The newer Sea View Inn(this photo, now Haleiwa Joe's) was relocated in Haleiwa town on Kam Hwy near the Anahulu(Haleiwa) bridge in 1955 on the Haleiwa Hotel original site, it closed in 1988. It was a popular restaurant featuring local food and was frequented by surfers, tourists, and local residents. It served home style food, and was one of the few places that stayed open late enough to get a bite to eat after sundown. It also specialized in serving turtle steaks. It went thru several changes of ownership and since had been refurbished from the original building. It would make a great gift for someone who likes this area or historic images of Hawaii. DESCRIPTION: This is an estate found vintage 1981 Old School Chrome and Red Mongoose Supergoose BMX Bicycle. It is in good used condition with some wear and use as shown(see pics. It has no damage, repairs, rusting or corrosion unless otherwise stated(the handlebars have some rusting) It has all the original stickers intact as well(see pics) The frame is chrome-moly with red accent parts. Here is a set of ACS Z Rims laced up to an ACS hub in the rear and a Sunshine hub in the front. Both the front and rear have alot of brake rub. I have seen and heard about guys lightly sanding the brake rub marks out of the rims but I have never had the time to try this. I think there is a thread about it on the BMX Museum? The wheels actually spin pretty darn true! I will note that the spokes are NOT tight! These will need to be tightened and trued if you are going to ride them! The fourth pic shows the only area where there is a"nick" in the side of the rear rim. The 8th pic has"ACS Z RIM PAT PEND. but it was difficult to capture. The wheels are pictured with a CompIII rear and a Cheng Shin front that will be shipped with the wheels along with the inner tubes. I will use these as spacers between the wheels when shipping them. ... moreThe 9th and 10th pic has a date stamp of 1981 on the rear wheel. The rear hub is an ACS with" made in the USA" 3581 which kind of surprises me because I didn't know that ACS parts were made in the USA? The front hub is a Sunshine hub. 1981 MXR micro flanger project This pedal is unique in that it does not have any sweep modulation. Only the regeneration control has any effect on the sound. The flange tone comes through but has no movement. Like a wah pedal in a stationary position. I have never bothered to have it restored to full function because it has a truly unique one of a kind tone. Sounds great for drop tunings. This is not a reissue it is the original version with the Reticon SAD512D BBD chip!
