Bracelet, and pin set affixed with St. Anthony medals. The necklace features medium and small gold plated crystals, with three floral links at the center. The links have rectangular black glass panels with St. Anthony medals applied. St. Anthony is pictured in his traditional pose, holding the Christ Child on his left arm and three lilies on his right arm. The bracelet has five links with a double row of medium sized gold plated crystals between each link. The matching pin has two links fused together. Two of the medium sized crystals on the necklace are black. This appears to be an intentional part of the design, to match the black glass panels. This set appears to date from the 1930's to 1940's and might be Czech in design. The construction of the findings. Bead caps, and twisted rings are usually Czech attributed, as are the split rings on the necklace and bracelet. The necklace clasp appears original, but the bracelet clasp seems a little newer, a possible replacement. A very unique and striking set that everyone will notice and admire! Antique Iroquois Indian Blue Beaded Pincushion w/ Hundreds of Clear Glass Beads
Up for auction is a beautifully crafted antique beaded pincushion. Crafted by one of the talented Iroquois beadworkers around the turn of the past century. It is made of blue wool in the shape of a Victorian boot, and is decorated with hundreds of large clear glass seed beads. Notice the elaborate three-dimensional leaf and flower motif decorating the front of the pincushion. Additional beads decorate every seam. Then there are loop dangles from the bottom of the shoe, also made of beads, and to top it off, there's a twisted double-strand of beads for a hanger. The back is of peach-colored cotton. A very nice antique Iroquois pincushion! The pincushion is a nice largish size. Perfect for display. It measures 7" from the top to the toe(about a 10" drop to the top of the hanger to the toe) and 1½" deep. This beautiful ... morepincushion is in really nice condition for its advanced age. There is a certain amount of damage to the blue wool on the top side, but this is the only real issue. As far as I can tell, every single bead is still in place, all the dangles are still attached on all sides, and the twisted beaded handle is still firmly attached. This is an attractive authentic NE Native American beadwork item from the early years of the past century, and it will make a terrific addition to someone's collection.
