Hi. Up for sale is a vintage brass ship light that has been converted to a lamp. It looks great but has some wear and issues. It has some rust around the seams. There are a couple small chips in the glass. The glass globe is upside down. There is a screw missing off the back. There is no lamp shade. The lamp shade holder is loose. The dimensions(without the lamp extension) are about 16" to the top of the handle. It is about 10.5" deep and 10.5" wide.

Antique Marine Navigators Lantern Brass Signal Lamp w original Candle Boat Light
Antique Maritime Boat Navigators Lantern! It is Marked Navigators Lantern but it is so covered in old paint you can only make out the L. See pics. Somewhat rare piece. Brass with Original glass and original candle, see pics. Stands about 8 1/2" tall not including handle/hanger. It's been painted black over what looks like it's original green. Most of these I've seen have a back piece with two metal"handles" So either this one came without them and with this hanger or the handles were removed and the hanger added later. However I don't see any removal holes anywhere on the back but I do see possible old weld marks covered up with old paint. There is a metal peg missing on the front that slides the inner door around to block the light. The door does slide. It has both the inner brass slide door and blackened metal ... moresheathe. Hard to show in pics. Paint is severely flaked. It is in it's original condition as is the candle see pics. Glass is not chipped nor cracked but dingy, needs cleaned and has a cool air bubble in it but you can only see it when it's opened and I didn't get a picture. Very solid hinges are tight and fine. One small dent near globe on it's right if facing it. Hard to see but I got the best pic I could of it. Clasp is strong and door shuts tightly. Nothing wiggles or moves around. You could actually use this right now. All in original condition. The only thing I'm not definite on is it's age. It could be back as far as the Civil War era or just late 1800's. It is believed to have been used as a Railroad signal lantern. conductor's lamp on a train here in the Southwest but I have no evidence to prove that. Antique Copper & Brass Lantern Horse & Buggy
16 inch long lantern originally made in the late 19th century for the horse and buggy trade. Two sides are thick beveled glass and one has a round red glass center. Someone decided to wire it and use it for their house. We bought it years ago with the intention of restoring it to its original condition. The housing and top is copper. The bottom, which should unscrew, probably held oil. It has been dropped a few times in its 150 year history. So, it is a project. You could hang it up and put a candle in it, rewire it, or do what we meant to do and restore it.

Antique ships lantern lamp copper brass large look
This is a Large(approx. 17 1/2ins tall and approx 12ins wide) heavy( approx. 15lbs) vintage ships lantern. Which has a thick glass Fresno. It is metal which looks like brass and copper( see pics) and has a wooden base. It is electrified and has a place for a small bulb inside. I tested it with a working bulb but it did not light I imagine that it is either the switch or the wiring so it will need fixing The lamp came from an Estate sale and whilst I was not able to get a history on it I was told by the agents that it had been in the family for a long time. As you can see it has not been polished and is a little dusty( as were all the items at the sale! The glass is very thick and appears to be old with imperfections and bubbles. I found one minute flea bit chip in one of the ridges, I tried to show it on the photos but it can more be felt ... morethat seen. It is being sold as- found. This listing is for a large solid brass ship's lantern marked"PERKINS MARINE LAMP& HDWE CORP. It measures approximately 14-3/4" tall(excluding handle) and has a base diameter of 7-1/8" The lantern has been painted black over the brass which shows through in several places(see photos) The lantern is an estate find and we do not know if the paint is original. The high quality of the paint job prompts us to wonder. The glass globe has no cracks in it and the original tank plug is present. The glass is marked Perko 31-L-17A. The oil burner is missing. The lantern takes an oil burner with a 1-3/16 ID thread. There are some minor dings and dents in the lantern as well as a small split in the cap where it joins with the glass globe(see photos) There are no repairs and the split does not affect the integrity of the cap. This is a very different antique brass lantern. Probably used in the cabin of a ship or on a wall mount. The glass globe is not original. And not even old. But it does fit. I have never lit the lamp and is in as found condition. I am not near the coast anymore and figured someone may like it who is closer to the Ocean. It has great patina. I have never polished it. The fill cap has coinded edges and does unscrew easy. The wick adjustment does work and reads E. Miller& Co. Made in USA And then the large word Boston is on two sides of the lamp. Being all brass it was ment to be on or near the salt air. The inside is clean. I have never put fuel in the lamp. The lead on the bottom of the lamp was done I do not know when or what fore. Lots of hand work went into this old lamp. Smaller binnacle's were lit with one small lamp like this one. Larger compasses needed two larger lamps. A little rough around the edges but its all there. Three components are the oil burner itself, the lamp carrier with the handle& the base tag attaches to the compass housing with the angled shade. Vintage (Possibly Antique) Pair Brass Port & Starboard Marine Boat Oil Lanterns
Very nice pair of brass port and starboard oil lamps. I dont see any markings on either of them. May or may not be antique. Would look great cleaned up. I have not used them so cannot 100% guarantee that they work. Wicks look good. And move up and down. I do not see any holes in oil containers. Red coloring is flaking off of the port lantern. Bottom of starboard lantern is dented. Both have soldering. Please see the photos for exact item and condition. Antique Heavy Brass Nautical Oil Lamp Patents 1869 - 1877 2 & 1/8" Lip Chimney
Heavy antique brass oil lamp with a nautical dual wick signal oil burner having patent dates from to 1869 to 1877 on the knob. Signal Oil" was commonally used in marine applications because it was cheap and because it's thick consistency made it suitable to do double duty as a lubricant. NOTE; modern lamp oil. Vegetable oil, olive oil, Etc will work fine as substitutes for signal oil. Burner top lifts off for lighting the dual wicks, doing so reveals a spherical preheat chamber designed to warm and thin the signal oil in cold conditions. Lamp is dent free. Burner is in excellent lightly used condition including the spring clips that retain the period{lots of swirls in the hand blown glass} chimney. Has new wicks and is ready to use. Pair of 2- Old Brass ship lanterns. Made by the PERKINS MARINE LAMP CORP. out of Brooklyn New York. Brass Has a beautiful natural aged patina. The original glass lens is starting to turn a very slight amethyst color. The lanterns inside were made by E. MILLER Co. And are marked. Look at the pictures closely. This is exactly the way I found them. I think they would polish up nicely. They measure about 17-1/2" tall(including the bail) and each weighs close to 9 pounds. In excellent condition. And would clean up nicely if you choose to do so. Both show expected wear. And have a few dings. Overall in Very Good Condition.

2 ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP MARINE NAUTICAL LANTERNS ELECTRIC LAMP BIRDCAGE PERKINS
I apologize for the length but I wanted to be thorough. Up for sale are two antique nautical oil lanterns that were converted for electrical use. After some Internet research I found a match for these lanterns. They are not stamped but identically match the Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation models made during 1916 to 1931. These were considered a"standing light" and were used aboard US Naval torpedo boats. Battle ships and destroyers of the WW1 era, according to"Lanterns That Lit Our World" book 2 page 120 by Anthony Hobson. Size is 17.5 inches tall and about 9 pounds each. These may or may not have been used in that capacity but they due seem genuine even thought they are not stamped with a company name. In any case as you can see one is red and the other is green. The coloring does not seem to be original according to ... morethe research but you can decide whether to keep it that way or remove the paint. Both lanterns have colored bulbs that will come with this auction. Condition The paint on the red lantern is about 50% missing. It was difficult to get a good picture that represented how the red lantern looks with the bulb on. But there is a picture taken from inside the glass to show the condition of the paint. The red lantern also has 3 vertical seams and do not appear to be cracks. I believe the glass was replaced when they were converted since the lines are straight and do not appear to be damage related. The red lantern also has two screws in the bottom, see pic, to hold the bulb/lantern housing in place. The green lantern has a dent in the top, see pic. The"hanging hooks" are a bit out of square as seen in the pictures. I have not found any cracks or holes in the brass housing that should not be there. Both lights have pull strings to turn lights on and off without unplugging. Both have old two prong style plugs. The oil lamp bases are original aside from the electrical retrofitting that took place. There is some soldering and repair work on bulb housing but it cant be seen unless yo

RARE Antique WWII Marine Copper Brass Ship Light Stem Punk
Antique WWII Marine Copper Brass Ship Light Stem Punk STILL WORKS! Very Cool Marine Light. Glass is etched C.B. Ltd 1943 and A.P.5619 on the other side. I believe this light was originally a navigation light because to the treaded connector where the plug wire comes out. I believe it used to have a pole attached. The glass is cracked directly down the middle but the glass is not shattered. Light could be plugged into wall or restored to direct wiring as a sconce or perfect for your stem punt light project. Threaded connector is 1/2 inch from inside wall to inside wall. Height: 4.5 inch. Width 3 3/8 inch.
