CHARMING Vtg Sterling Silver Four Leaf Clover 7 6mm Real Akoya Pearl Brooch Pin WONDERFUL vintage sterling silver and real ocean(Akoya) pearl brooch. It has seven four leaf clovers. Each with a large 5+ mm pearl in the center, a lovely old fashioned art nouveau design. It was absolutely black, and I asked my jeweler to polish it just enough to remove some of the darkest, but leave some so it does not look like a brand new piece. If you prefer, you could have it polished the rest of the way, but the shadings give it a nice depth and sense of age. Circa 1920's-30's. It measures 1 3/4" wide by 1 1/4" high; weight is a sturdy 10.7 grams. Unsigned. My jeweler confirmed that it is both sterling and that the pearls are real. The pin and clasp work well. Vtg Taxco Sterling Silver Bracelet Earrings Set Grapes Small Charming!
This is a marvelous set of matching bracelet and earrings from Taxco. Mexico, at least 40-50 years old. They are all solid sterling with a combined weight of 27 grams. The bracelet is marked"925 TD-unreadable] Mexico. The earrings have a mark that has been obliterated by having one of the wires soldered over it. However, they're identical to the bracelet. These have a lovely old-silver patina. I've done a light polish to bring out the highlights and they could be polished more if you prefer. Please note: The bracelet is small- 2 1/16" across the widest part of the inside, with a 1 1/8" gap. The grapes on the earrings are 5/8" high, with the ear wires somewhat higher. This was an estate find. But was in with some other items i wanted and this was in a lot of items. I have no idea what is would be used for but i looked some up on ebay and there were a few listed and they are quite pricey. This one is tarnished and is signed Godinger and then a trademarking after that, i can't make out on the bottom. I don't see where its marked sterling or 925 anywhere, so it may only be plated? I have no idea. But with that being said, it is extremely well built. The wheel moves freely and its quite heavy weighing at 1 lb 1.7 oz. Would make a very cool center piece and could be used for candy or easter eggs or whatever? I'm leaving it the way i found it, but i'm sure it would clean up quite nicely with some silver cleaner.
