Antique Brass / Glass Marine Oil Lantern Case- Nice Nautical Decor
A nice old brass and glass oil lantern with a brass cage over glass design. This originally held a small brass oil lamp which I do not have. The lantern has all four sides. The side that opens does not have the original hinge. When at rest on a table the door stays shut just fine. The brass edge that held the hinge pin slips inside and. When you close the hasp, the door stays in place. You may want to put a hinge on it to get it to swing open like it is supposed to. Either way, perfectly serviceable as is. We use it outdoors with an outdoor candle and it has a nice nautical look. It has a wood and brass handle for carrying. Overall in good condition but could use a good polishing and a cleaning. The glass is all good but one small corner has some loss on the inside(see close up photo) Obviously there are some minor dings and bends in the ... morebrass. This is being sold as a decorative item only and not a rare collectible antique unless you want to restore it. It is 13 inches tall not including the handle and 15 1/2 inches counting the handle. Aged Brass and Etched Glass Nautical Lamp Lantern Candle Holder
This belonged to my Uncle and he had it for roughly 30-40 years. He lived on the lake in upper Michigan. So that’s why I think it’s a nautical lamp. But I’m not really sure. The top opens and shuts, and the base turns to unlock and open. The last thing my Uncle had in the base was a 2-1/4" citronella insect repellent oil candle(shown in photo as an example. But I'm not including that in auction because it's old and dried up) The brass is aged and there is quite a bit of oxidation as you can see in the photos. I haven't attempted to clean it with soaps and solvents because I don’t know what I’m doing and could ruin it. Plus I know some people like the natural patina look. The patina blues on the bottom are gorgeous. It measures 9 ½” high. The etched designs in the glass globe are 8-pointed stars making a beautiful starburst ... moredesign. Made in India.

Here's a great old Dietz marine lantern in excellent condition. See Condition. From my research I believe it's circa 1917-1918. It's a dark lantern. With a brass sheath that pulls up to protect the glass. The sheath has numerous cracks around it(as most do) and is difficult to push back down(thus, no photos of it) Size is 11 1/4" tall x about 6 3/4" across the bottom. Aside from a few minor dings I can't find any fault with this lantern. If you know old lanterns, you'll most likely conclude, as I did, that it has much less wear than one would expect. Antique Brass Ship's Light Contains correct and highly sought after cobalt blue globe. A rare find. Cord including on/off switch is in good shape. Works as it should. Globe has chip to the lip that sits between the housing and lid. This chip is not visible when lid is on and light is lit. Both sliding doors(front/bottom) are present which makes this an even rarer find. It stands 12 inches high with about a 6 inch diameter. 2 Vintage Brass RUSSELL& STOLL NY Explosion Proof Lights- PURPLE GLASS GLOBES: Up for auction is a fantastic set of 2 vintage industrial lights which I rediscovered recently in a basement which had been untouched for over 50 years. Along with these two lights. I found 8 addition vintage explosion proof ceiling lights which I will be listing in the near future so please be sure to check back often. These 2 explosion proof lights were made and are clearly marked RUSSELL& STOLL CO. NEW YORK which is embossed on the top of the brass metal fixtures. Attached to the heavy brass fixtures(which were painted silver/ grey at one point in time) are the stunning purple glass globes. These two lights obviously once hung outside or directly in the sunlight because the maganese in the glass has oxidized over many years with the exposure to the suns ... moreUV radiation. Both thick glass globes have a perfect light tinted purple coloration to them and both of the glass globes are in excellent condition given their age having no cracks or chips in the globes themselves(other than a couple of small flea bites around the base which cannot be seen once screwed into place) and the threading on the glass allows the globes to screw into place easily and tightly without any wiggle room in their brass fixtures. Although the two lights are very similar in size and shape, there are a couple of very small differences between the two including the bulb fixtures(one is marked: BRYANT 660W 250V PAT'D NOV. 26, 1907) and the mounting brackets. I have not tampered with these two lights but I have taken them apart(as shown throughout my photographs) so that you can inspect the overall condition of each light. I have gently cleaned the interior& exterior of each of these lights so the winning bidder will receive very clean items but please keep in mind that I have not tested these lights for their working condition. The bulbs that are currently with the lights are the ones which were found with them(one being an earlier National Mazda bulb)

Which is hidden underneath the top. The story behind this item is that ships lanterns and light fixtures were salvaged to make gifts. Much like upcycling is today. IT does appear to have been cleaned at some point, or this was possibly an inside lantern because there is very little pitting and wear from the salty air. We cannot confirm this story. This is a set of 2 vintage frosted hanging lamps. They are in very nice condition with the original electrical cords/plugs. These lamps have hung in my elderly parents' home since the 70's. Although I'm not sure of the exact age. The pictured velvet covers for the cord are also included. Each lamp comes with 5 hanging crystals that hang down from the top of the lamp, and the lamps are approximately 22 inches long and 6 inches wide. These would look beautiful hanging together or separately in a living room, foyer, bedroom or even above a bathroom vanity.

I left the metal the way I found this piece and only cleaned up the glass globe. I do not see any reason why this lantern would not function properly. Circa 1940 ceiling light with nautical theme. The glass globe has raised decorations around the side- sailing ships. Anchors, and a lighthouse; the bottom of the globe has a 16-point compass rose. The figural brass canopy is a ship's wheel. This fixture is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks in the glass globe; the brass canopy shows some tarnish and wear consistent with age and use. Vintage 1942 Alderson& Gyde Nautical Ship Brass and Glass Oil Lamp Fixture WWII Measures 16.5 by 8 by 5.5 inches. Lamp is in good condition for its age. The area where the wick is put is clean and not used or hardly used. It shows little to no signs of burning marks or anything of that nature. There is moderate tarnishing and marking of the brass on the outside but most of it is purely cosmetic. There is some oxidization here and there but nothing major. This lamp does not come with a handle but has the holes for one. In terms of keys for the keyholes or locks or anything.
