Antique Brass Nautical Ship's Lantern with Vintage Patina
Lamps are. For the most part, boring creatures. They are quite useful for reassuring yourself that there are, in fact, no murderous clowns hidden in your guest room, but when it comes to design, your standard, run of the mill lamp can be a bit yawn-inducing. Luckily, there are enterprising people out there that like to make lamps out of awesome things, hence how this Ship's Lamp was born. I am unsure whether this was once oil-burning, but regardless, electric is where it's at right now, due to the fact that we have it, however, once the zombie apocalypse happens, this lovely artifact will be rendered useless. The glass in the middle is in good shape with no chips or cracks and has a red lens inside signifying that it would have hung on the port side. Antique Brass / Glass Marine Oil Lantern Case- Nice Nautical Decor
A nice old brass and glass oil lantern with a brass cage over glass design. This originally held a small brass oil lamp which I do not have. The lantern has all four sides. The side that opens does not have the original hinge. When at rest on a table the door stays shut just fine. The brass edge that held the hinge pin slips inside and. When you close the hasp, the door stays in place. You may want to put a hinge on it to get it to swing open like it is supposed to. Either way, perfectly serviceable as is. We use it outdoors with an outdoor candle and it has a nice nautical look. It has a wood and brass handle for carrying. Overall in good condition but could use a good polishing and a cleaning. The glass is all good but one small corner has some loss on the inside(see close up photo) Obviously there are some minor dings and bends in the ... morebrass. This is being sold as a decorative item only and not a rare collectible antique unless you want to restore it. It is 13 inches tall not including the handle and 15 1/2 inches counting the handle. Antique Ships Lantern in as found condition. I am not an expert here. Tried to do some research and found similar Lanterns made by Anchor and Meteorite. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The Lantern is 15 + inches tall/ 18 inches if you include the handle and 8 inches wide. Made of Brass. The latching piece on the top of the Lantern looks to be copper. There is some light chipping on the Lens Globe but nothing serious, No cracks or breaks. Could use a good cleaning or leave the patina. Very impressive. Here is an antique ship's lantern made by Universal Metal Spinning and Stamping Co. New York. The manufacturer is stamped into the side of the lantern. Also. Markings on the top say"Starboard Classes II& III" The triangular shaped lantern has a hinged door, vented top, and a handle for carrying. I believe this is a brass lantern, but I am not certain. The metal is non magnetic. The lens is thick and'ridged' and is blue in color. There is no burner in the lantern. The lantern and lens are dirty, but I do not see any cracks in the lens, or any dents/dings in the lantern. Lantern measures about 10" tall(not including the handle) and is about 7 1/4" wide from corner to corner. In searching the internet, I have seen a very similar lantern set(both port and starboard) by the same manufacturer, sell on liveauctioneers.com, ... morefor $350. Condition: Used Fantastic antique or vintage copper/brass running board or harbor lantern piece. This was a great estate find. Originally. It was a whole lantern that was used on ships. It's got a Perkings No. 2 curved and ribbed red glass globe. This is a heavy piece that's held up well over the years. It's got some rough edges and chips to the edge of the globe, and other signs of wear to the metal body, so please examine the pictures closely. It measures 5" high by 4 1/4" wide. Antique ANKERLICHT Nautical Maritime Anchor Light/Ship Lantern Age unknown but believed to be circa 1920's. This is wired for electricity but I don't know if it is original wiring or was rewired or what. To be honest. I haven't plugged it in to test whether it works or not. Either. Because I am just a little scared to do so! I don't see why it wouldn't work but again, I am not 100% sure that it does. It stands a little over 14 in. tall and the base is almost 7 in. across. Antique Copper Oil Lantern Lamp Cut Glass
This is a copper lantern that measures 18" tall and 6 1/2" wide across. It has 6 glass sides with cut stars and vines? There is a glass oil lamp base, no wick or top that is fitted into the base of the lamp. the door opens at 2 two panes on a copper constructed hinge and latches closed. all solder joints in decent shape for its age, just one cracked pane of glass. Up for sale is a gorgeous cast metal lamp depicting a lighthouse and keeper with lantern. Very nice condition with some age wear but no damage to glass or metal structures. Includes original period etched glass globe. The lamp has been safely rewired and at that time a nice switch was added on the back side! This was a great addition as the original cord had to be plugged into a switched outlet in order to turn on/off without unplugging. Lamp is approximately 15" tall including globe. Antique Peter Gray Maritime Nautical Red Globe Anchor Lantern Light Great Lakes?
Just out of a local house is this antique Maritime Ships lamp. It was made by Peter Gray around 1890 or perhaps earlier. The lantern is galvanized with old red paint. It has a Fresnel glass globe that is clear on the outside and cased with a layer or red glass on the inside. I have seen these listed in our lantern books listed as Great Lakes lights. Navy Lanterns, Stern, or Anchor lights. This light measures about 19 3/4 inches tall. 7 inches across the base, and about 7 1/2 inches at its widest. It is in good condition but has some oxidation, some damage where the bottom of the cage meets the base, and the lens has a chip. See photos. The font has an unusual burner marked Gray Boston. This is a genuine old Ship's Nautical Lantern with five glass panels. It has not been cleaned and is in its original state. The patina is darker than shown in the pictures due to the camera's flash. It measures 17 1/2" to the top of the handle and is approximately 7 1/4" in diameter. It may have a ding here or there which only ads to its character, but it is in excellent condition for its age.

As seen in attached photos Up for auction is a authentic ship's lantern from Japan. White light made by the Sento Company LTD. The label carries several sets of numbers. 582 B899 32 12 Also. The glass itself is marked in white with"1796" Electrical fittings have been tested and work perfectly. Add a light bulb and use as a lamp. Or copper tubing could easily be removed. This is a really nice early ships lantern that is complete with burner and reflector. Etc. Lantern was made by Perko of Brooklyn, New York. The piece is solid with no rust. Galvanized steel and bras is intact. There is one very small chip in the glass that is extremely minor and not real noticeable(see photo) Lantern is approximately 10" tall or 12" if you count the ring. Antique SHIP'S OIL LANTERN by Sherwood LTD, Birmingham - ALL ORIGINAL, WORKING
This BEAUTIFUL. Antique, ALL- BRASS SHIP'S LANTERN was designed and built by Sherwood. Ltd. of Birmingham, England. Though it is very old, it is ALL here. All parts are in working order. There are NO dents anywhere, all the glass is in perfect condition, all hinges and snap closures are in good working order. The only very slight condition issue that I can find is that the wick mechanism is tight and hard to turn, but it does turn. All the solders are in perfect condition- no broken solders. This is just a GREAT example of a top-quality antique ship's light. The mounting bracket on the back is heavy and perfect. There is a little loss of black paint on the wooden handle which could easily be touched up. If you wish. The wooden handle is in great shape with no cracks. All of the rivets are copper. This lantern has been used, but over-all ... moreit is in nearly new condition. Please zoom all the photos to see all the parts and their condition. There is a little mild water spotting on the back, but it is very slight, otherwise the finish is just about PERFECT! This is a wonderful, classic and authentic marine lantern in wonderful condition. Stands 16" tall not counting the handle, is 8" wide and 6" deep. This top-quality brass lamp weighs a little over 10.5 pounds. Will insure.

Antique Birmingham, England Kerosene Lantern
We are pleased to offer this primitive lantern marked Parkison Manufactures. W. B. Cowan. It has a removable square, brass box marked"Sherwood's LTD Birmingham" for gas or kerosene.
