Here's a very nice copy of Flash Gordon and the Witch Queen Big Little Book#1190 from 1936(Whitman) The condition is at least VERY FINE/NEAR MINT with very minute wear on the corners and edges. A very nice spine that is fully intact and the interior paper quality is about as good as it gets with off-white to white pages! The cover colors and gloss are brilliant with no fading. Wood, steel frame, hardened rubber tires, original upholstry is intact(beneath add on upholstry fabric c. 1956) This carriage is unique in a number ways. Some of the features include: a foot pedal brake, the carriage itself swivels on the frame, the bassinet rotates approximately 160 degrees, the base platform within the carriage has an attached hinged headrest support for range of movement. I believe all of these features are distinguishable from the photos included for this listing. I have examined this doll carriage thoroughly and have not been able to distinguish any markings, stampings or other discernable aspects relating to the manufacturer. When taking the photos, I attempted to display ... morethe carriage showing all pertinent characteristics that a potential buyer may be interested in. I made sure to display the unit with any potential problem areas displayed, such as the tires and bottom frame- showing the most noticable wear areas of the hardened rubber tires. 1936 Vintage Sofa - Wood Frame with Cushions - Excellent Condition! Route 66.
This wood-frame sofa was purchased by my grandparents in September of 1936. In Chicago. It has a beautiful wood frame and heavy cushions that are surprisingly comfortable. The cushions were originally covered in gold fabric, but were recovered in the 1990's in Route 66 fabric. The sofa measures 6' in length, 3' feet deep, and 3 feet high on the back. from the floor to the seat cushion is 16" in height. The arms are wide enough to hold your coffee cup! The sofa is in very good condition. The wood does show some wear in spots and you would expect. The cushions do show wear, but the fabric is still in good condition overall. The sofa can still be used for many years to come! We can not ship this sofa. Here is an old rubber toy“promotional model” car that closely resembles a 1936 Ford. On the bottom. It is marked“Made at the Firestone Exhibit Great Lakes Exposition Cleveland 1936” It was made to promote Firestone tires and the Expo. The original box has similar markings and is marked 1936. It is a red painted hard rubber car with white rubber tires. It measures about 5 inches long. CONDITION: The CAR is in overall GOOD condition for its age. It does have age cracking of the paint and some scattered wear. As the pictures show. The white rubber tires have darkened and cracked with age. The ORIGINAL BOX is in pretty good condition and is complete. But two flaps have been taped on, otherwise this is one of the nicest, most complete box I have run across. Here is a letter addressed to Mrs. P.A. Peterson in Poulsbo. Washington. Surprisingly no return address, but the postmark is from Brooklyn, NY Dec. 21, 1936, with a Flatbush cancellation. The letter takes up both full sides of the paper; signed by L. G. Russo. It starts out by telling her how she can'stimulate more egg laying' and goes on to try to sell her a'Poultry Culture' and/or'National Poultry Institute Course' for $100. This is a Vintage 3 1/4" 1636-1936 Harvard University Tri Centennial Bronze Medal.Made by the Medallic Art Co. New York that is in really nice condition as can be seen in the pictures shown.There are much nicer details on the front and back of Bronze Medal than our pictures show.The size of the Harvard Medal is about 81mm or 3 1/4" in round diameter.This Bronze Medal would make a nice addition to a Harvard or Medal collection.
