Acquired from the Vatican in 1957, they remain intact by their original cellophane covering which protects both tamps and coins. The coins appear to be One Lira, with a figure of Justice holding book& scales on the obverse and the Vatican coat of Arms on the reverse. Each set has two coins and two original GEM UNC(unused) Vatican stamps. The coins appear to be made of aluminum or steel with a mintage of approximately 177,000 coins.

All coin grading is subjective. This is more difficult with non U.S. coins as the standards vary for each country. We try to be as accurate as possible, but we are far from perfect. I will gladly refund ALL payment if I am notified within 7 days of you receiving the coin, that you are not satisfied. I charge what I can determine to be the lowest rate and I will combine for reduced postage where possible. Hi.you are bidding on a Lot of TWO- problem free-exceptionally detailed Vatican City 1 Lira coins-a 1951 and a 1952-Y# 49. The coins are 64& 63 Years Old(with nice details. And highly luminescent) I believe they exhibit the details equivalent to an"Uncirculated" UNC" example.
