Nor handles, but it does have several early 1890's Pat. No on the cap and around the rim. It is in good condition with some green corrosion around the bottom and small dents in the body. It has scratches and other usage marks. But I don't see any cracks or holes. The coil springs on the inside need to be reset when a new wick is put in place. It is empty and untested. A pair of Brass Cast Dolphin Bracket Lamps manufactured in England marked Starhing for use at sea. It was intended for use in the salon and not outside. I believe they were manufactured between the two world wars. I don't know anything about them except that they came off of a ship at some time or another. These lamps have the dolphin hinges that hook into the wall with the holders for the lamps and the lamps themselves but missing the glass tops. Made to burn oil. Some of the brass is wearing away on one and has a small dent. Very heavy weighted. There is rust on one of the hinges. Please feel free to add information if you know more about these. The body of each lamp measures 8" tall.

Antique ship nautical boat electric lamp light. Brass bronze coppper? Oakford
Up for auction to U.S. customers only is an old ship's light with Fresnel glass(no chips or cracks to glass) It stands 15 inches tall and the wire cage is 8 inches across. I am not sure if the primary metal is brass. Copper or bronze- or a combination-but a magnet doesn't stick to it. It is very heavy. It is made by Oakford. There is a light bulb socket inside but it probably isn't original and, without the cord plug, I can't test it. If it was originally electric powered, then the wire outlet on the side looks like it held a much larger power cord. The lid screws onto the top for access to the inside. I'm not sure how it was used on board the vessel- some other listings refer to it as a mast light, others describe it for use on dock pilings, others say it lit the passageways on the ship. If anyone knows for sure, let ... moreme know and I'll add it to the listing. Overall it seems in very good condition with a few relatively minor scratches to the lower finish and, of course, the green discoloration which some people call patina and want it left on the piece so I didn't try to clean up that section(new owner can do that) I don't know anything else about this item so please ask questions. Antique Brass Two Color Boat Lantern Found in upstate New York. I am told that this is a lantern from the barges that they used on the Erie Canal. The lantern has a flat back and a rounded glass shade in the front. The glass is divided in the middle by a brass shield that extends from the front of the lantern- one side is colored green, the other side red, I guess to signal whether you were coming or going. On the top is a nice decorated piece that has little cut out heart shapes and a ring handle. On the bottom, there is a flap that can fold out showing the inside burner. The burner can be removed for filling and has wick with a turning knob. The lantern is in good antique condition, the glass is intact it is ready to display. Original tarnished patina. This lamp may be handmade. It has a shade and it was made to hold a wick and kerosene. But the key that pulls the wick up is missing. Still it is a nice addition to a collector of maritime equipment. There is a piece of tape holding a white sticker: Old Brass Boat Lite $56- and then three initials that I cannot make out. I found it in my aunt's attic. She grew up in South Jersey and her father worked a sloop. Her husband was captain of the ferry that ran back and forth from Staten Island to Manhattan.

Rare Antique 1920's Perko Brass Ship's Fog Bell Marine Lamp Original Patina
Rare 1920's original 8" fog bell lamp marked on inside of bell. PERKO, Perkins M.S. Co. Bklyn, N.Y. 07-61" Since I couldn't find a similar Perko fog-bell-lamp form anywhere, I contacted the Perko Marine Lamp Corp in Miami Florida with photos of the lamp. They said that this was originally manufactured by Perkins in this lamp-form and that it is not a custom piece made outside the factory by an individual. In their library they found only a 1920 and a 1932 catalog. In the 1920 catalog, they found a lamp that had similar fittings. I believe the markings inside the bell date this lamp to sometime between 1922 when the"PERKO" trademark was created and 1932 when the company name was changed to Perko Marine Lamp and Hardware Corp. It has a well-aged patina. Height from bottom of base to top of eagle finial is 20" ... moreDiameter of bell is 8" Bell has a wonderful resonant. Distinctive fog bell sound. Lamp is in good working order. Not sure if the wiring has been changed at all- the electrical plug is the old-style with prongs of even width. Antique, heavy brass, Triple Frog-Footed, Navy style Candle Holders
According to my collector friend. These solid brass holders are probably from the Victorian era. This is based upon their construction(the brass pieces that make up the bases are attached with brass screws rather than some kind of modern adhesive) and by their irreverent designs. Each holder has an ornate, tripod base. There's a four toed, frog-like foot perched on top of each of the tripod's three feet. Three, muscular and straining bent legs come to points that hover just above the points of spear heads. The points extend just beyond the hems of what look to be tunics of ancient, Roman soldiers. The barrels of the candle holders are decorated with roped anchors, leaves, and vines. The holders seem quite heavy for their size(two pounds each holder) They are eight(8) inches high, three and a half(3 1/2) inches wide at the base, and ... moretwo and a half(2 1/2) inches across at the top. These will hold the"stick" candles. Note that the tops of the holders, which are removable, no sit perfectly straight. If you win them you could adjust them, but I didn't want to try.

Antique Maritime Oil Lamp Gavlvanized appearance but may be Brass
This Nautical Antique Oil Lamp has a galvanized appearance but I feel this is a patina created by use. I feel it may be brass or chrome plated brass as a magnet is not attracted to it. I did not want to disturb the surface as some of my buyers may appreciate the natural aging. It is 8 1/2" tall not including the top ring and 4 1/2" wide. The bottom screws off to access the oil. Container and wick. The globe in design looks something like those found in a lighthouse. As you can see from my description this is not my field of expertise, but this little lamp obviously speaks for its self to the maritime collector.

Antique Brass Boat Lamp Re-purposed or displayed. This lamp will make your day with its great patina and turn-of-the century character. DESCRIPTION The maker. 20th Century Mfg. Co moved from New York to New Jersey around 1911, dating this lamp to the early 1900's. Along with maritime lamps, the company made lights for bicycles, motorcycles and cars. The lamp is constructed of brass with a glass lens and glass reflector in the back. It was powered by acetylene gas. It measures about 8" high. 4.75" deep and 4.25" across the face. The condition is a bit rough. The back glass is cracked and stained. The door hinges are broken, the bottom screw is rusted and there are some bends and dings. Here is a great and unique piece for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an auction where it was commingled with a lot of marine/nautical items from an individual's collection. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! I have never seen one of these before. The body is made of brass. The tall neck can be screwed off of the body by the fixed bolt head on the end of it. At the end of the neck is a pinhole where the fluid vapors could be let to allow the flame for lighting the lanterns. What looks like a key is where the flammable fluid would have been put in the body. Think that is true with the"pan" around the key to facilitate the pouring. There is a brass side ... morepiece with screws in it that does not go to the inside of the pot. So. Another way to hold it. or locking into a device that it was inserted into. The brass and wood handle has some good age to it. I suspect the brass at end of handle was resoldered back on to the pot at some time in the past. There are two patent dates on the piece. On the filler cap key is a date of April 19 1892. On the pot itself is a date of April 4. 1893. Appears the piece could be used as a lantern or torch.
