Part of the electrical cord remains inside- This piece sits on a wood blog base with the cord that enters the bottom of lantern and runs thru the center of wood block base that measures 9" x 9 1/2" This Fresnel lantern light overall height is 7 1/2" sitting on wood block and weighs more than 13 lbs. This red glass lantern has Fresnel lens all-round lantern with protective brass bars and bronze screw on top. Good vintage condition; no dents in the brass and only a couple small sliver chips on a couple of louvers of red fresnel glass; The brass lid is a bit tight for me to screw on and off using a wrench. This piece was made to use as a table light- with outlet cord and plug that looks older. Plugs in fine and needs a bulb- but I could not open top with bolts- my hands were not strong enough to turn wrench. It likely needs a small bulb and would work fine. Heavy bronze cast porthole style light fixture from ship. Likely european based on the bulb style. Brand new bulb was special ordered has bayonet base(and is 110 volt) but is readily available for about $5-6. About 9 inch diameter bronze casting. No markings I can see to identify maker. Wired for US as a decorative piece with standard plug and wood frame mounting. Weather seal badly deteriorated, otherwise nice and solid. Will be using pack and ship service on this item so shipping charge will reflect this special handling. Weight is approx 15 pounds. Local pick up welcome also.

Nautical Bronze Plated Round Post/Pier/Ship Cap Antique 6 Inch Round Tie Down
You may be bidding on this old cap that probably was bolted on a ship or located to help lead the ropes that would tie down ships. It weighs about 12 pounds and stands 8 inches tall. The ball has a 6 inch diameter. You can see the bronze/brass plating at the base of the cap. The patina is beautiful and the rust is real. I'm guessing at shipping costs. Please take a close look at the photos and see what awesome shape these lights are in. Authentic and removed from a Navy ship. These lights were used in the bombing area of the old navy ships. They measure about 4 1/2 inches thick and 9 1/2 inches wide. Both open and hinges are in excellent condition. I have not restored or rewired. They are in original authentic condition. Vintage bronze and brass nautical retractable scissor lamp sconce. Extends out to more than two and a half feet. Contracts to 17 inches. Rewired with reproduction green cloth covered cord with inline switch. Very good condition with minor dents and scratches, when fully extended the piece dips slightly(it could be tightened I think) The sconce has about 10 feet of wire to plug into an outlet, but it could be easily wired directly into the wall. LL Rowe Bronze Ship Red Signal Light Symbol 190 Series Red FRESNEL LENS Works!
For your Bidding consideration is a L.L. ROWE nautical light with red fresnel lens. This is from the Series 190 group of Nautical lights used by the U.S. navy. I acquired it from a retiring Boat Motor Repair Service who had acquired it a number if years ago and was using it at night on his outdoor patio. It has a variety of markings embossed into the Bronze housing so see photos for numbers. It is 120 volt. 90 watt. It uses 6#15T7C lamps and is in great working condition. It has a heavy duty red fresnel lens with no cracks or chips. The cord, I don't believe, is not original as it would have originally been heavily wired for military use on a naval vessel in an outdoor environment but has been set up and is working. The cord has been spliced, most likely by the previous owner when setting it up for use. There is a small switch on one ... moreside for"On/ Off" When lit, the light is a cherry red color. The color in the photos is a bit muted but know it is a beautiful cherry red- much nicer than the photos reflect. I have spoken with the manufacturer and they said that this is an extremely high quality lamp- originally charged to the navy at circa $1200 per light. The light, due to the high quality of the Fresnel Lens, is visible 20-30 miles. When in use, the housing does heat up which is normal according to L.L. Rowe personnel due to the heat transfer from the lamps to the bronze housing. The light measures 9 1/2" tall x 6" wide at the base. It weighs 13 pounds pre-packed.
