From an estate sale is an Antique Vtg Brass Wall Oil or Kerosene Lantern. It measures 13" long and the beveled glass windows measure 4" x 3" All windows are free of cracks or damage. There is some surface rust on the inside but no corrosion to the metal to cause holes or damage so it could be cleaned if needed. The very top of the lantern has been soldered(see photos) but it doesn't affect the workings of the lantern. It was wired for ship use as it has a ground wire as well? it has a very thick red glass with a few chips& cracks from use& age. nothing that compromises it's usage or condition. it weighs 11 pounds& is 10" x 6" the light itself has been tested& works. it has not been cleaned or polished by us, although it looks like someone took scouring pad or steel wool to some areas, none of which has caused any permanent or bad damage, but you can see these areas in pictures. the one crack we found is only on the inside of glass& can only be seen when held up to light& spun til found. I disassembled everything and had the metal parts dipped to remove decades of paint and crud. And then sprayed the metal parts with clear matte acrylic. I PURCHASED THIS MANY YEARS AGO AND IT HAD ABOUT 10 COATS OF BLACK PAINT ON IT. I TOOK IT TO A PROFESSIONAL AND HAD IT CLEANED AND IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL BRASS. THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO SO IT HAS DULLED OVER THE YEARS BUT WOULD CLEAN BEAUTIFUL AGAIN. IT IS IN REALLY NICE CONDITION. NO GLASS CRACKS OR CHIPS. Rare Antique 1920's Perko Brass Ship's Fog Bell Marine Lamp Original Patina
Rare 1920's original 8" fog bell lamp marked on inside of bell. PERKO, Perkins M.S. Co. Bklyn, N.Y. 07-61" Since I couldn't find a similar Perko fog-bell-lamp form anywhere, I contacted the Perko Marine Lamp Corp in Miami Florida with photos of the lamp. They said that this was originally manufactured by Perkins in this lamp-form and that it is not a custom piece made outside the factory by an individual. In their library they found only a 1920 and a 1932 catalog. In the 1920 catalog, they found a lamp that had similar fittings. I believe the markings inside the bell date this lamp to sometime between 1922 when the"PERKO" trademark was created and 1932 when the company name was changed to Perko Marine Lamp and Hardware Corp. It has a well-aged patina. Height from bottom of base to top of eagle finial is 20" ... moreDiameter of bell is 8" Bell has a wonderful resonant. Distinctive fog bell sound. Lamp is in good working order. Not sure if the wiring has been changed at all- the electrical plug is the old-style with prongs of even width. Some black electrical tape on bottom as you can see in photo. Shade is a replacement. Condition generally very good with no cracks or dings- pls see closeup photos. Antique Brass Ship Lantern Lighter Burner with Wood Handle Patented in 1890s Note: All items in our store include NO sales tax to our US customers! Here is a great and unique piece for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an auction where it was commingled with a lot of marine/nautical items from an individual's collection. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! I have never seen one of these before. The body is made of brass. The tall neck can be screwed off of the body by the fixed bolt head on the end of it. At the end of the neck is a pinhole where the fluid vapors could be let to allow the flame for lighting the lanterns. What looks like a key is where the flammable fluid would have been put in the body. Think that is true with the"pan" around the key to facilitate the pouring. There is a brass side ... morepiece with screws in it that does not go to the inside of the pot. So. Another way to hold it. or locking into a device that it was inserted into. The brass and wood handle has some good age to it. I suspect the brass at end of handle was resoldered back on to the pot at some time in the past. There are two patent dates on the piece. On the filler cap key is a date of April 19 1892. On the pot itself is a date of April 4. 1893. Appears the piece could be used as a lantern or torch. It is made out of brass and has one side with green ribbed glass and the other side with red ribbed glass. There is also a divider made of brass that separates the two colors from view of passing ships on the high seas(sometimes seen missing or damaged on other lights) The brass has a nice patina from many decades of life. There is a decent size dent on the slightly-domed top(please see photos) The side of the light is marked with Perko's logo and company info. Being made in Brooklyn,NY. My guess as to age would be from around the 1930s or 40s. It could be even earlier-back into the 20s or so- but I'm not certain. The glass is in good condition. With no major breaks, cracks or scratches. ... morethere is normal wear consistent with age on both red and green glass(in the center particularly- please see photo) Also. Each of the red and green also have a very small chip in one of the thin ribs that runs laterally across the glass. Large, Rare Antique Brass Perkins Ship Lantern, BLUE GLASS
My father purchased this ship lantern in 1964 at moss point Mississippi.It came from one of the ships in the National Defense Reserve(Ghost Fleet) that was anchored in Blakeley River. AL. It's in good shape with a few signs of age and wear. The glass does have a small ship in it. Its condition is further detailed in the photographs. A SET OF ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN BRASS GIMBALED NAUTICAL SHIP LAMPS
A good example of a ships gimbaled lamp from the Edwardian era. The numbers on the base are AP9009 and the makers mark is almost visible. They have been rewired at some point and have a switch in the cord. They are set into a Finished Mahogany base. They could use a good cleaning and have the usual scratches and dings which is not unusual for there age. These are not an exact pair but very close. The lamp shades are included.

ANTIQUE SOLID BRASS SHIP'S PERKO LANTERN PERKINS MARINE LAMP & HARDWARE CORP.
This listing is for a large solid brass ship's lantern marked"PERKINS MARINE LAMP& HDWE CORP. It measures approximately 14-3/4" tall(excluding handle) and has a base diameter of 7-1/8" The lantern has been painted black over the brass which shows through in several places(see photos) The lantern is an estate find and we do not know if the paint is original. The high quality of the paint job prompts us to wonder. The glass globe has no cracks in it and the original tank plug is present. The glass is marked Perko 31-L-17A. The oil burner is missing. The lantern takes an oil burner with a 1-3/16 ID thread. There are some minor dings and dents in the lantern as well as a small split in the cap where it joins with the glass globe(see photos) There are no repairs and the split does not affect the integrity of the cap. PAIR 2 ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP LAMP MARINE NAUTICAL LANTERN PERKINS LAMP BROOKLYN NY
Pair of 2- Old Brass ship lanterns. Made by the PERKINS MARINE LAMP CORP. out of Brooklyn New York. Brass Has a beautiful natural aged patina. The original glass lens is starting to turn a very slight amethyst color. The lanterns inside were made by E. MILLER Co. And are marked. Look at the pictures closely. This is exactly the way I found them. I think they would polish up nicely. They measure about 17-1/2" tall(including the bail) and each weighs close to 9 pounds. In excellent condition. And would clean up nicely if you choose to do so. Both show expected wear. And have a few dings. Overall in Very Good Condition.

2 ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP MARINE NAUTICAL LANTERNS ELECTRIC LAMP BIRDCAGE PERKINS
I apologize for the length but I wanted to be thorough. Up for sale are two antique nautical oil lanterns that were converted for electrical use. After some Internet research I found a match for these lanterns. They are not stamped but identically match the Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation models made during 1916 to 1931. These were considered a"standing light" and were used aboard US Naval torpedo boats. Battle ships and destroyers of the WW1 era, according to"Lanterns That Lit Our World" book 2 page 120 by Anthony Hobson. Size is 17.5 inches tall and about 9 pounds each. These may or may not have been used in that capacity but they due seem genuine even thought they are not stamped with a company name. In any case as you can see one is red and the other is green. The coloring does not seem to be original according to ... morethe research but you can decide whether to keep it that way or remove the paint. Both lanterns have colored bulbs that will come with this auction. Condition The paint on the red lantern is about 50% missing. It was difficult to get a good picture that represented how the red lantern looks with the bulb on. But there is a picture taken from inside the glass to show the condition of the paint. The red lantern also has 3 vertical seams and do not appear to be cracks. I believe the glass was replaced when they were converted since the lines are straight and do not appear to be damage related. The red lantern also has two screws in the bottom, see pic, to hold the bulb/lantern housing in place. The green lantern has a dent in the top, see pic. The"hanging hooks" are a bit out of square as seen in the pictures. I have not found any cracks or holes in the brass housing that should not be there. Both lights have pull strings to turn lights on and off without unplugging. Both have old two prong style plugs. The oil lamp bases are original aside from the electrical retrofitting that took place. There is some soldering and repair work on bulb housing but it cant be seen unless yo

Antique WWII Marine Copper Brass Ship Light Stem Punk STILL WORKS! Very Cool Marine Light. Glass is etched C.B. Ltd 1943 and A.P.5619 on the other side. I believe this light was originally a navigation light because to the treaded connector where the plug wire comes out. I believe it used to have a pole attached. The glass is cracked directly down the middle but the glass is not shattered. Light could be plugged into wall or restored to direct wiring as a sconce or perfect for your stem punt light project. Threaded connector is 1/2 inch from inside wall to inside wall. Height: 4.5 inch. Width 3 3/8 inch.

Lantern is not dented or structurally damaged. Lantern looks like it was cared for very well for many years. But has been neglected in recent years. There are some"heat marks" on the base, and it looks"spotty" in places. These might be removed by polishing, and lantern is currently in need of polishing. Fuel holder part has been soldered near top(this may be a manufacturer's doing, and not a repair, since all seem to have it) and glass chimney is cracked near top. See photos for condition. This item is located in Bumble Puppy Estate Sale store at 621 Westhill Blvd in Appleton where we have over 7.500 square feet of treasures to be explored.
