Pair Vintage Brass Cargo Ship Boat Nautical Maritime Oil Wedge Lantern Light
Up for sale is a beautiful pair of old brass maritime oil lantern that is signed"Wedge. These are really fine old lanterns. And very well made. The rivets are copper. There is glass on all four sides behind the grates. One side is a door that opens via a little latch. This lantern measures about 15" tall by 6 3/4" by 6 3/4" with the handle up they measure 22 1/2" The brass has a beautiful, aged patina and the glass is free of any chips or cracks. The wick is still intact. They are in excellent condition with no dents or damage. A very nice and highly collectable pair of lanterns!

VINTAGE NEPTUNE NAUTICAL BRASS OIL LANTERN-1920s This is a lantern that would have been used on a ship or in some other“nautical” way. The lid has a latch and a hook. When you open the top part. It exposes the inner lantern with chimney. This lantern can be removed by pulling up on the 2 brass handles in opposite corners. The wick is in good condition and can be used. In the main lantern housing. There are 4 panes of glass that fit into a track and are removable for cleaning. There are a few chips in the bottom of this glass but they do not show from the outside. You can use any"lamp oil" for this lantern. Measures 6 ½” wide x 6 ½” deep x 14” high with handle down. PLEASE SEE PHOTOGRAPHS FOR MORE ON CONDITION. For auction is an old oil lamp. Very unusual one, I think. I have not been able to figure out too much about it. It has some age though. The bottom is weighted, which I was thinking might indicate that it was to be used on a boat or ship. The only marking is on the knob and it has an R and V on each side of a anchor. I have had this a few years in my basement bar. But changing themes and it is time to let it go. I am not sure it is functional, but the way it is made I would expect that it might be. Here is a brass oil lamp is marked but is written in German I think please see photos.the The lamp looks to be in very good condition. It may be off of a ship or train. It has a bracket to mount it to a bulkhead or a wall that is with it. Just mount the bracket to the bulkhead or wall and the lamp just slides into the bracket so it can removed to refuel the light. This antique brass/copper oil lamp is in excellent condition and has a beautiful patina. Only 2 tiny dings at the very top of the chimney about 2mm wide. It measures 13.5"H by 7" W. I can not find a makers mark. But I don't want to polish it to find out. Many antique dealers prefer brass or copper items in there natural aged state. The glass is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks and is beveled. Still has the original oil container with wick and the wick turner does rotate.

Antique Brass Ship's Oil Lantern. Looks like it was never used. Very nice condition; only one small dent in the wick assembly. And that can probably be pushed back from behind the guard very easily. There is no maker's mark or logo on the lamp. But there is an"RV" and an anchor on the wick turn knob. The glass chimney appears to be original to the lamp. Dimensions: 12 7/8" overall. 5 3/4" from back of mounting plate for the gimbal to the outside of the lamp. Chimney measures 6 7/8" in height and is 3 1/4" in diameter, the lamp body measures 7 1/2" tall and is 3 1/2" in diameter and 4 1/4" total width including the gimbal mounting pins that project 3/8" from either side of the lamp body. We are pleased to offer this RARE.ORIGINAL& SMALL circa 1920 PERKINS"YANKEE ENGINEERS" brass nautical kerosene lantern. These"DEAD FLAME" lanterns are known as being made by the PERKINS MARINE LAMP CORPORATION of New York. These lanterns were made between the years 1916 and 1930. The"YANKEE ENGINEERS" model was sold either in a galvanized steel or a brass frame. The option of marked Perkins colored globe was also available. This lantern is made of brass and is unmarked. Other than its threaded burner, which is marked DIETZ/ CONVEX. The lantern's top and base are hinged and the unmarked clear globe measures 4 1/4' tall by 2 1/2' in diameter. Overall the lantern measures ... more8' tall(not including the bailed handle) with 4' base diameter. CONDITION: The lantern is 100% ORIGINAL as is the globe! Heavy antique brass oil lamp with a nautical dual wick signal oil burner having patent dates from to 1869 to 1877 on the knob. Signal Oil" was commonally used in marine applications because it was cheap and because it's thick consistency made it suitable to do double duty as a lubricant. NOTE; modern lamp oil. Vegetable oil, olive oil, Etc will work fine as substitutes for signal oil. Burner top lifts off for lighting the dual wicks, doing so reveals a spherical preheat chamber designed to warm and thin the signal oil in cold conditions. Lamp is dent free.
