2 Reclaimed Original Brass Nautical Passageway Lights With Deflector Covers C1
Google the name"big ship salvage" and you will learn more about who we are! You are bidding on the two reclaimed brass nautical lights shown in the above photos. We started out with a common original cast ship's brass passageway light and transformed it into this outstanding ceiling light. The first step was to soda blast several layers of paid from the original light. We then added the 8 inch wide stamped brass deflector cover with rolled edges. The original side entry conduit holes on the top housing were plugged with a threaded brass caps and a new exit hole for the wiring was drilled in the center of the top housing. We have installed a new bulb holder and wiring that was supplied by Westinghouse Electric. All of the new electrical parts are UL-Listed. And rated for any power source under 250 volts. The bulb holder takes ... morea normal screw in house bulb. We recommend using a bulb size of 60 watts or less in this light design. The new wiring exits the top of the light so all the wiring will be hidden once the light is mounted to the ceiling. The light has two mount legs with the two mount holes measuring 3 1/2 inches on center of each other. To access the bulb, the brass cage and glass globe spin on and off as one piece. The glass is undamaged. When mounted to the ceiling, this light will extend down about 6 1/2 inches. Each light weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. You are bidding on the vintage cast brass Ship's nautical passageway ceiling light shown in the above photos. This light measure about 8 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. The base has three mount holes that are about 2 1/2 inches off the center of the light. The globe is glass and in good condition. The light weighs almost 5 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. This light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of ... more250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires exit from the new hole we drilled on the bottom of the light, and the original conduit holes have been plugged with copper caps. These lights were recovered from one of our many salvage operations. These lights will have some minor wear that may include bending to the cage ribs. While we have removed most of the original paint and polished the light, some buyer may want to do additional polishing work. The cage has one broken rib near the threaded ring on the bottom side. Brass russell & Stoll Cargo Passageway Light
This is a brass Russell& Stoll cargo passageway light. The light measures 11" wide and stands 5" tall. It has clear glass lens that has a slight crack in it that can be seen in the pictures. It does not interfere with the function of the light. It is missing a brass hex nut that holds the grated light section to the base. Brass Ship's Heavy Dome Passageway Light
This is an authentic solid brass ship's passageway light with a heavy glass globe. The light is 7' in diameter and is 8' tall. There is no manufacturers name on it just a series of number that I assume indicates the government contractor. The burner is marked BRITISH MAKE FULL INCH and the knob is marked SHERWOODS LTD BHAM. There is a paper strip on the bottom that has MADE IN ENGLAND typed on it. I'm not too familiar with these lamps, but I've shown several photos. All 3 glass panels are in good condition with no cracks or breaks. There are one or two light dings on the top near the handle. Up for auction is a vintage brass ship's bulkhead/ passageway light. It weights approx. 8.5 lbs. It belonged to my Dad who was in the Navy and worked on a tug boat after the service. I see the R&S Co Ny marking on what appears to be a on/off switch. It was hanging on the wall in his house and was wired to a light switch. Was working fine prior to disconnect. It has a plugin on one side. Glass covers has no chips or cracks. Glass has letters PGC and 9-S-SK-3136-L and type p. No other markings that I see. Due to weight. From an estate sale is an Antique Vtg Brass Wall Oil or Kerosene Lantern. It measures 13" long and the beveled glass windows measure 4" x 3" All windows are free of cracks or damage. There is some surface rust on the inside but no corrosion to the metal to cause holes or damage so it could be cleaned if needed. The very top of the lantern has been soldered(see photos) but it doesn't affect the workings of the lantern. You are bidding on the 1930's Steamer Ship Passageway Nautical Light shown in the above photos. This is an authentic well crafted vintage cast brass nautical light. Unlike some of the modern reproduction lights you see on the market. This ceiling mounted passageway light is made of just over 7 pounds of cast brass material. We have taken this original light and added the 8 inch brass deflector cover and covered the original conduit holes on the side with threaded brass plugs. Freshly polished and rewired, this light is ready to hang as soon as you unpack it from our shipping ... morebox. The new wiring will work with any voltage under 250 volts. When mounted to the ceiling, this light will extend down by about 7 inches. To access the bulb, you spin off the brass cage and the glass globe spins off. The top side of the light has three mounting legs. You will need a mounting space that is about 5 1/2 inches square. The deflector cover is mounted to the cage with three screws, so if for some reason you do not want the deflector cover it is removable. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb base, but because this is a low profile light, you will need a short style bulb or 75 watts or less. We drilled a exit hole on the top side of the light that allows the wiring to exit the light and not be seen. Great interior or exterior light that will make a positive statement on your project! On the cage is stamped R& S CO/ 2406B and on the base is LOVELL ARLINGTON.N.J. It has the screw on glass dome and an orange colored light bulb.On the end of the cage it has one bar that is seperated as shown and looks a little out of shape like it's been dropped. In it's original condition. The base measures 3.5 in across and the cage measures 4 in. across. Total height is 8.5 in.

I left it how I found it.Wiped off the dust and listed it.Can be wired with an extension cord or hard wired,whatever your needs. No chips or cracks in either the brass base, brass cage or glass globe.light has the bakelite 110 volt shipboard light sockets.As is they are a very nice solid brass passageway light waiting for you to add to your collection,mount it in the garage or the man cave.This light can be used either inside or outside.
