I have only seen one other a couple of years ago, very Mid Century Modern and a perfect item to hang in your home, the clock is wrought iron and has gold tone signs of the ZODIAC for each of the 12 hours, very cool and very old, the clock winds up and it keeps great time, comes with the key! This is a real gem, needs to be cleaned but wanted to offer in it's vintage condition! Measures 20" in diameter, Happy Bidding!

This is an original 1940 edition of the Boy Scouts of America"Handbook for Boys" This 680 page book has a neat section of color pages in the front depicting the different patches and merrit badges that a young scout could earn. This has the neat Norman Rockwell cover as well. The condition of the cover is very good with light wear. The spline is tight and intact with light edge wear. But with NO splits. Collins' Engineer's Diary for the year 1940 This original diary from 1940 contains 170 pages similar to the ones in my photograph of Engineering tables. Diagrams, statistics, etc in mind-numbing detail. The diary covers the full year of 1940 and contains no entries; it is completely unused. It also has the usual'cash account' pages. memorandum' etc at the end, and some pages of small scale graph paper. The cover is either leather or faux leather; I am not sure which. The spine is basically sound; there are zero loose pages. The diary has been referred to; it has all the usual signs of being thumbed through so is not in pristine condition; it has a few minor dogears. Scuffs, a couple of pencil marks, and two pages(in the diary for February) are somewhat discoloured in one corner. That's me just being pernickity and ... morepointing out all the minor faults that i can see; generally. It is in good condition. The title page inscription reads'With the compliments of CC Wakefield& Co' and is signed. Neatly, by the one previous owner. This has been owned by my family. I strongly suspect, since new. VERY SCARCE* OLD 1940's WWII VTG KNOX AAF US ARMY AIR FORCE CRUSHER STYLE CAP MILITARY CRUSH HAT This offering is for an old original WWII AAF Air Force Crusher Style Cap. The cap is maker marked in the crown"PREMIER KNOX" and the sweatband is stamped in gold"FT KNOX EXCHANGE MILITARY STORE FT KNOX KY" The original makers paper tag is also still attached to the underside of the sweatband as seen in our close-up photo's both above and below. The oilcloth covering in the crown is a transparent orange color and the Knox Premier makers asking is still visible beneath it. The cap is made of a dark greenish brown wool knit with a leather brim. Sweatband and strap having a soft bendable crushable design. The overall condition is as seen in our photo's both above and below. The is light overall wear, minor creases ... moreand some minor soiling. There are also a few small moth nips on the top but no actual holes. The leather chin strap is the type that encircles the entire cap and the original cap buttons are still in place. I believe the insignia on the front of the cap is original to it and is a bit unusual in that it does not have a wreath above the eagles head. The leather brim is in excellent condition with no really notable wear. The sweat band stitching has come loose in a couple of spots but it's still firmly attached. There is no size marking in the hat but the inside circumferanc eat the sweatband is app. 22¼" making the hat app. a size 7 to 7 1/8. Overall the hat still displays beautifully and it will make an excellent addition to someone's collection, shouldn't it be yours! It does have some wear around the edges and a few minor scratches on the top surface. But as you can see the cigarettes word, and koala are in good condition. This cigarette box was a family owned piece and came directly from my father who was in world war 2 and stationed in Australia. I I have been told that this is part of the trench art collections. It is in very fine condition with very minor pitting to the surface. It appears to be made of chrome or a chrome finish. The highlights on the ashtray are just reflections in the chrome. This ashtray was a family owned piece and came directly from my father who was in world war 2. It has been well taken care of over the years and still has some nice shine to it. The plane on top does swivel. But I am not sure that this was the way it originally. Spiral bound with some color pictures, black ink with yellow and blue highlights. There are a few places where the cover has ripped off of the spiral. There are a couple of light food stains and there is a hand-written number in the corner of the first page. Guyette& Schmidt visually appraised these decoys in hand to be made by Jay Parker. Parkertown, N.J. 1940 merganser pair of wooden duck decoys. Both have a two piece laminated solid flat bottom body measuring 15 long, 4.5 wide, 3 thick. On bottom in pencil signed: Jay Parker, Parkertown, N.J. 1940. Cold stamped SOH, complete with lead weight and leather line tab, the drake is also signed in pencil 9/2/58. Also signed in pencil but is somewhat unlegible is: J. Hillman. The heads have painted eyes and a carved bill line where it meets the head. Overall very minor nicks and wear with some areas of light crazing. The drake has some tail chips that appear as when they were made. Very good, original condition with no damage or repairs. These decoys were rigged for hunting but were unused. A very vintage sugar cube tray from Germany. This was my Grandmothers and she came from Dusseldorf in the 1940's. The tray is in perfect condition and ready to use. Measures 6" by 1.5" to the top of the handles and weighs 2.5 ounces. Constructed from solid brass and plated with the artificial silver known as- Nickel silver. Also as German silver, Argentan, new silver, nickel brass, albata, alpacca, or electrum, is a copper alloy with nickel and often zinc. The usual formulation is 60% copper, 20% nickel and 20% zinc. Nickel silver is named for its silvery appearance, but it contains no elemental silver unless plated. The name"German silver" refers to its development by 19th-century German metalworkers. Crown Suitcase-Vintage 1940's W/Keys & Original Capital Airlines Tag, Nice!
This antique suitcase is very cool! It has both original keys and the original cardboard Airline tag. The inside is purple satin which is in good condition. There is a board peeling away on the inside that could easily be re-glued. It is shown in the 7th photo. There is a vintage Wisconson Dells sticker on the front of the suitcase which could be removed but I think it adds charm and charater to the piece. Vtg 1940's Art Deco Yellow Amber Brass Pin Daisy Sun Flower Bead High Setting
This sparkly amber bead is 15mm in diameter and sits high in a setting of large filigree prongs. The prongs are pressed with tiny flower patterns. The daisy like petals are open framework. This pin also resembles a sunflower with its yellow orange color and double layer of petals(prongs and frame) The metal is pressed brass with some age darkening but it is otherwise intact. No dents or breaks. It has a 1/2" working pinback. It appears the previous owner reglued the bead in the prongs. The bead is pressed amber meaning it was heated and compressed into a round shape. This process causes fissures called sun spangles which gives it the glowing effect. Although this technique beautifies and adds transparency to amber, it also devalues prehistoric pieces by altering them. This piece is unlikely prehistoric so no harm no foul. It has its ... moreown historic significance as this method was popular in Art Deco jewelry for making the surface shiny and the shape symmetrical. This is a nice specimen of Art Deco amber jewelry.
