Antique Vtg Rare Perko Nautical Marine Lantern Port Starboard Combination This cool old Perko nautical lantern is a hard to find model. According to my search for a similar one. The lantern has both port& starboard lenses, with a dividing plate between the ribbed red& deep aqua green glass. The lantern has old silver paint with typical surface age. The interior lamp is brass& shows surface greening. The wick advances. One of the two side mounting brackets on the interior lamp is missing. The lantern displays very nicely& the glass on the lantern is free of any chips or cracks. No dents. It measures 11" high to the top of the holding ring by 4.5" wide and 7" deep. The lantern appears to be made of mostly brass with the exception of the reflector piece. Glass and the heat distributor in the top. There is no makers mark on the piece that I can ascertain. Anchor Ships Lantern(Not a Reproduction) This is a very large antique ships lantern marked as"Anchor" To the best of my knowledge it has all parts needed to burn oil. Lamp measures a stately 23" to top of handle. 18" tall without handle and at its widest a 10" diameter. With the exception of a dent in the brass at the base the lantern is in excellent condition. Lantern inner chimney has a couple of chips and a crack at the bottom where it sits in base. This can be easily replace but I beleive that this one is original so I will not replace. Huge 22" copper Masthead Maritime Ship Lantern Oil burner nautical antique This is a big piece. Measuring 22" tall(not including handle) width of about 11" The piece is painted but as far as I can tell the most or possibly the entirety of the piece is made of copper. The lantern is a forward facing type with mounting rings on each side, an access door on the back an a top hatch that looks down into from the chimney above. Inside the back hatch, the burner assembly is on a track and is removable. It appears to be an oil/kerosene burner with a large reflector. The glass globe appears to be intact. There are three attached metal labels or tags on the front. I will try to decipher them for you, due to age and paint there are partially legible. Here is a Large 8 inch tall RED LENSE REAL GLASS marked Corning on glass Nautical SHIP. DOCK, or PIER Nautical Light. This 8 inch tall lamp has a 3 1/2 inch tall RED glass bezile lense, There are only a couple of specs on the glass that appears to be in very good condition NO CRACKS. The base is 6 inches across and the light is very heavy duty. Not sure if it is military as it appears to be somewhat grey in coloring. There is a number 9-S 4473-L in raised lettering on top. There is a 64 inch heavy duty cord with some type of plug in socket end see photo 5. Not sure if from a ship, dock or pier. Not sure if it works or what type of power supply it used. Suppose it could be rewired. REALLY NICE CONDITION VINTAGE NAUTICAL PIECE. Not sure if it could have been from the RAILROAD? This brass hanging bulkhead ship's lantern is a rare example of the workmanship and quality of Wm. Harvie& Co. Ltd. Birmingham, England, one of the largest and finest nautical lighting manufacturers at the turn of the 20th century. Dating to around 1900, the lantern has a detachable kerosene burner and hand-blown font. Except for the wick, everything on the lantern is original. Measuring 17 inches tall. Excluding the ring handle. The lantern is marked with a plaque on the domed top. It reads, Wm. Harvie& Co. Ltd. 121 Bishop Street, Birmingham. It is substantial. Weighing over 5 pounds. Lamps are. For the most part, boring creatures. They are quite useful for reassuring yourself that there are, in fact, no murderous clowns hidden in your guest room, but when it comes to design, your standard, run of the mill lamp can be a bit yawn-inducing. Luckily, there are enterprising people out there that like to make lamps out of awesome things, hence how this Ship's Lamp was born. I am unsure whether this was once oil-burning, but regardless, electric is where it's at right now, due to the fact that we have it, however, once the zombie apocalypse happens, this lovely artifact will be rendered useless. Antique Brass / Glass Marine Oil Lantern Case- Nice Nautical Decor
A nice old brass and glass oil lantern with a brass cage over glass design. This originally held a small brass oil lamp which I do not have. The lantern has all four sides. The side that opens does not have the original hinge. When at rest on a table the door stays shut just fine. The brass edge that held the hinge pin slips inside and. When you close the hasp, the door stays in place. You may want to put a hinge on it to get it to swing open like it is supposed to. Either way, perfectly serviceable as is. We use it outdoors with an outdoor candle and it has a nice nautical look. It has a wood and brass handle for carrying. Overall in good condition but could use a good polishing and a cleaning. The glass is all good but one small corner has some loss on the inside(see close up photo) Obviously there are some minor dings and bends in the ... morebrass. Rare Antique Hopkins Great Lakes Style Nautical Maritime Naval lantern
Made of galvanized steel and iron this lantern was produced for inland waterways. It is about 11 high without the handle with a diameter of 6 ¼ in. A brass plate on the front reads: Hopkins 119 Chambers St. New York” The vents have unique tree shape cutouts. It could use cleaning but I leave that to the new owner. There is surface rust on the frame. The bottom cage rod was replaced, and the red globe is missing its bottom lip(see photos) This is another rare one for your collection. Antique Peter Gray Maritime Nautical Red Globe Anchor Lantern Light Great Lakes?
Just out of a local house is this antique Maritime Ships lamp. It was made by Peter Gray around 1890 or perhaps earlier. The lantern is galvanized with old red paint. It has a Fresnel glass globe that is clear on the outside and cased with a layer or red glass on the inside. I have seen these listed in our lantern books listed as Great Lakes lights. Navy Lanterns, Stern, or Anchor lights. This light measures about 19 3/4 inches tall. 7 inches across the base, and about 7 1/2 inches at its widest. It is in good condition but has some oxidation, some damage where the bottom of the cage meets the base, and the lens has a chip. See photos. The font has an unusual burner marked Gray Boston. This is a genuine old Ship's Nautical Lantern with five glass panels. It has not been cleaned and is in its original state. The patina is darker than shown in the pictures due to the camera's flash. It measures 17 1/2" to the top of the handle and is approximately 7 1/4" in diameter. It may have a ding here or there which only ads to its character, but it is in excellent condition for its age.

Nautical style. Antique, brass sconces. These pieces are used and need to be rewired. Rewiring is simple and should take no longer that 10 minutes. One sconce is missing the threaded rod mounting hardware but one can be found at your local hardware store. The finish is fair and could be cleaned up easily with Brasso or left with its natural patina. The glass globes are in good shape and don't need replacing. This is an authentic original nautical/maritime portside glass lamp enclosure that many years ago was fashioned into a simply put. Fantastic lamp. There is a socket on the inside that illuminates the red glass and I must say that it looks incredible lit up. Obviously there is a socket at the top as well that will require the lamp shade of your choosing to complete the piece. I chose not to clean and scrub the piece so as to depict the age and authenticity more clearly. This is absolutely not a reproduction. I believe this starboard red lamp enclosure sat atop a piling somewhere in some waterway for who knows how many years. It is marked Tung Woo Hong Kong Trade Mark No W2629 Masthead. Beautiful Copper with great patina. The top opens to access the oil tank. Clear ribbed globe with no visible cracks or breaks. Great vintage condition some wear from age and use of course. Measures 12-1/2" tall 7" deep and 6" wide Very nice patina! Perfect to use or add to your collection.
