Overall this is 10 1/2" and the glass globe. Case and brass lamp do not show any damage. It is a wall mount and the round wall mount area is 6" across the center. The elder estate seller(100 miles north of NYC) said his Uncle lived in Brooklyn NY and owned a tug boat decades ago and this is from the old tug boat. It is very heavy weighing 6 pounds without packageing and box. It was very hard to read but the globe has letters and numbers that look like"9S4971-L" but not positive of the numbers as they are in lightly raised glass. The brasss cage or basket area has no breaks and it reads numbers that look like"24CGH" or something like that is raised brass. The case also reads"R&S CO. which stands for the Russell& Stoll co) There is no other writing anywhere on this 3 pc set so I have no idea how old ... morethis actually is but it is very industrial. This is a brass spot light off of a Columbia River Gillnet boat that is very unique as it is a vintage 12 volt light that is very rare. The lens says'Per Lux 200T' it belonged to a friend of mine who could not tell me the vintage only that it was"OLD" He has used it for many years long ago on his commercial fishing vessel. I do not know if the bulb lights or not as I don not have a 12v system to plug into. Either way it would make a great piece to add to your nautical collection. Salvaged Perko 360 Degree Maritime Red Lens # 31A with Brass Base
Offering for sale a salvaged Perko 360 Degree Red Lens and Light with a Brass Base. The red lens is not cracked and has lots of life in it but could use someone who can polish it up and make it look new again. The"O Ring" that goes onto the base of the lens is included but really needs replacing since it seems pretty lifeless. But it does fit the lens. The brass base has a 1/2" FPT. Is pretty rough and needs a good polishing and more. The Perko Mfg. plate is still attached to the base but I can't read a thing on it. There are plier marks on the base exterior near the pipe thread where someone has previously used a big wrench to remove it or tighten it. The light socket. 12V needs replacing. It's still there and intact but I personally wouldn't trust it. If you've got a older boat that your restoring or need ... morereplacement parts this would be a good place to start. The overall approximate height of the base and lens is 6 1/2" The base itself measures 3 1/2" diameter and 2" high. Lamp measures a stately 23" to top of handle. 18" tall without handle and at its widest a 10" diameter. With the exception of a dent in the brass at the base the lantern is in excellent condition. Lantern inner chimney has a couple of chips and a crack at the bottom where it sits in base. This can be easily replace but I beleive that this one is original so I will not replace. 2 Antique Maritime Heavy Brass Ship Lights Cobalt Blue Glass Globe Sliding Doors
Up for auction is a pair of 2 antique Maritime passageway heavy brass/bronze ship lights with cobalt blue glass globes with sliding doors and a handle for hanging. There are doors that slide on the lamp to open and close the cobalt blue glass globe. The base is all heavy brass/bronze and has a threaded top with moveable handle. On the top of the lamp it has a threaded fitting marked. 9-S-5010-L Type XXII Size B. The threaded top of the light has 9-S-2108-L. There is a gasket with washer and light socket inside, so changing the bulb is very easy. The cobalt blue globe is very heavy, please check pictures and measures 4 ½” diameter x 5” long with rounded bottom. On the rim of the cobalt blue globe it has Type H 2034 L P.G. Co. There are no chips or cracks on the globe. Underneath on the top ring it has 2099-L-3 and on the bottom section ... moreis 2099-L-4. The heavy base contains the sliding door to open and close. BRASS DROP FOUNT FOR OIL LAMP, MARITIME OR RAILROAD
Vintage drop fount for bottom-loading oil lamp. All brass construction. Some tarnish and patina. However very clean inside and in overall very good condition. Does not appear to have ever been filled with oil. Fitted with Simplex burner which used a 3/4" flat wick(not included) Wick adjuster knob is marked E. Miller& Co, Made in U.S.A. Top of burner is slightly bent. No maker markings on fount itself. Threaded collar where burner screws in measures 1-1/4" diameter. Three spring clips along side of fount held burner in place inside of lamp. All three are securely attached. Small brass filler cap is in place. Bottom bell measures 6" in diameter. Top of fount measures 4" in diameter. Height of fount is(not including burner) is approximately 3-1/4" Height of portion that would fit inside the lamp is around 2-1/4" ... moreProbably used in a maritime rather than railroad lamp. However I am cross listing in the railroad lamp category as it could have been used in a navigation lamp on or about a railroad bridge. While this fount looks similar to the type used in Adlake Santa Fe and No. 63 railroad switch lamps. This is way too large and won't fit in those lamps. Brass Gimbal Lamp, Edison Socket, Bryant Switch Maritime/Train Table/Wall Light
This light measures about 7½" tall. And the base is 4" in diameter. The socket is marked Edison, and the switch Bryant. There is a small ½" hairline crack on the first ring of the base. I tried to photograph it. But it didn't show up in the photo. The loop that hung the lamp has been cut off to make it a table lamp. The cord is definitely not original or appropriate to the lamp. Perko De-lite Bow Light, brass maritime oil lamp
Weather-bronzed’ Perko De-lite Bow lantern. Oil-burning allbrass lamp with glass lens, 12.25” tall. This model was carried for quite along time by Perkins Marine, This particular lamp was made in the late 1930s(1934 and earlier models has two brass safety bars protecting the lens, whichwas removed from all models by 1939, per the Perko catalogs) Based on estimatesof the Perko stamp in back, it may have been made in the 1940s– 50s. The oil fount was drilled out and electrified. And promptlyrestored to oil burning capability once I acquired it over two years ago. Alsorepaired was lower brass band that holds the lens in place. Vintage Antique Maritime Brass and Copper Ship's Lantern - Anchor- England
For sale is a vintage/antique brass and copper maritime ship's lantern made by Anchor in England. It's in great shape. Obviously used and showing normal wear and tear with lots of patina. The lantern has been retrofitted with an electrical ceramic light socket although it does not come with a cord. Beautiful globe- would be a wonderful light fixture for any collector or nautical buff. Antique Nautical Maritime Brass Ship Cargo Kerosene Lamp Lantern Vintage Heavy
This lantern is approximately 5.5" x 5.5" x 14.5" and weighs almost 6 lbs. All glass in intact with no cracks. It has a wedge burner. I have not tried to use it. It has been used in the past as there is soot at the top. Please see pictures for further condition. It appears shinier in the pictures than it really is. I have not cleaned it or polished it.

I have a pair of rare vintage brass Perko marine ship's lamps or lanterns. They used to be kerosene or oil but were converted to electric. They are in wonderful shape with no dents or damage and everything is intact. they do however have wear that is consistent with age. Each lantern has a finger lamp inside that is removable as shown in the pictures. A 4 inch reflector/ mirror, and 3 glass panels. Each is also stamped with a brass tag that reads" PERKO Manufacturer's Reg. Trademark Perkin's Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Miami Florida USA" on the front and another stamp on the back that reads the same thing. They both measure almost 14" tall. one being about 1/4" taller than the other one. You can definitely tell that these gems were handmade. These are very cool nautical decorations or gifts!

Just out of a local house is this Rare antique William Porter's Son and Co. binnacle lamp. The lamp is all brass and has a half round design. It is fitted with its original whale oil burner. These were made and advertised for use in steamboats of the period. The lamp measures 9 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches wide. The front measures 6 7/8 inches tall and 6 inches wide. It is in excellent condition for its age with only some lines in the brass cap on top and the font looks like it may have leaked. See photos. The lamp is nicely marked with the makers tag of William Porter's Son and Co. 194 Water Street New York. A similar example is pictured in William Porter's and Sons 1891 catalog and lists this one as the large size model. This is a 1919 No 1935 Great Britain antique maritime lamp. This lamp has been converted to electric and is in good working condition. Bulb is included. This solid brass lamp is fairly heavy and high quality construction. Brass does have some staining and tarnish on it and underneath has more tarnish that is green in color so it will need polishing this lamp. Cleaning and polishing of this lamp will be the responsibility of the buyer to do. I am not going to clean or polish this lamp at all before shipping this lamp to the buyer so please look closely at the condition of this lamp by checking photos closely before purchasing. R&S Co. Maritime Light Fixture With Brass Cage And Pyrex Globe.
This auction is for an R&S(Russell& Stoll N.Y. maritime light fixture with a brass cage and a Pyrex globe. R&S CO NY appears on the brass cage in the third picture. The light fixture stands 8 inches high and weighs more than 8 pounds. After cleaning some of the paint off the cage. We found what appears to be cast brass underneath. The cage metal is nonmagnetic and has a brass color. The base, on the other hand, may be cast iron. It is magnetic. The only information I can find on the metal is the R&S CO NY. However the information on the globe reads PYREX T.M. REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. MADE IN U.S.A. The glass appears to be in good condition. But is still connected to the base. This is a vintage Chelsea Maritime brass lantern. It has a brass slide out oil tank and has never been burned, There seems to be a piece of the burner missing but pretty sure that can be replace. It is 4 side glass walls with brass bars covering the glass. It stands 15" tall and each side is 7" wide. All the glass is in prefect condition. It has a wood handle and it too is in excellent condition. There is a place on back for hanging. A brass label on front saying Chelsea LTD Maritime. I think this lantern would be considered in excellent condition. My husband did replace a couple screws. This was an estate find. Here's a great old Dietz marine lantern in excellent condition. See Condition. From my research I believe it's circa 1917-1918. It's a dark lantern. With a brass sheath that pulls up to protect the glass. The sheath has numerous cracks around it(as most do) and is difficult to push back down(thus, no photos of it) Size is 11 1/4" tall x about 6 3/4" across the bottom. Aside from a few minor dings I can't find any fault with this lantern. If you know old lanterns, you'll most likely conclude, as I did, that it has much less wear than one would expect. Antique Brass Ship's Light Contains correct and highly sought after cobalt blue globe. A rare find. Cord including on/off switch is in good shape. Works as it should. Globe has chip to the lip that sits between the housing and lid. This chip is not visible when lid is on and light is lit. Both sliding doors(front/bottom) are present which makes this an even rarer find. It stands 12 inches high with about a 6 inch diameter. The previous owner converted it to an indoor display light. The only two things we did were clean/inspect the glass lens and replacing the light cord. Which was defective. There is some corrosion and oxidation on the original three light sockets. The lens is intact with the exception of a crack near the new light bulb that was added.
