.The lens is 16" in diameter. The mounting plate at bottom is 8" long and is 6" deep. The mounting ... morebracket at bottom is in great shape for it"s age and could be mounted easily. The light is like a old gray ship or shipyard color and in some areas it shows a red color primer coming through wear paint is chipped or worn. This light will swivel up and down between bracket. This light shows to be very old and has signs of patina as seen in pictures. This would be a nice piece for a maritime collector or just a nice piece of american history. Old Hawaii Maritime Large Harbor Dock Buoy Red Light Beacon Lantern
Aloha. I have a very large dock buoy light. It is made out of heavy duty plastic material. Weight is about 6 1/2 pounds and with the packing material and box that should add on about 2 1/2 pounds. The plastic lens is heavy duty and made to withstand severe weather. The switch that was initially there was never used because the unit was hard wired. The wires were old and I had to go inside and reconnect them. I hooked it up to my truck battery and the light went on and the motor clicked forward but I am sure it needs more power than a regular car battery. THe housing is some type of composite plastic material. Very well made. I got it from someone who said it was from Hawaii but I am not sure what part of Honolulu Harbor. So I have this light working greenish blue harbor dock light for sale AS IS.
