Vintage sterling silver ring with cross motif. This is a beautifully made ring. It has tiny turquoise chips surrounding the cross and i'm not sure if they are ruby and sapphire chips or lapis and some other semi precious stone chips. The ring weighs 9.2 grams of solid sterling silver. And is approximately a USA size 5. The stone chips are all set behind what seems like glass so they wont fall out. There is no damage to the ring it is in excellent condition for it's age. It has a makers mark on the back the letter S with a line through it and Sterling. Wonderful Vintage Sterling Silver Marked Crucifix Size 9 Ring
A very sweet little ring. This much loved and clearly vintage ring is quite uniquely designed, with a cross and a corpus of jesus affixed to it. While not a true crucifix-the corpus is fixed to the ring-I have a hard time finding another way to describe the ring's unusual design. As it is not simply an image of jesus, but sculpted silver. The ring has markings on the inside-Sterling" and a large M printed inside. The ring is around 19MM across-which I believe would make it a size 9. It weighs 2 grams. A very lovely piece. This listing was made by the family of Karen Doreen Hartsoe Koontz. Whose Franciscan order name was Sister Luke Panteleimon. Sister Luke passed away on 8/24/2013. From liver failure. She was 55. While it would never even occur to us to sell the things she valued. Much of what she left behind was simple stock-only ... morea simple rosewood rosary and a few other objects meant anything of significance to her personally. In her last days. She mourned that her stock items were not being sold-she saw her role on eBay as much as a vocation as any other role. To provide inexpensive and beautiful religious items to people who would have a hard time affording them otherwise. Given this.
