Antique Nautical Maritime Brass Ship Cargo Kerosene Lamp Lantern Vintage Heavy
This lantern is approximately 5.5" x 5.5" x 14.5" and weighs almost 6 lbs. All glass in intact with no cracks. It has a wedge burner. I have not tried to use it. It has been used in the past as there is soot at the top. Please see pictures for further condition. It appears shinier in the pictures than it really is. I have not cleaned it or polished it.

Beautiful cast brass or bronze harp with GE switch. Lamp is about 8 1/2" Tall and 4" at the base. Beautiful Art Nouveau/ Deco style. Entire lamp is non-ferrous with the exception of the base weight. Socket is held in harp with pins[not screws] Small set screw at base of socket is missing. Lamp is unsafe and in need of total rewiring. Switch has good"snap" to it. So it may be good. Thick blue glass(not an interchangeable light filter) with horizontal grooves. Brass trim and a brass finial with hanging ring. Great"keyhole" vent holes throughout. Suffers from an untidy paint job and is in need of some updating. Missing original kerosene lamp and has been converted with a light socket. Needs new electrical cord. Brass has a lovely patina and there is still some vintage kerosene soot on the inside of this lamp. Vintage Pauluhn Ship's Bronze / Brass Wall Light Salvage find.
This is a recovered"Pauluhn" Bronze/ Brass Ship's Light that was salvaged by a personal friend of mine over 30 years ago(Captain Gardner. RIP) This was rinsed off once over 30 years ago and not touched since. It still has the grit/ mud/ sediment from the bottom of the waters clinging to it as the day it was brought up on deck. I knew this Captain friend of mine for many years and he gave this to me with other salvaged Nautical Items as I built my collection(HE was in the salvage business for over 20 years along the Gulf Coast) We lost Captain Gardner in 2004 and I think about the great stories we shared over the years. I am down sizing and want to pass this on to somebody that might be able to appreciate it almost as much as I have. I could clean this up, but I am going to leave this to your discretion. You can look anywhere ... moreand find polished ship items but this one is an original from the deep. If my memory serves correct, the good Captain told me that this item came from a self propelled wood hull barge that sunk in Galveston Bay. This antique solid brass anchor light No.1235 Great Britian 1919 hung in a home on Douglas Island in Alaska for many years. Originally it most likely was used as an oil burning lamp with a globe which was removed for converting to electric lighting. The brass name plate and fresnel lens are the outstanding features that give this light character. The brass has aged nicely and still is good looking.

Size: about 23cm diameter and 24 cm high. Looks to have seen it’s time at sea. It is a beautiful piece regardless. I have not removed any of the patina. It is original and untouched(except for the label which I polished a bit) I have taken lots of picture. Please review them and ask any questions. This is a very beautiful and rather rare model of stern light. It would be a nice addition to your décor or as an operational piece of vintage marine equipment on your boat. Condition: In unrestored condition(I polished the label a bit to be readable) Patina is excellent. Even has sea salt on it: It is very structurally sound. Built to last and has. Lid opens. Back ... morescrew is fused with some stripping. The glass looks to be in excellent condition with no cracks. I believe it to be original because the hallmark on the glass is the same as on the casing. Cord has been cut and does not work(would suggest retro-fitting with modern electrics to be safe) The place where the light cord connects with the body has a crack(see picture) Dints and dings from many years at sea. Nice Old Brass Nautical Ship Lamp with Red Clear & Green Glasses NO RESERVE
Measures approx. 9-1/2" high to top of cap and 11-3/4" to top of handle. Made entirely of brass with glass lenses. The only marking or name that I could find anywhere is"THE MILLER CO. U.S.A. on the wick adjustment knob. And one side of the wick cover is signed"1925. This lantern apparently was electrified at one time, as there is a small hole neatly punched through the backside near the base. Otherwise it is complete and needs only light cleaning and polishing. A good old one, probably 1920-1940 vintage. I will combine shipping whenever possible, and normally will ship worldwide within one day of receiving payment. R.I. residents must add 7% sales tax. It's a antique Perko flashlight boat light. Measures 14" tall. Would clamp onto any boat or dingy. The only damage is in pic#5. It has some cracking in thread area. So if you put batteries in it, it pops open because threads won't give a firm fit. No corrosion, and takes batteries. Lights nicely, see pic#10. Looks brass and tin.
