Antique& Vintage Solid Brass Gimbaled Ship Nautical Candle Holders Wall Sconces. I write Antique& Vintage as 1 looks to be a copy of the original small differences can be seen in pics 2& 3. The older piece has very heavy obvious use wear throughout metal is smooth no ridges left. Both have wear are dirty and tarnished throughout. Both weigh 1 pound 14 ounces each so a good copy I would say. Could also be 2nd piece was handled less but my though its a copy. The bases are exact underneath so maybe just a replaced ball and stem holder.

Lantern has maker marks of"S.Co.Ltd. 1941" Im not sure if this is a ship lantern, railway lantern or what- I dont know much about these. Lantern is in great condition and all pieces seem to be there. Lantern measures 20" tall with handle extended up. The wick key is attached to side and wick turn knob works good. No broken glass on paynes and side door works good. Lantern has alot of brass polish residue that needs to be cleaned up. Lantern also has a wall hanging bracket on back. Please see all the photos and judge for yourself. Thanks and happy bidding.

Wonderful estate found matching pair of older heavy brass nautical ship oil lamps featuring a bell and a rounded base that rocks like a buoy. Both are converted to electricity and work well. The on/off switch has a large L on it(not sure what company this is) These are in very good condition and measure about 9" tall with a 5" base. GREAT LOOKING AND FUNCTIONAL. They are quite useful for reassuring yourself that there are, in fact, no murderous clowns hidden in your guest room, but when it comes to design, your standard, run of the mill lamp can be a bit yawn-inducing. Luckily, there are enterprising people out there that like to make lamps out of awesome things, hence how this Ship's Lamp was born. I am unsure whether this was once oil-burning, but regardless, electric is where it's at right now, due to the fact that we have it, however, once the zombie apocalypse happens, this lovely artifact will be rendered useless. I have a pair of rare vintage brass Perko marine ship's lamps or lanterns. They used to be kerosene or oil but were converted to electric. They are in wonderful shape with no dents or damage and everything is intact. they do however have wear that is consistent with age. Each lantern has a finger lamp inside that is removable as shown in the pictures. A 4 inch reflector/ mirror, and 3 glass panels. Each is also stamped with a brass tag that reads" PERKO Manufacturer's Reg. Trademark Perkin's Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Miami Florida USA" on the front and another stamp on the back that reads the same thing. They both measure almost 14" tall. one being about 1/4" taller than the other one. You can definitely tell that these gems were handmade. These are very cool nautical decorations or gifts!

It's been wired for electric but there if no really alterations from that alteration, I just has a single wire through the top. NO CRACKS, DENTS or RUST. This is just in great condition! 19 inches tall! I have not seen any of these with the milky glass. Only clear and red glass. These are referred to as"onion" due to the globe. Here's a great old Dietz marine lantern in excellent condition. See Condition. From my research I believe it's circa 1917-1918. It's a dark lantern. With a brass sheath that pulls up to protect the glass. The sheath has numerous cracks around it(as most do) and is difficult to push back down(thus, no photos of it) Size is 11 1/4" tall x about 6 3/4" across the bottom. Antique Brass Ship's Light Contains correct and highly sought after cobalt blue globe. A rare find. Cord including on/off switch is in good shape. Works as it should. Globe has chip to the lip that sits between the housing and lid. This chip is not visible when lid is on and light is lit. They are gimbal lights which means they will remain upright as the ship/boat rolls. Lights are 6" tall. Base is 3 1/2" dia. and stick out from the bulkhead approximately 5" They are wired for either 12V or 120V light bulbs and have on/off switches. Made of brass and iron. A gimbal allows something that contains liquid to self level in a situation such as a ship where the floor would not remain horizontal, something you would appreciate especially with a lamp holding flammable fuel. There is an old wick coming out of the burner side, and a thumbscrew that will open the filling space. The gimbal is made of iron, a gracefully curved heavy bar that would have been placed into a hole in a post drilled to hold a lamp such as this. The lamp itself is made of brass, made to withstand heavy duty use. When you remove the thumbscrew, the plate on the top will lift off with the wick. We could not find another example like this one so we are calling it rare. What a great chance to obtain something that would have been vitally useful in its time, but is a relic now that predates the electric light bulb. Although I could not find any markings. Use your own judgment. And look at the pictures carefully. They probably date back to the 1890s. The brass has been painted over with black paint. They both have been wired for electricity and don’t have their burners. Although their reflectors are present. They measure approximately 17” high to the top of the handle. And 7-1/4” wide. One lantern still has its mounting bracket. And the globe has a crack on the side(approx. 3” long) Also that cap on top is missing a small piece where it would attach to the lantern. For your consideration. A J.Vogels-Boon Fabricants copper and brass ships signal lamp with a Fresnel lens, and original oil burner. This is a rare beauty in both availability and condition. The lamp measures 18 tall to the top of the handle, and 10 inches deep to the back of the handle. The signal lamp operates by depressing the side lever to open the inside brass door in front of the oil lamp, emiting a brief burst of light to the next ship. Here is a very old QUALITY made BRASS/ BRONZE? NAUTICAL SHIP LIGHT. This ANTIQUE NAVIGATION light has a 6 1/2 inch base across and is about 5 1/2 inches tall. This light has really nice AGED PATINA and is a GREAT SHOW DISPLAY PIECE. there ARE 5 base bolts with this light. There are no interior parts. The glass shows on only 1/2 side of the light which was probably for a forward facing deck light. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WAS FROM A SHIP MAST? There are no makers marks. Very HEAVY about 7 lbs. The glass has a couple of flake specs see photo3 that are normal for a light this age. There is not cracks that go through only the flakes. This is a great nautical ANTIQUE FROM A TIME GONE BY. RARE UNMODIFIED ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP ANCHOR LANTERN MARITIME NAUTICAL COPPER RIVET
Up for sale is RARE UNMODIFIED ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP ANCHOR LANTERN. This is such a great find because as just stated it is UNMODIFIED. Meaning it has NOT been converted over to electric. This lamp features a brass body with handmade copper rivets. All the hardware(rivets. Hinges, hasps, etc) appear to be hand made/forged. The ANCHOR brass label is applied on the top section which opens to expose the burner. The hook and chain to secure the hinged top are still intact. There is also a hinged top cap for flame inspection. When you open the top cap you will see that the chimney is triple insulated. It has a Frenzel type lens which appears to be old and original glass. The oil tank and burner assembly fits snug inside the lantern. Upon removal of the burner assembly from the oil tank. The wick is new and the inside of the oil tank has no residue ... moreor oil smell, suggesting it has to have been either cleaned very thoroughly(with several areas inside the tank unreachable) or possibly never used! Even though it seems to be the latter of the two options we still say possibly due to now documentation or provenance on the lantern beyond the current owner. This lack of evidence of use is consistent with inside of the metal chimney where no obvious traces of soot can be found. The base has aspiration vents all around it. The burner's wick knob has the words"SHERWOODS LTD. B'HAM MADE IN ENGLAND" on it. Making this from the very early 1900s at the latest from what we can find on the company. We have no reason to believe that this burner insert is anything but original to the lantern. Meaning we believe the lantern to be from the same time period. If anyone knows any different please share with us. In use this lamp would have been hauled up the ship's mast with halyards. To secure it as such. The lamp is equipped with substantial brass bail handles on the top and bottom. These are attached to heavy cast brass brackets riveted to the body of the lamp.
