Converted Antique Marine Lamp Cargo Lantern Brass Viking Ships Steampunk
Antique Viking Cargo Lantern Converted to AC 110-120 v with Edison Bulb Just finished my latest conversion using an old Viking mast lantern using antique and vintage electrical parts. This is a larger Viking lamp. Measuring approx 14-1/2" from the base to the top not including the wire hangers. If the hangers are included it is about 21" Thought the original old lamp was too small for the conversion so I did not use it. Instead I used an antique porcelain fitting with a brass top from a part from an antique Aladdin oil lamp. These were joined by a friction fit and further cementing with high heat silicon which does not show. The on/off switch is also old. 1940 or older is my guess. All the wiring is new reproduction cloth covered twisted pair wire. The bulb, which is included, is a 60 watts. 8 filement reproduction Edison type bulb. ... moreThe lit bulb in my pictures doesn't show up well due to the brightness. It is quite beautiful to see when lit. At the end of the cord is an antique 2 prong vintage plug. likely 20's or 30's. This lamp was made to hang from a hook or wall bracket. Perhaps in a corner, over a period piece of furniture or in an alcove. Have put on extra wire that the buyer can trim to fit the space. The switch hangs free and was intended to hang conveniently down a wall for easy reach. This could be removed if the light were to be used with a wall switch or dimmer. The repro Edison bulb is included and is brand new but we do not guarantee them. They seem to be a bit more fragile regular bulbs. My experience is that they last longer if put on a dimmer and turned down about 10% We pack well and have shipped world wide since 1998. Measures 17 inches tall and 12 inches wide and is in great condition. Maybe brass or brass and copper. Not sure. There is nothing inside but there is a little fitting on the side of the unit that would allow one to run wires in, one could simply set a lamp inside and run the courd out. Very heavy item.

F H LOVELL& CO.Antique Brass Nautical Ships Lantern late 1800's lamp. This lantern looks great! The glass is thick and very old. There are no flaws.Chips or cracks in the glass. I was going to electrify this lantern but it would not go with any of our other decor.Just a couple of slight dents in the brass from use. Right now there is no means by which to light this lantern. I dropped in a light bulb to show off the color of the glass when illuminated. This is a great piece of history. F H Lovell started around the civil war era. It made marine lanterns primarily. By the early 1920's the name was changed because the company merged with a railroad lantern company so this lantern was most likely manufactured around 1880. The lantern is 10 inches tall(14 inches tall with handle) and the width is 9 inches in diameter.

This is a pair of Antique/Vintage brass boat running lights in fresh estate condition. Please see the photos for condition- there are no makers marks that I can see. The glass lenses are a combo of Red and Green glass. One crack can be seen in one of the glass lenses but no glass is missing so could be glued and still display well- some of the metal fin is missing but as it is at the back of the light it will still display well once it is cleaned. This is a great little item. I was told it is a ship's binnacle lamp. It is in very good used condition with normal aged discoloration and no denting that I can see. But without polishing it, it is difficult to tell. I ran my hand over it and did not feel any damage. I left the original patina as is because personally, I think that is part of it's charm. Antique Brass Lantern Oil Pot Fuel Font - Early Nautical Fixed Globe Lamp Part
Here are the dimensions. The hole this pot fits is 2 1/2 inches across. The pot spans 3 1/4" across its base flange. Or outer edge. 2 inch height between top of threads and bottom of Sangster clips. Stands 2 1/4" overall. All brass. This pot has a crease in its bottom rolled edge, and one clip has been re-soldered a long time ago. The clip repair does not harm how the pot sits and both of these issues are visible in the pictures. The threads are 7/8ths across and suffer no damage. Springs are strong and pot will hold oil. Measures about 16" high(including the handle) x 6" wide. Weight is 8 pounds. To help give an idea of scale. In the photos I put the light next to a regular size coffee cup. There are no markings on this light that I can find. There has been no cleaning or restoration done to this light, it has quite a bit of tarnish and natural patina. There is a small dent on the top but no other dents. One of the support braces has come loose(see photo#11) The wiring is ancient and not useable. One of the lenses has a crack that runs about a third of the way up the lens(see photo#12)there are no other cracks and no chips on either of the lenses. For sale is an Antique Japanese Nippon Sento Co. Ltd. Ships Brass Oil Signal Lamp Lantern. This is a very rare lantern I have never seen another one like it listed on Ebay. The lamp is in excellent condition as evident by the photos. It has a very nice patina on the outside and looks great as is. Or can easily be polished for a brilliant shine. The lamp has a wooden handle, and on the left side of the lamp is a thumb toggle switch that opens and closes an aperture behind the lens that allows the light to have the appearance of turning on and off. I'm no expert, but I believe the lamp was designed for semaphore which is a method of using light to visually communicate with another ship, or from ship to shore, and vice a versa. The toggle switch works smoothly, and the door opens and closes freely. Please closely review all of the photos ... morefor the material condition of the lamp. The lamp has the original oil/kerosene pot, but it is missing the glass chimney and possibly a reflector that may have fit in the small rectangular slot at the end of the pot. A replacement glass chimney can be easily found online. The lantern measures approximately 20" inches from the top of the handle to the base, and it is approximately 10 1/2" inches wide. If you are a serious collector you do not want to miss the opportunity to own this lantern you may never see another one like it on Ebay. Antique Nautical Brass Lighthouse Lamp PAISTE Fixture-Keeper-House-Boat-Waves
I'm quite sure this classic lighthouse lamp is over 100 years old. I found the"PAISTE" label when I removed the glass cover and looked at the socket. This company produced the lion's share of their products in the 19th century. The photographs give you an idea of the details that give this lighthouse life. The keeper is holding his lamp as he looks to sea as waves lap onto shore upon his boots. You can see the house and a rowboat pulled ashore. The tones of bronze. Brass and copper show up under different lighting. It works as it should with no problems with the chain. Only a little fraying to the cord at it's base is present. The full height is 13 1/3 inches, and it's 7 1/4 inches across. I scoured the internet to find another and was unsuccessful.

Antique G.V. Harnisch EFTF Grundlagt 1842 Brass Kerosene Style Captains Lamp
Here we have an awesome antique G.V. Harnisch EFTF Grundlagt Brass Kerosene style electric captains lamp with the date 1842 on the plaque. Beautiful frosted glass globe with world maritime map measuring 16 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" in diameter at the base. It works and is in excellent condition with some crackling on the brass surface on the body of the lamp; I don't know why that is but it is a unique and wonderful antique piece of maritime lighting by a very renowned and old company based in Denmark who became the sole supplier of navigational equipment to the Royal Danish Navy in 1848.

Antique 1893 Royal B and H Railroad Bronze Brass Oil Lamp Lantern 120 YRS OLD
Up for sale is an Antique Bronze Royal Lantern. It is also marked B& H on the fill cap. Which I assume is for the Railroad. There isn't a globe with this. Nor handles, but it does have several early 1890's Pat. No on the cap and around the rim. It is in good condition with some green corrosion around the bottom and small dents in the body. It has scratches and other usage marks. But I don't see any cracks or holes. The coil springs on the inside need to be reset when a new wick is put in place. It is empty and untested.
