We have applied a fresh coat of good quality paint to the top section of this light that is made of steel. We do not see these very often. So do not miss out on this rare find! The porcelain shade is 12 inches wide. When the light is mounted to the ceiling, it will extend down about 9 inches. This light weighs about 6 1/2 pounds. To access the bulb area, you spin off the brass cage and the glass globe. We have installed a new bulb holder and wiring in each light that is UL-Listed and made by Westinghouse Electric. The bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 50 watts or less. Wired to work with any voltage under 250 volts. The top side of the ceiling junction box is 4 1/2 inches wide and the two mount holes are 5 inches on center of each other. These are great for interior and exterior projects! The shade has a few minor chips and one rib dent as you can see in the above photos. You will be shipped the light shown in the above photos. Antique MARITIME NAUTICAL SHIP LANTERN Red Glass Copper & Brass
Up for bids is a great marine piece- an antique ship lantern. This nautical lantern is made of brass and copper metals and a beautiful piece of red onion glass. It has a sloped top which keeps water and rain from the inside of it. The red onion glass is encompassed by protective brass pieces which prevent it from being damaged when it swings. This lantern also has both the top pivoting brass hanger. AND the bottom one. I see very few of these lanterns that were made with these, and if so they no longer have the bottom one. At some point someone has removed the kerosene drum/holder and started the process of making this electrical. I have not attempted to complete this. It is fitted with a very simple bulb holder and a turning switch which still turns and clicks. This has in no means detracted from the beauty of this lantern and will make ... moreit simpler to electrify if someone chooses to do so. This lantern is in fantastic vintage condition. It has wear associated and common with its age but overall really nice! If someone chooses to polish this it will shine like new. The glass is in very good condition. It has some wear marks. Rough spots, or minor chipping on the rims/edges but no breaks. The wear is only from where it is fitted into the copper ends. These marks are not seen or noticable when the lantern is put together. The glass itself has some air bubbles but only visible upon close examination. The sloped top has several small dents in it. The two copper caps look very good and I do not see any dents or tears in them. The brass hangers and glass protectors have only age patina to them but otherwise perfect. The measurements of this lantern is 25 1/2" when hanging from the top of the hanging attachment to the tip of the bottom attachment. The glass is approx. 6 1/2" high by 8 1/2" around. I've taken this apart to show the insides of the pieces and the area where the electrical work was started. Also. When I ship it will come separated like this. GE Novalux antique copper/brass spotlight floodlight
For sale is a GE Novalux projector/floodlight/spotlight for around 1929. The bell is made of copper and the arms are solid cast brass. These lights were sometimes used as a searchlight on ships or to light up the piers at night when the ships came in to be unloaded. They are becoming increasingly hard to find and are a very visually stunning piece once cleaned up. These lights are complete minus a small amount of wiring work. the light sockets are there but as in the one picture the cords were cut when they were removed so just add a plug and they should work. All the others I've seen the inner mirror is smooth where as these have a faceted mirror.There is some wear on the mirrors but they are solid as well. This is a vintage brass spotlight. The spotlight is still in good shape with wear from age and use. Im not sure if it works. I was not able to properly test it so i am just selling it for parts or repair. Im also not sure who made the spotlight and also not sure if it is for a train or a ship, or even neither of the two. Im assuming that because it is made of brass that it is meant for ships, but again im not sure. It is a brass spotlight but is nickle plated as well. Antique Brass Electrified Hanging Ship Lantern Lamps Blue & Red Glass Lenses
This is a set of two hanging ship lantern lamps that once held a reservoir for oil or kerosene but have been electrified for a standard light bulb. Both are entirely made from bright shiny brass and have glass lenses of red and blue. On the top of both lanterns is stamped"Port Classes II& III" The one with the red lens is in excellent condition and the one with the blue lens is in good condition but looks like it has had some welding repair done along the top seam one side. Both have doors that open for easy bulb replacement. The both latch closed well. They are wired together with a 7' cord(can be hung up to 7' apart) and have a 10 1/2 foot cord with a plug coming from one lamp. The cords are not very old and are in very good condition but both have some sticky residue near the bottom of the lamps where they were taped ... moreto hold them in place. Each lamp measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 10" with handle down and 15" with handle up. These lamps will be packed well with care and insured.

In the early days of California Stockton was the hub. Many regarded Stockton as the in-land San Francisco. It was a rough place and full of vice. Many different forms of boats and ships, from sailing vessels to large paddlewheelers made their way to Stockton bringing people and goods. During WWII there were no less than two shipyards making destroyers, balloon barges and tugs for the U.S. Navy. Stockton was also home to the Stephen's Bros. Boat Builders from 1902 to 1987. These ships were commissioned in the 1940's to 1950's and were decommissioned between the years 2007 to 2009. Offered is a nautical gimbal candlestick originally intended for both bulkhead(wall) or table. I'm not suggesting that this particular one is old enough to have ever been somebody's property on a wooden frigate. However. It does have just enough weight and just enough of a rough feel to it, just enough rough hardware to it to reasonably place it mid to early last century. A knock-off in today's world would be a lot lighter. This one would actually work on a ship. It's not Captain's Cabin quality, but it's nice. And somebody at least tried to make it authentic if it isn't. Nothing has been done to this except that the ... morewax and other debris were boiled out. It could be shined up very nicely if anyone cared to do so. But it's more of a crew's light than a fancy one and might be better just cleaned up further and used. When in table mode. It is is very good condition considering its age! It has a very nice patina to it and all of the glass is still intact. It also has all of the reflector plates on the inside lid. This is important because there are reproductions out there and they do not have the reflector plates. Reproductions also don't have the lead flaps at the tops of the glass panels to hold the glass in. The other thing to look for is the data plate. Reproductions are usually thin and cheesy looking. This lamp has the nice thick data plate. I did my research before buying this at the auction and am 100% confident that this is an original. In fact there is still some soot in the corners of the reflector ... moreplates to indicate that it was used. Measurements are 24" tall and 14" across. 4 GE Novalux antique copper/brass spotlight floodlights
For sale is four GE Novalux projector/floodlight/spotlight for around 1929. The bell is made of copper and the arms are solid cast brass. These lights were sometimes used as a searchlight on ships or to light up the piers at night when the ships came in to be unloaded. They are becoming increasingly hard to find and are a very visually stunning piece once cleaned up. These lights are complete minus a small amount of wiring work. the light sockets are there but as in the one picture the cords were cut when they were removed so just add a plug and they should work. All the others I've seen the inner mirror is smooth where as these have a faceted mirror.There is some wear on the mirrors but they are solid as well.All the lenses are intact with no chips or cracks.Three of the lights are in the green patina and the fourth has had the green ... morecleaned off but needs polished. The last picture is one that i have restored and is ONLY A REFERENCE PICTURE to show what they look like finished. Although i kinda like them green as well. They take a 500 watt bulb but with a quick change of the socket they run on regular bulbs. The light is appx 30' x22'x 18' and the glass is about 15' and will be shipped separately from the light. Beautiful Custom Made Brass & Copper Pendant Ceiling Light - Rewired & Ready

On this project we started out with a common original brass passageway light. The light was soda blasted to remove the original paint. And then it was polished. Next, we fitted the light with a 10 inch polished brass deflector cover and we made a screw in brass plug to hide the original conduit hole on the side. We then added a 1/2 in threaded hole on the top of the brass housing, and added 24 inches of polished copper pipe and fittings. The ceiling mount is galvanized steel painted to match the brass light. To finish off the project ... morewe added all new UL-Listed wiring and bulb holder. The bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 60 watts or less. All electrical parts used will work on any voltage under 250 volts. We gave you 36 inches of extra wire to make your power connection. From the bottom of the globe cage to the ceiling mount. This light is 32 inches. The ceiling mount is 3 inches wide and has four mount holes. You can make this light longer by adding more copper pipe, or it can be as short as 9 inches if you reduce the pipe we have installed. The cast brass cage spins on and off freely and holds the deflector cover and glass globe in place. The glass globe is undamaged. I have been converting original brass nautical lights into custom projects for over 10 years. Our workmanship is our pride. Keep us in mind when it comes to your custom lighting projects.
