This light measures just over 9 inches tall and is about 7 inches wide. The base has four mount legs. All new USA wiring and bulb socket that is marked UL has been installed. Wiring and bulb holder is rated to work with any voltage under 250 volts. The bulb socket takes a normal house bulb of 100 watts or less. To access the bulb, you spin off the top cover. The top cover is cracked and missing some of the thread ring(see photos) This light remains water tight even with the issues with the lid. The 360 degree Fresnel lens is in very good condition. Appears to have been designed to burn oil(see photos) History: In the early l960’s. I purchased this lantern from a marine salvage yard in San Francisco. I disassembled everything and had the metal parts dipped to remove decades of paint and crud. And then sprayed the metal parts with clear matte acrylic. The objective was to just clean it up; not to make it look new nor“restored” At that time we had a waterfront weekend place on Bethel Island. CA, in the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta area. Our dining table was placed before a window which overlooked Piper Slough. Where we moored our boat, and Frank’s Tract(lake) This lantern was hung above the table and centered in ... morethe window. During the wiring to accommodate 110/120V“shore power” I installed a small pull-chain switch at the bottom of the lantern. Here’s how it worked: If the adults were gathered round the table sippin. Description Up for auction are two vintage brass ship's lights. The one on the right with the black cable is marked Pemco. The base is 4-1/2" across. And it seems to be in good used condition, with green corrosion at the seam. All four screws that hold the two pieces together, have been broken and need to be fixed. The light stands just under 9" tall with the plastic globe. The globe has no chips or cracks. The light looks like it once has a mesh basket cover, that is missing. The light on the left has two broken screws at the seam, ... moreand is missing a bar on the basket. There are some bends and breaks to some of the other bars. The rest of the light looks good. Up for sale is a beautiful old brass maritime oil lantern that is signed"Wedge. This is a really cool old lantern. And it was very well made. There is glass on all four sides behind the grates. One side is a door that opens via a little latch. This lantern measures about 15" tall by 6 3/4" by 6 3/4" The brass has a beautiful, aged patina and the glass is free of any chips or cracks. 1950's Brass and Copper Cargo Ship Deck Light Wired For Home Use
This is a deck light reclaimed from a Cargo Ship circa 1940-1959. It is made from solid brass and copper. It is currently wired to use a standard home bulb. These look great as hanging lamps. You could also attach it to a stand and use it as a floor lamp. It would have to be a heavy stand. As this light weighs about 20 pounds. I recently saw a pair of these exact lamps listed for sale in an antique store for $2600. This style, with the rolled copper is pretty rare. You will see quite a few similar lights with a smooth copper reflector. But, this particular style is harder to come by.

Vintage Brass Wilcox Crittenden Conn Ship Boat Light Lantern Lamp Red & Green
I do not know how old this lantern is. I think that it is old enough to be considered vintage or possibly antique. The oval plate on the back of it reads. Wilcox, Crittenden& Co. Inc. Middletown, Conn. U.S.A. It appears to be brass. Most of the photos make the metal look redder than it actually is. The photos where the metal looks like it has a very slight greenish tint are closer to representing the actual color. I see where the close-up of the hole where the burner goes makes the edges look like maybe the metal is not brass. In real life. That is not the case. The edges look like brass. A magnet will not stick to any of the lantern and I believe that it is solid brass. I have provided a photo of the bottom being held up to a light to show how it might look when illuminated. Not including the ring at the top. It measures about 9 ½ ... moreinches high. The ring at the top adds about 1 3/4 inches. It weighs about 2 pounds 3.5 ounces. The divider is removable. The condition is much like you see it in the photos. The burner is missing. Otherwise. It is generally in excellent condition. The tarnish is a little uneven and there is a little green oxidation on the back that you can see in a photo. I have provided a close-up of a bend in the edge of the hole for the burner. I do not know if it should be there or not. A close-up shows a small shallow depression just below the seam on the chimney. I do not know if it was made that way or not. Otherwise, are no dents in the metal or breaks or cracks in the glass. The inside and a little of the outside of the glass could use some cleaning. It looks like there is some soot on the inside of the top part. There is a little of some kind of dark hard gunk on the bottom that you can see in the photo of the bottom. Otherwise, it is fine and as shown. My photos should give you a good idea of its general condition. I guarantee this lantern to be as described and represented by my photos. The lantern has a brass door and cap on top and is complete with the oil burner and wick inside. The lantern is approx. 10-1/2" tall. The lantern has overall moderate surface corrosion and I have not attempted to clean or polish it. The glass is intact and not cracked. The metal carrying loop on top has broken off. VINTAGE Metal BRASS Nautical SHIP Light 5 sided glass 13" PORT/Starboard NR!!
This is a very unique Maritime item. It's brass light with 5 sided glass. They had filaments of green and red. Port and Starboard are on the light. As you can see the colors had brittle. I cant find any maker on the light. It is 13" tall and around 25" around from the thickest section 9" Diameter. A great piece to have. Needs a good cleaning and polish. Please see pictures.

Up for auction is a very rare French Barbier Benard& Turenne Candle Powered Brass Lighthouse/Ships Navigational Lantern- Circa Very Early 1900's! These are very rare and hard to find. Only 4 have been listed on ebay during the past 7 years. This type/style of lantern was also often used as a Lighthouse Keeper's Stairwell/Passageway Light& was made by the very famous lighthouse'Fresnel' lens makers Barbier Benard& Turenne of Paris& clearly marked as such on it's front badge. This is the only Barbier Benard& Turenne lantern I have seen with rope wrapped handle. The lantern appears to have been restored some time ago. The internal screws that hold the bottom half to the glass globe guards are replacement screws. The glass globe is damaged, and I do not believe it was the original glass globe. I m no expert, ... morebut I think this lantern takes a Fresnel type globe instead of the clear type pictured with the lantern. For sale is an Antique Japanese Nippon Sento Co. Ltd. Ships Brass Oil Signal Lamp Lantern. This is a very rare lantern I have never seen another one like it listed on Ebay. The lamp is in excellent condition as evident by the photos. It has a very nice patina on the outside and looks great as is. Or can easily be polished for a brilliant shine. The lamp has a wooden handle, and on the left side of the lamp is a thumb toggle switch that opens and closes an aperture behind the lens that allows the light to have the appearance of turning on and off. I'm no expert, but I believe the lamp was designed for semaphore which is a method of using light to visually communicate with another ship, or from ship to shore, and vice a versa. The toggle switch works smoothly, and the door opens and closes freely. Please closely review all of the photos ... morefor the material condition of the lamp. The lamp has the original oil/kerosene pot, but it is missing the glass chimney and possibly a reflector that may have fit in the small rectangular slot at the end of the pot. A replacement glass chimney can be easily found online. The lantern measures approximately 20" inches from the top of the handle to the base, and it is approximately 10 1/2" inches wide. This is a vintage heavy brass lantern with a wood handle. Don't know much about this as to what type of lantern it is. It appears that this was possibly converted at one time to an electric lamp or was always an electric lamp made to resemble a lantern. The front has a working hinged opening that lools like it held a glass lense at one time. An attached brass plate on the front shows a picture of a ship or riverboat and the name"LOUISIANE" underneath this ship. This measures 16 3/4" to the top of the handle. 12 1/2" tall not including handle, 9" deep on the side, 6" wide at the front(at the widest point) Nice patina without much tarnish. Vintage Copper Oil Lamp Possibly Brass? Weighted Ship Lamp?
Here we have a cool old copper oil lamp. I believe it's copper. As the bottom is turning that beautiful reddish tint. The portions above that, however, look like they could be brass, as they are aging differently. The lamp is approximately 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide. The only identifying marks are on the neck in tiny writing which says"patd oct 31 1875" I'm sure it's that old but I couldn't find another like it. The lamp does not have any dents or scratches to speak of. It was probably a ship lamp. As the base is weighted. The whole lamp is heavy for its size; I would say 5 or 6 pounds or so. If you know what this lamp is or anything about it. Please let me know, as I love learning about old stuff like this.

From the top of the wall mount to the bottom of the cage they measure about 9 inches tall. When mounted to the wall they will extend out from the wall by 6 inches. The wall mount measures 3 inches wide and about 3 1/4 inches tall and has three mount holes. You may find it necessary to shim the light to the wall to make them hang perfectly 90 degrees in the down position. The glass globes are free of any cracks. Both lights have been totally rewired ... morewith all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of 250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less. The cage screws on and off to access the bulb. These lights may require just a little more polish work here and there. But as you can see from the photos, we have knocked out the hard part of the polishing work! This is the real deal. And we will ship you the lights shown in the above photos! NAUTICAL RED EMERGENCY SHIP LANTERN COPPER AND BRASS TABLE LAMP
Thank you for viewing this auction for is one. 1) brass and copper ship lamp converted to a table lamp. This is an old oil lamp that I believe served as a emergency light due to the red lens it has which shine 360 degrees. There are two thick heavy glass lenses on this light. The clear lens is the amplifying lens, and the inside lens is for giving the light the red color. This light is constructed of primarily copper and brass. There are also some iron components to this light, this includes the lens protectors and the two hanging brackets. The hanging brackets are used to not only hang the light vertically, but also to stabilize it from moving left to right, and front to back. There is no lamp inside of this lantern, it does no light up internally. This ship lantern appears to have been converted a long time ago; I believe at the very earliest ... moreit was made into a table lamp in the 1940’s. This is an older piece and I am unsure of the age. I am also unsure of a maker for this lamp for there are no maker marks I have been able to identify. Telling from its construction. There is a good chance this lantern is from a 19 th century ship. The condition of this lamp is old. There are multiple dents on this lantern. And appears to have been used heavily. This lamp no longer has its original oil burner, it was most likely discarded when it was converted to a table lamp. The mounting clips are still in place for accepting an oil burner. The red lens and clear reflector are intact with no cracks. The lamp is built to flex, so it does move and flex; the structure of the lamp is still sound. The lamp does work, and lights. I would suggest changing the cord if it is still desired to use as a table lamp; the cord is older, and the plug is not polarized. The copper and brass does have extensive corrosion and staining on it. Also there are a lot of dings and dents throughout. These were purchased by my parents in an antiques shop in Upper Michigan near Lake Superior back in the 50's.They were used by them in their nautical themed summer hone for about 20 years then packed away in the attic until found this week. They are very nice and can be either lit up green and red in the glass area if desired by a switch or used a single or double lamp by individual chain pulls. These are in excellent working condition. Lantern Measures 13 inches tall by 7 inches wide(approx) I believe it is Brass but it has been painted with nautical paint.
